  • Open Concept CASA in Barra with traditional mexican decor - Safe and Clean, Econo yet lux

"Spacious open concept living areas - all bedrooms have a bathroom with a spacious tiled shower. The traditional décor really added to the destination vacation atmosphere. Very clean home with pool sleeps 6, one king with ensuite and balcony with view of water, a second bedroom on upper with own bathroom with balcony leading down to court yard and pool on main- 2 singles, and main floor bedroom has doors to courtyard/pool area with double and bathroom with shower across the hall. Furnishing are typical Mexican handicrafts (even the water dispenser.) Local grocery a very short walk away. Shopping and restaurants easily walkable downtown. The local property managers knowledgeable and friendly. I would highly recommend this casa to many friends."

  • A great choice to holiday

"We enjoyed ourselves for a truly relaxing holiday. The condo is pridefully maintained. Very clean and bright. The owners are so helpful and kind. A good location for an active or a leisure holiday. You are central to so many activities or can truly just relax here. The choice is yours. Lots of room in the condo and great for family also. Roger and Rosa are great people and make life fun. I would come back again many times ,there is so much to explore in this beautiful little town and the area around it. I definitely say it was hard to leave such a great place and people."

  • Tampico St. , Barra de the beaten path, 360 degree view of the neighborhood from 3rd

"There is a garage on the 1st fl. There are two kitchens , two bedrooms , two living spaces on 2nd, and 3rd fl. There's a great view from 3rd fl. or the roof. Hanging out on the roof to watch sunset into the sea was an activity. The house is above most in the neighborhood. The neighbors are very sweet. We found the house clean and furnished . Both kitchens were usuable with plenty of cooking gear in each. There is only one ice box. It's on the 3rd floor. It was a joy to stay there and look out over the neighborhood while preparing dinners. We cooked one or two meals a day for a couple weeks and never tired . The 3rd fl. is the gem. There are big viewing windows on the west , east and south. The furnishings made it feel comfortable. Carrie Rouse , who rented the space to us was attentive and returned our e mails immediately. A little more water pressure wouldn't hurt. Being from the midwest, the architecture here and palms gave it an exotic feel and not at all like we were in the tourist district, because we wern't. The beach is a ten minute walk an so is everything else. It is safe to walk anywhere any time of day or night and one might be astonished at how friendly this little fishing village is. Heard there were gators in the swamp at edge of town but never saw one. oh yeah.....the ac works great and the access to the roof is only a few steps and it has shade and lots of sun."

  • Perfect home away from home

"My husband and I just spent 3 weeks at Casa Sea Fever in Barra de Navidad, the first two nights in a B&B bedroom, the rest of the time in the apartment. Both were great options. Karen and Alan basically give their guests the run of the property, so we used the pool, upstairs deck, poolside deck etc. Everything was well maintained and in great working order. We felt very at home with them and in fact began to feel like a part of the Barra community. Barra itself is a wonderful little town...a healthy mixture of Mexican and expat cultures. Lots of good restaurants, friendly streets, and an overall relaxed atmosphere make it the perfect place for either a short term or long term getaway. There are lots of opportunities for day trips to other towns or beaches, either through tour companies or independently using the bus system, which is pretty good. I would recommend Casa Sea Fever to anyone wanting to spend some time in the area."
