  • Cerro del Vigia - Casa Cascada

"Casa Cascada is a beautiful villa, with a spectacular view! Clean and well maintained. The pool was a wonderful place spend the day! The owner occupied the 5th Bedroom "apartment" during our stay, but we would not of known he was there. It was hard to venture out from such a great place, but when we did a quick call to the front gate brought a taxi promptly. 100 pesos would get you anywhere around town. We had the fridge stocked ahead of our arrival but did very little cooking. The number of excellent places to eat, and the low cost of a meal makes cooking yourself kind of silly. Just check the info at villa for recommendations. We enjoyed La Perla as a place on La Ropa beach for drinks and a snack. We bumped into the owner there and he bought us a drink! Our ten days were not enough. We would return in a heartbeat. Although there were only two of us, the place would accommodate three or even four couples without a problem. Each bedroom having a nice view and beautiful bathroom. The sunset cruise on the Pincante was lots of fun, as was the Sunday evening locals gathering in centro by the basketball court. Join the fun and eat off the many food carts! Thank you, Arturo! Via con dios!"

  • An absolutely beautiful spot!

"It's an incredible place with a fabulous view. Thanks to the owners, Rob and Delia for their magical "nest" and for so kindly walking us through the process of the rental (first time condo renters) and taking the time to meet us over the phone prior our vacation. The condo has all you need for a great time: a good pantry, a well-stocked kitchen, clean water, laundry and bathroom supplies, linens, beach towels, and a great groundskeeper. It also has an incredible music library and CD player. The highlight of our day were the sunsets: blender drinks in hand, a dip in the pool, all while listening to the music of New Orleans. We were also grateful to Eloisa, the property manager, who provided us with some good advice and was more than accommodating if we needed anything. As others have said in previous reviews, the hike up is strenuous but worth it. But if you can't walk the hill after enjoying the beach during the day, you can also grab a cab (yes, we were sometimes that lazy) up the driveway for a mere 40 pesos. The condo is also so close to many fabulous restaurants and the beach. It's only a 15 minute walk to both downtown Zihua or the Commercial Mexicana, the big grocery store. But make sure you're adventurous and get your produce and meat in the Central Market. You can pick up other staples at the grocery store including wine, beer and spirits. Enjoy!!! We hated leaving."
