  • Amazing Condo in Paradise

"Our family of five (3 adult children) just returned from a week's stay in this condo. It was our first trip to Zihuatanejo and our first time outside of an all-inclusive resort. We all agreed it was a GREAT vacation because we got to experience the wonderful culture of Zihua. We have taken several vacations to Mexico and this condo - from the veranda with comfy furniture for all of us to enjoy, to the beautiful home décor and furnishings - was the best accommodations we have had thus far on any vacation. From sun up to sun down, our family thoroughly enjoyed the 180 degree views of La Ropa Beach, especially the lightening shows at night. Falling asleep every night to the sound of the surf was another highlight of this trip. The condo was outfitted with everything you could need - kitchen appliances and utensils, bathroom and laundry supplies, A/C and ceiling fans, and even bogie boards which we used one day at the beach! As others have mentioned, the beach is only a five minute walk, yet the return trip includes a short hike uphill. (We just considered this our chance to burn a few margarita calories. If you don't want to walk, there are numerous taxis stationed at the bottom of the hill.) At La Ropa Beach we enjoyed several fun happy hours, a morning beach massage ($15/hour!), and numerous beach activities (jet skiing, parasailing, etc.). We also took a short water taxi ride to Las Gatos Beach to snorkel and swim one day and spent numerous hours in the beautiful infinity pools on site. Watching the sun set over the ocean while in the pool was a nice treat. You also won't go hungry staying in this unit. There were numerous restaurants within walking distance, including our family's favorite - Il Mare (Italian/Mediterranean)! Guest Services at the complex also arranged for a local woman to cook a Mexican meal for our family one night - chicken enchiladas, shrimp tacos, rice and beans, and mango salsa. It was delicious and a fun experience...and we got to practice our Spanish. We would definitely recommend this rental. Susan was great to work with and made us feel at ease with our decision to stay outside of a large resort. Thank you for sharing your beautiful home and giving us some great memories! We can't wait to come back."

  • Awesome!!

"One of the most beautiful places I have ever been. Casa D' Arte was everything and more. Came here for a month because I just retired. The Condo was fully equipped. All I had to do was buy food. The pools were so nice and clean and the VIEW was spectacular. All the staff that work there are great and so helpful. I will be coming back that is for sure. During my stay I had to communicate with Harriet and Eliezer and they were more then helpful. The best customer service you could ever imagine. The short walk down to La Ropa beach had a number of great restaurants. You might have to take a Taxi back up the hill especially if you go to Patys for happy hour. haha All in all it was a wonderful experience."

  • Excellent Location

"Casa Ceiba is a great complex, it is walking distance to beaches, restaurants and shopping, the other condo owners were very friendly and helpful, the unit is spacious and very comfortable. We enjoyed having a full kitchen as we cooked breakfast every day, we walked everywhere, each day was a new adventure, we shopped in the local market and dined every night in a different restaurant. The locals are great, the food is so fresh and this little town is a gem. Peter and Carol are very friendly and easy to deal with. If you are considering Zihuat and would like to be within walking distance to everything this is the place to stay."

  • What a peaceful get-away!

"We really enjoyed our stay at Puesta del Sol. You can't beat the view, we spent most of our time outside on the balcony, or in the infinity pool. The furnishings are in line with traditional Mexico with tile and stucco. The bed headboard is also stucco, so be careful not to bang your head, ouch! There were plenty of birds with their happy chirping. And some kind of bird the other guests called a Mexican Chicken as they tend to wake you up in the morning. We also saw a few gecko lizards and what we hope was gecko poop in various places. We didn't use the kitchen much as this was vacation :-) But there is a smallish propane grill outside that's good for 1 steak or maybe 4 hamburgers. We went with Cowboy Rib-Eye from Mega-Commercial grocery (40 peso taxi ride). Most nights we walked down the hill to Pati's. 2x1 between 5 and 7 pm, dinner and drinks for two was about 225 peso, or I think $13 USD. You can't beat that! Also the grilled snapper was outstanding (180 pesos), it's 'whole fish' so the head and fins are still attached (not something I'm used to). You pass the taxi stand on the way back, or just work off your dinner and walk back up the hill. The driveway and parking lot are a bit bumpy for thongs. We learned to take the stairs next to the first pool, walk down the driveway to the guard, then take the stairs to the stree. We will keep this place on our list and hopefully return some day."
