  • We really enjoyed our stay at Alma De Artiste !!

"We loved our time at Alma De Artiste. From the moment we met our host Michael and arrived at the place we instantly felt welcomed and at ease. Michael did everything to make sure we were well taken care of and had everything we needed, he even arranged for a taxi to pick us up at the airport and fresh baked goods for our first morning. We loved that the place was designed such that it embraced open air living, combining and inviting the outdoors into the home. All of the furnishings, artwork and details were welcome touches that portrayed a sense of thought and beauty. We had the most amazing view to look at both day and night. Michael arranged a maid to come in every other day to change linens and clean, she was very sweet and did an amazing job. We couldn't have been happier and were pleased we could walk down the hill to the beach or get a taxi for around $3.50 US into town. I would highly recommend this place !!!! Steve & Cindy"

  • We loved it!

"This lovely little condo had everything we were looking for. It was was perfect for the two of us--clean, quiet, private and with a fully operating kitchen very functional. The view was mostly into the gardens, but we could hear the waves splashing up on the shore and the birdsong in the morning was wonderful."

  • Amazing view, amazing location, awesome hosts!

"The words from the owners, Barry and Sandra, explain it all nicely. They really have created a paradise here. "Casa Sandbar is just far enough away to feel the tranquility of isolation, but close enough to step into the vibrancy of Zihuatanejo. Two beaches are within an easy ten minute stroll. The choice in Zihuatanejo is having a great view which leaves you facing steep hills and stair climbs, or being close to the beaches. We love how accessible both La Ropa and Madera beaches are - just a 250 yard stroll. But the view is what sold us. It truly is magic." I can add that they (and their staff) have a way of making you feel special, and are truly gracious hosts. They really make an effort in making your stay a special one. And it will be if you stay here. Again, the view is amazing. I think it would be quite difficult finding a nicer one. You can spend hours watching the view at different times of the day and night and always find something interesting that catches your eye. We were able to see what I believe were small schools of fairly large mahi mahi in the shallow, clear turquoise waters just below the hotel, and in the pools created by the rock formations. As a fisherman I was tempted to try my luck. As far as location goes, we really liked the location as there are many nice restaurants within walking distance. actually, just next door on either side are a couple of really nice restaurants. and the beaches are also easy to get to. We did a lot of walking the first couple of days but after realizing how easy catching a cab is and how reasonable they are, it only makes sense to cab if going a bit farther, like downtown to shop. I don't think we were charged more than 60 pesos to go downtown where the shopping is (mercado) and you can be there in a few minutes by taxi. And the accommodations here are as others have mentioned, very clean and secure. And really tastefully decorated. Everything about the accommodations will make your trip an enjoyable one. Only regrets we have are not staying a few days longer. Next time we will though! Barry and Sandra, thxs for making our trip one to remember! Erich and Belinda"

  • Amazing Place, Amazing Location

"This is an amazing rental. The room was immaculate and we were greeted by Dulce, the concierge, and a bouquet of flowers. The view each morning of the bay from our terrace and the sunsets in the evening were breathtaking. We made lifelong friends around the pool that we will see every year in Zihuatanejo. The city had restaurants galore. With the beach, just a short walk away, more dining choices and more things to do. We have never been to Zihuatanejo, but we certainly intend to come back each year. Casa Que ve al Mar is a great place to rent for a week or months."
