  • Exceptional views and pool

"The property was as described-spacious, plenty of room for up to five to sleep and comfortable. The view was stunning and could be enjoyed from the large veranda. The pool is quite large and generally well maintained. It's warmed by solar and was always over 80 degrees. The owner responded quickly when we had a question through email and left good instructions for using the appliances and water system. There was also a gardener who came twice a week and responded whenever we had a problem. The bus stop is nearby and we did not have a car so we found it convenient to take buses and taxis into Ajijic but our favorite restaurant was very close by-Viva Mexico as was the Tuesday organic market and the quirky graveyard-all worth seeing. The kitchen is mostly well supplied with very basic dishes and other tableware. Linens and outdoor furniture were a bit shabby. The washer and dryer, internet connection, showers and stove all worked well. Overall, it is a very comfortable holiday destination and mostly quite quiet and completely secure."

  • holiday-getaway in the sun

"the weather in this part of the world could not be better. I would recommend this large, clean, modern home to everyone. we were a group of four, my wife and two grown children felt comfortable and safe, there is a restaurant just on the corner of the main drag I think its called mama's, large American style breakfast and lunch ,clean and a good value , only a three block walk.the home is located just three blocks off main road take a right to chapala or left to ajijic. minutes buy bus to either town and very inexpenseve , pool and bbq. cabana, yard ,they all very well kept by workers and maids.Dan and Lulu were so gracious and there for all our questions. can't wait to come back!!"

  • We love this little Paradise!

"The Villa we rented was just as we expected. Yes, it is a little dated but we just bought a bottle of febreeze at the Walmart and freshed up the couches. The overall experience was worth the rate paid for a 3 bedroom castle with private terraces and basically a private resort. It was very quiet during our stay in early November. Alphonse our night security who checked us in spoke excellent english as was a really friendly support during our stay. The staff at the restaurant, although speaking broken english were so accommodating and warm and friendly. I would suggest, you be prepared for limited kitchen amenities (more like camp dishes but when in Mexico go with the flow). We could walk to most areas easily. If you have a disability or need assistance, you should rent a car or a driver. The streets in the town are all cobblestone, and the villas at the resort are on different levels with stairs which was hard for our 70 year old mother. All beds are firm mattresses, if you have a bad back in Mexico, expect that as the standard for comfort. The town is beautiful, the lake is amazing and the local restaurants are so good! We averaged $35 CDN total bill for 4 people with drinks for dinners out."

  • Lovely Mexican Home

"This 2- bedroom, 3-bath house is ideally located in the village of Ajijic. Easy walking distance to everything this area has to offer, including the amazing restaurants and bars. The house is equipped with everything one would need for a short or a long stay. We were there for 4 months and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The neighbours in the privada were extremely welcoming and helpful. Comfortable beds, outside garden with water fountains made this a perfect home away from home."
