  • Beautiful Unit with Stunning Views

"We stayed in this unit for the first time from mid February to mid March 2016. We were looking for something with a Mexican feel that would be close to the fun of Old Town but far enough away to be quiet and relaxing. This unit delivered on all accounts. It is comfortably furnished with lovely Mexican touches in decor. The location was a 10 minute walk down to the Malecon and beach and an inexpensive 50.00 peso taxi ride back up. The walk back up is challenging and was done every day by our adult children who loved the exercise and challenge. I was experiencing knee issues and found the walk down no problem and even succeeded with the climb up a few times. There is nothing like a rewarding dip in the pool after the climb up. It was a great way to keep active. The views are stunning and we couldn't believe our fortune every morning when opening our eyes to see the vista provided. We spent all our waking time in the unit on the terrace which is spacious and comfortably furnished. We prepared many meals in the well stocked kitchen and truly appreciated the supply of dry goods and spices left in the unit. It helped to reduce food costs not to have to completely set up those types of supplies for cooking. The only draw back with the building and unit is the lack of sun. Upon arrival in mid-Feb the pool was completely shaded and as the time progressed, by the middle of March, the pool was in more sun. The best time of day was mornings for sunbathing at the pool. The terrace at the unit was always shaded. This may be an issue for sun worshippers, however we preferred a shade terrace as it was more comfortable in the heat of the day. We found the pool temperature to be quite warm and was very comfortable to be in without the direct sun. Overall the limited sunlight was not a negative for us but might be a disappointment for some. We enjoyed the various birds and parrots which live and play in the green space across from the unit. The managers and owner were always available by phone and email and very responsive. Overall we found it to be a great location in PV and really enjoyed the spaciousness of the unit itself. We did not hesitate to book our return for 2017."

  • Muy Especial!!

"We had such an amazing week at Casa Linda! I have stayed at another Villa on Hortensias in the past which was nice but I never expected what Casa Linda, a condo, could offer. It is high in the hills which I love as this units bedrooms make you feel like your high in the jungle. This location works also in order to burn off those calories from flan and taxis from downtown are $2.50 for 4 people! I went with family and my 11 yr. old son. Of course the decor was special down to the details. I found myself in charge of “the lighting” each evening. Since unit was costume renovated they had thought of how lighting effected every area of the unit. Additionally, while more or less every vacation rental I have stayed at supplies the basics in their kitchen, Casa Linda has everything a gourmet chef needs to prepare a meal (if you want to cook!) down to spices, Mexican pottery dishes, chef knifes and a good expresso/latte machine. Case Linda also has robes and house slippers in each bedroom for guest to wear (note pics and my sister and sitting in the morning enjoying our view of Bandaras Bay). It was also a treat to have Ava come every other day to clean the unit. More like hotel service. Casa Linda is one of two ground units in La Cina One which is the closest to town of three condo units in this area and the smallest building of the three. Many of the other owners where there when we were visiting for an annual meeting and we felt very welcome as vacation renters including my child. Casa Linda also stocks beach towels, sand and pool toys, some basic medical supplies, beach hats and shopping bags and an assortment of Latin CDs to set the mood! While the pool looks small and narrow in the pictures it actually is a lap pool. OK, the wall to wall sliding doors! I also made use of these amazing features each morning which opens the front of the unit to paradise! Very good landscaping still makes this unit feel private even though it is on the ground. I would agree with another review that the gate to the pool, 4 steps away , makes this feel like the pool is yours! While we were there we found out the pool’s heat was higher than normal which I loved but they do keep it around 90 degrees which in some months are nice to have even with all the sun. Whether you want to hide in one of the three amazing air-condition bedrooms or read on the couch or rocking chairs overlooking beautiful Puerto Vallarta Casa Linda is a Muy Especial to be."

  • Great August Stay!

"We stayed for 10 days and couldn't have asked for a nicer place to stay. The condo was immaculate, the view was spectacular, the front desk staff and our maid were so nice and friendly! You couldn't ask for a better location, coffee, numerous restaurants, a small tienda, OXXO, and a pharmacy all within a block or so. A taxi isn't really needed, we only used a taxi for the airport and one night when it was raining. The malecon is just a few steps from the condo. We had planned a few things but ended sitting on the patio/deck a lot of the time. The bed was comfy, and the shower was great! We would stay here again, and again, and again!!!"

  • Perfect choice

"Our first visit to PV and I'm on crutches!....David's condo was the ideal location for us. Lots of restaurants/bars close by (thanks for your suggestions David..all very accurate); grocery store and taxi rank across the street; spectacular view of the beautiful beach and a condo exactly as depicted with every comfort of home...very clean, a huge comfy bed, quality linen, well equipped kitchen, comfy chairs/couch and excellent wifi. The staff were all very helpful and friendly and we felt very secure...we particularly loved being able to leave the balcony doors wide open at night to enjoy the sea breeze and sound of the ocean. David responded very promptly to any emails and we actually met him as we checked in....always nice to put a face to a contact. We have already recommended to family and friends and would definitely stay here again when PV beckons us."
