"My friend and I spent a week in Zihuatanejo and stayed at Punta Punasco. It was fantastic. We thought of it as a piece of heaven. It is bright and clean and had plenty of space for two people. Because it is perched up in the heights above the beach it truly gave us a feeling of peace and awe and beauty; it is true to the photos. It has a stunning panoramic view of the whole area, so we spent quite a bit of the time sitting on the balcony or in the living room. It was also very quiet which was a big plus for us. We did a lot of things on our trip and staying at Deb's condo was a big part of our enjoyment during our vacation. Deb was great and easy to work with. Eloisa, the host/manager, was very warm and friendly. As other guests have stated one does have to be up for the climb up to the condo. We are in our 50s in pretty good shape, so it was fine for us and well worth it. It is close to everything. We walked to the beach or into town. We also took cabs and there's a bus; it's all easy. I will recommend it."

  • What a peaceful get-away!

"We really enjoyed our stay at Puesta del Sol. You can't beat the view, we spent most of our time outside on the balcony, or in the infinity pool. The furnishings are in line with traditional Mexico with tile and stucco. The bed headboard is also stucco, so be careful not to bang your head, ouch! There were plenty of birds with their happy chirping. And some kind of bird the other guests called a Mexican Chicken as they tend to wake you up in the morning. We also saw a few gecko lizards and what we hope was gecko poop in various places. We didn't use the kitchen much as this was vacation :-) But there is a smallish propane grill outside that's good for 1 steak or maybe 4 hamburgers. We went with Cowboy Rib-Eye from Mega-Commercial grocery (40 peso taxi ride). Most nights we walked down the hill to Pati's. 2x1 between 5 and 7 pm, dinner and drinks for two was about 225 peso, or I think $13 USD. You can't beat that! Also the grilled snapper was outstanding (180 pesos), it's 'whole fish' so the head and fins are still attached (not something I'm used to). You pass the taxi stand on the way back, or just work off your dinner and walk back up the hill. The driveway and parking lot are a bit bumpy for thongs. We learned to take the stairs next to the first pool, walk down the driveway to the guard, then take the stairs to the stree. We will keep this place on our list and hopefully return some day."

  • Perfect location in Zihuatanejo

"This was one of my all time favorite VRBO rentals for its price- you've found a jewel if you're reading this! If you've never been to Zihuat, La Ropa Beach is the best area to stay (best swimming and nicest beach). This unit is a five minute taxi ride from downtown for dinner, ten minute taxi ride to big grocery store, and about a ten minute (steep) walk down the hill to La Ropa Beach and the beach bars. As for the unit, the master bedroom had a perfect view and a very comfortable bed and pillows. The cold welcome beer, basket of fresh fruit, and locally ground coffee waiting for us upon arrival were such thoughtful gestures. There was even laundry soap for use. In the past, my parents stayed right next door at a much more expensive place and besides the pool area, I liked this one more. Even though there's no infinity pool, you do have an infinity couch view (don't fall out the window)! We made it to eight different beaches in six days by walking, taxi to water taxi (60 pesos) or by bus (7 pesos). The manager (via email) answered our gringo questions right away throughout the week. In summary, members of my family have stayed at VRBO units all over the Yucatan Peninsula and Pacific Coast of Mexico, and this was one of the best rentals for its price."
