  • Couldn't ask for a better place to stay in Melaque!

"This was mine and my boyfriend's first time visiting Melaque. Les and Ana were very welcoming, picked us up from the bus depot, and took us for a great little tour of Melaque on the way back to the condos. The place is beautiful, very modern and clean. The rooftop patio is absolutely fabulous, great views and very relaxing. The beach is just a few metres down the road and the part of the beach the unit is close to is very nice. It's just a short walk into town, there are great restaurants and bars near by, the best tacos are right across the street, and there is a little mountain walk/hike just a few minutes walk away with stunning views. There are also many other close little towns that are a cheap taxi ride or fairly quick cycle away. We would definitely stay there again!"

  • Awesome!

"We stayed on the top floor unit and it's amazing. Everything you need is provided and the view is to die for. You can see the whole bay, the town and the mountains. The town is delightful with a Friday market and on the last Sunday of January every year there is an artwalk that brings people in from afar. The house is located high on a hill top and has many stairs to get from the top to the pool at the bottom level so not good for someone who is not ambulatory. I have mobility issues, took it easy and enjoyed the full experience. The nights are dramatic with stars shining that you usually don't see because of ambient light. This unit has a sitting area with banquet, a terrace with comfortable seating, a huge dining table, outside kitchen with stove, oven, ref with freezer, huge bath with walk-in shower and bedroom with king bed. We loved every moment!"

  • just right for the price

"We had a comfortable stay with no problems. Very clean, bottled water, nice neighbors, and safe feeling. The roof deck provided a pleasant place to watch the sunset over the valley. The draw backs were that it was hard to find with the roads being unmarked and the house having no number posted on the street, and an overabundance of pesticide evidenced by the insects dying as soon as they wandered within a few feet of the house. I'm sure this helped to keep the house from being overrun with critters but is also bad for people and other animals to have this kind of exposure. The neighborhood was noisy (dogs and music) but this added to the experience in my opinion. Earplugs at night were helpful."

  • Great house!

"We loved our stay in Barra. This house was in a great location...right in town and easy to walk everywhere. We really enjoyed spending time on the patio sipping our margaritas from across the street. The house was really charming, very comfortable and clean. The kitchen was well equipped. The manager, Abel, met us on our first day and went over everything in the house, and he was available by phone if we needed anything. I would definitely recommend this house. I know we would love to stay here again!"
