"My wife and I stayed at Jennifer's and Kevin's gorgeous penthouse for the past seven weeks. It reminded me of a beautiful hotel we once stayed at in Tangiers, Morocco. The streets outside were bustling and noisy. Once we opened the main door of our accommodation, it was like being in a quiet, luxurious, peaceful oasis. Casa Bella Mia is exactly the same. The two bedroom unit is very spacious and is set up such that each bedroom, together with a full ensuite , is independent of the other, offering more than enough privacy. Vanessa, the property manager, met us upon our arrival and showed us immediately how everything worked. There was even a welcome pack in the fridge which included beer and pretzels--how civilized is that!! The location is perfect since, again, it is very quiet, but only a ten minute walk to the exciting Centro where all the "land" restaurants are located. They are not to be confused with the "beach" restaurants, which are even closer. There is nothing lacking in both the condo and the surrounding area. A huge grocery store, laundromat , beer store and even a medical clinic are all within walking distance. Our hosts are impeccable when it comes to answering any question, no matter how trivial. We are already booked for next winter--only 305 days from now!! Thank you again , Kevin and Jennifer for allowing us the privilege of staying in your gem."

  • Million Dollar View in Zihua

"This little condo is very conveniently located overlooking Playa Madera, just a few minutes walk away from town and an amazing number of restaurants. We usually stay closer to Playa La Ropa which is still our very favorite but quite a trek away from town. It could use some updating but is very comfortable and relaxing. Great small pool and lots of nice people (owners and guests) plus the manager Carmen is just the best person in the world. It is hard to leave! For a very reasonably priced vacation we highly recommend it. Oh ... and, hard to find in Mexico, the bed is SO comfortable. Will miss falling asleep and waking up to the sound of the waves and tropical birds."

  • Perfect House!

"We stayed in Casa Allegria for a week with our two kids and my father. The house was perfect for all of us with plenty of room. Everything was very clean and tidy and well taken care of. The bedrooms were all good sizes and all had air conditioning. The pool in the back was very clean (the pool guy came several times during our stay) and the kids spent a lot of time in there. The 'deep' end is only around 5' so it was great for my father as well who doesn't know how to swim. When we arrived we were met by Silvia who for a small price can have fresh guacomole and pico de gallo waiting for you as well as cold beer for the adults and horchata for the kids. Thank you Pietro for offering this. After a long day of travelling it was so nice to have these things when we arrived. We also hired Silvia to cook for us one night and the food was delicious so we highly recommend this as well. The house is located about a 15 minute walk from downtown Zihautanejo, in an area with lots of little convenience stores and restaurants. We ate delicious tacos almost every day from the places just across the street where they make the tortillas as you order so all of the food is very fresh. Pietro arranged a day with a local captain (Luis) for us. Luis first took us fishing before ending up on a little Island across from Ixtapa (called Isla Ixtapa) on which we ate the blackfin Tuna we caught, played on the beach, and snorkeled along the reef behind the island. We loved that so much that we hired Luis for a second day of deep sea fishing where we managed to catch a sailfish that must have weighed 80lbs! Martine, the taxi driver was very helpful as well. He arranged our transportation for our excursions and our trip back to the airport. We just hailed a taxi for the trips to the beach and into town. The other taxi drivers were very friendly but they spoke very little to no English so a few words of Spanish were very helpful. We spent two full days at the beach (Playa la Ropa) where you can rent chairs/umbrellas and spend the day relaxing. This beach was great for the kids as there's no dropoff, the water is warm and the waves aren't too big. I recommend going during the week as it's less busy. Pietro was the best host, very friendly and checked in several times during our stay and was very quick to respond to any questions we had. This was the most relaxing vacation and we will be back. Thanks Pietro!"
