"We actually stayed the week before Christmas, but the review system wouldn't let me put in a date later than today. Our group included myself, my two daughters in their 20s, and a family friend in her 20s. We spent a week here 2 years ago, and if anything, enjoyed it even more this time as we knew a bit more about what to see and do in the area. The condo staff are more than helpful, and can suggest things to do. They also can call a cab and will tell you in advance what everything will cost. We took a cab to Bucerias (45 minutes away) and it cost $17 one way. Everything you possibly need is in the condo (beach chairs and umbrella, blender, coffeemaker, toaster oven, water dispenser, full kitchen) but you also can pick up anything close by: there are 2 Oxxo convenience stores steps away, several liquor stores, and unlimited restaurants. There's also an ATM 3 blocks away that dispenses pesos: which is the total way to go to get the best prices but also to connect with more interesting opportunities. We found a fantastic fruit market about 5-6 blocks away with incredible fruits at such low prices: I bought 12 pounds of different citrus and other fruits for the equivalent of $3.50! We also found some of the best places to eat just off the beach: Taco Revolution and Panchos Takos. There'a also a wonderful mole place. There was a vendor a couple blocks away with the best raspberries and blackberries we have ever had. Also don't miss the Saturday morning market just south of the building in the park: they have beautiful art and incredible local coffee beans that you will want to bring back. The condo is also 3 blocks away from the best swimming beach in town, which is just by the pier. We went swimming nearly every day, and the girls loved lounging on the beach and at the pool. Our favorite day was getting a private boat off the pier for a full day out on the water. We went snorkeling, to several small beaches you can't reach by car, and then to Yelapa. The boat captain took us around town to the waterfall, out on the paths into the jungle where he pointed out wild chickens and two iguanas who were fighting up in a tree, and to a great beach restaurant. On the out, we pulled up right next to giant sea tortoises and on the way back we chased a group of 3 humpback whales! He had deep sea fishing gear too, if that's your thing. There was constant live music you could watch just off the deck of the condo, and the Malecon is always full of entertainment every evening"
