  • Great B & B that goes the extra mile

"This was our first trip to Barra de Navidad, Mexico. Paradise is so much closer than you think! A short flight into Manzanillo and our host Alan was able to meet us at the airport and drive us the short ½ hour scenic drive to the Casa located on the canals in Barra. Once we got there, our hostess, Karen had a lovely welcome snack of a traditional Mexican favorite, handcut Pico de Gallo and tortilla chips. That and a refreshing drink were exactly the way to start our stay. We were lucky enough to stay in the Canal Room which opened out to the upper Palapa and overlooks the canal. This beautifully appointed room had air conditioning available but it was not necessary as the breezes cool your room perfectly at night. It, like all the rooms each have a full bath in suite, so you never feel like you have to share more than you’d like to. We were shown the other rooms available to guests which were equally lovely and the apartment with its own full kitchen available for rent. We found that dining out in Barra is affordable, so even though we had a great cooking area in the upper Palapa, we mostly tried different local restaurants and bars. Yes, we even did sunset (time of day) at Sunset (bar), which arguably has the best margaritas in town. Mornings were delightful. Alan and Karen put out a variety of fresh fruits, granola, and yoghurt each day, along with toasted bagels and English muffins for breakfast. The most difficult part about this time of day was to decide what to do. One afternoon Alan and Karen took us out on their boat and we enjoyed the sights by water. Another afternoon, Alan took Len out in the hills to explore the areas haciendas while Karen and I took in some shopping. Then there were the days we enjoyed reading and napping by the pool. The common areas on the main floor are comfortable and really reflect the owners diverse and exciting backgrounds. I cannot forget to mention the most gracious of our hosts, Lobo the dog, Diego the cat and McIver the parrot. Our experience at Casa Seafever was restorative and relaxing, just like a newfound home away from home."

  • Awesome!

"We stayed on the top floor unit and it's amazing. Everything you need is provided and the view is to die for. You can see the whole bay, the town and the mountains. The town is delightful with a Friday market and on the last Sunday of January every year there is an artwalk that brings people in from afar. The house is located high on a hill top and has many stairs to get from the top to the pool at the bottom level so not good for someone who is not ambulatory. I have mobility issues, took it easy and enjoyed the full experience. The nights are dramatic with stars shining that you usually don't see because of ambient light. This unit has a sitting area with banquet, a terrace with comfortable seating, a huge dining table, outside kitchen with stove, oven, ref with freezer, huge bath with walk-in shower and bedroom with king bed. We loved every moment!"

  • Open Concept CASA in Barra with traditional mexican decor - Safe and Clean, Econo yet lux

"Spacious open concept living areas - all bedrooms have a bathroom with a spacious tiled shower. The traditional décor really added to the destination vacation atmosphere. Very clean home with pool sleeps 6, one king with ensuite and balcony with view of water, a second bedroom on upper with own bathroom with balcony leading down to court yard and pool on main- 2 singles, and main floor bedroom has doors to courtyard/pool area with double and bathroom with shower across the hall. Furnishing are typical Mexican handicrafts (even the water dispenser.) Local grocery a very short walk away. Shopping and restaurants easily walkable downtown. The local property managers knowledgeable and friendly. I would highly recommend this casa to many friends."
