  • Girasol Sur apt 617

"I thoroughly enjoyed staying in #617; it was airy, open and comfortable, with a beautiful northwest view from the balconies day and night. I especially appreciated that the decor was restful and free of clutter, yet in the cabinets and drawers were all the glassware, dishes, cookware, linens, etc., that one might need. We were not so fond of the food at the restaurant on-site, but the snacks and drinks poolside were great and the staff there and everywhere else at the condo were very pleasant and helpful. The Girasol was a good location for us, very quiet at night, with easy access to the many attractions in Puerto Vallarta and south. We used the busses from the condo stop every day to go wherever we wished,, north or south along the coast, with no difficulty, always knowing we would return to a lovely beach and pool to relax. Besides Puerto Vallarta and the beaches, I recommend the Puerto Vallarta Zoo for getting really close and personal with lots of beautiful, healthy animals in a rather primitive rustic setting. The Vallarta Botanic Gardens has thousands of plant species on display as well as nearby hiking trails and the river for a swim. Favorite restaurants included the Hacienda in the botanic garden, Archie's Wok on Francisca Rodriguez, the Iguana Cafe in the Municipal Crafts Market and the River Cafe on Isla Rio Cuale. The detailed information sent by the owner about the condo facilities and things to see and do in the region was very useful and made the stay go even more smoothly. An added bonus was the wi-fi access, which was always there when I needed it."

  • An apartment built for relaxation with breathtaking views in a location perfect for exploring PV

"My husband and I stayed in this apartment during Christmas week 2016, and we loved this place! Cozy, quaint, and with lots of Mexican charm. The apartment is on the top floor of a small building part way up the hillside, so it had amazing, nearly panoramic views of the hillside, city, and the beautiful bay/ocean. The living room, kitchen, and terrace were open air (there were no doors that closed off the terrace) but we did not mind -- there were hardly any bugs this time of year and we loved the cool breezes coming through the apartment. We mostly hung out on the terrace because of the great views and it had plenty of seating -- I loved hanging out on the huge lounger. I can not emphasize this enough: the apartment was CLEAN. Spotless, in fact. The outdoor pool area -- which we accessed from the lower level of the apartment building -- was comfortable and clean, though it only received a few hours of full sun in the mid-afternoon. The pool was great, large enough for a swim, and was heated. There was typical city noise during the evening, accompanied by a loud tourist restaurant down the street -- but it died down around 11 p.m. There was lots of fireworks this time of year, which were great to look at, including from the tourist pirate ship that stopped directly at the view from the terrace to shoot fireworks. The Malecon boardwalk, night life, Playa Camarones beach, great restaurants, the local Ley supermarket, and taxis or the city bus -- all of these were within a few walkable blocks and made exploring PV and getting back to the airport very easy. There was a widescreen TV in the living and the bedroom which had a few English language channels and news, a radio on which we listened to a great local station, and strong WiFi for our devices (we had to restart the router to get it working when we first arrived, but it worked great the rest of our stay). Michael, one of the owners, was friendly, very responsive to our questions and needs, and he provided us great information before our trip to help make our stay easy and memorable. We would work with Michael again and we would love to use his apartment again for a future stay. A few minor things worth mentioning: there are stairs to the building on the hill and stairs up to the apartment (no elevator), so this may be problematic for visitors with mobility issues. The area may be too noisy for some. The shower had very low pressure, which was first annoying, but we got used to it (and clean)."

  • Great place, great service, great location.

"There were 10 of us staying for a total of eight nights. We had a wonderful time. The Villa is very clean and comfortable with lots of privacy. The service from the housekeeper and the groundskeeper were marvelous. We hardly ever left of the Villa. The location is walking distance to the beach and a short, inexpensive cab ride back up. The communication and preparation from the owner was superb. We would definitely return… And are actually planning on it."

  • Awesome!

"We loved our stay at Icon Vallarta!. The condo was excellent equipped with everything you need and more. The location was very good, close to big grocery store, ocean front and very close to the San Javier Hospital which we had to take our daughter to. Our experience at the Emergency Department was awesome. We walked in and it was very clean. We received excellent care and attention. We were able to get her prescriptions there as well. She was feeling much better by the next evening and it was very reasonable. We would definitely recommend the San Javier to anyone. Donna was very helpful and gave us many restaurant and activity suggestions. The pool area was very clean and well maintained. We spent many hours around the pool. The staff at Icon were very friendly and accommodating to our needs. The lunch and brunch buffets were delicious and reasonable. We would definitely stay at this condo again and highly recommend it! Loved it!!!"
