  • Spring Break for Grandchildren

"My wife and I took our two daughters, one son in law and four grandchildren (total 9) to this condo for the children's spring break. We are from Canada and my wife and I have visited Mexico numerous times. The condo was just as advertised and met our every expectation. Paloma, one of the concierges, who looks after the property met us when we arrived and helped us several times during our stay. The kitchen is well stocked for cooking and eating in and we walked to nearby restaurants about half the time. The pools were great and each one is heated to a different temperature depending on what you feel like that day. Food from the restaurant on site was good and a nice treat on lazy afternoons. I hope the owners will continue to encourage the cleaning staff to leave unopened, unused items left by departing guests for the use by the new arriving guests. This helped us with some basics and some of the spices that were used for cooking. We left unopened liquor and such when we departed and hoped the new guests would see it as a welcoming gift. Especially the wine. Our children's spring break coincided with the Easter week in Mexico and the beach out front of the resort was busy, especially on the weekend. A lot of hustle and bustle with some noisy times if you were on the beach. We enjoyed the kiosks set up by the locals on the beach and the kids liked a lot of the activities. Some noise at night but if you turn on the fans in the bedrooms they acted well as white noise to help you fall asleep. Even the restaurant beside us who had bands seemed to close it's doors early for some reason. All in all, I would recommend this property to others. Lots of room and close to all the amenities."

  • Wonderful Vacation Home

"We have been vacationing in Puerto Vallarta for many years and this was our first experience with staying in a condo. It was perfect! It is very nicely decorated. Both bedrooms are large. Having two separate bathrooms was also a nice feature. Probably our favorite area in the condo was the balcony! Being out there in the morning with a cup of coffee as the Malecon was just "waking up" was very special. The sunsets were absolutely spectacular! The daily maid service is a very nice feature and "Cuca" was a real gem! Since we are big fans of Old Town, the location was perfect for us. However, it was no inconvenience to walk anywhere else we chose to go. Bus stops are not far at all and taxis were always readily available when needed. Another great feature of this property is the secure entrance. There is a locked gate and someone at the desk at all times to buzz you in . With so much to see and do, unfortunately we didn't have much time to enjoy the rooftop pool. Guess we'll just have to go back and stay longer next time!"

  • Great views and true Mexican architecture, but........

"We just returned from our stay at Villa Dos Angeles. Our family has been to PV many times but this was our first experience staying in a non-resort setting. While we had a GREAT vacation, there are a couple of things you should know prior to choosing this home. 1). The villa is located on the top of a hill. If you don't walk well, have knee problems, etc., don't choose this villa. If you walk in and out, there are a ton of stairs and cobblestone hills to go up. It is easier to climb up the steps from the bottom instead of going all of the way to the top and then down. 2). This Villa is not sealed up. If you don't like bugs, don't rent it. There are no-see-ums (vicious, biting almost invisible) all over the villa and the four of us were eaten up in our sleep. While we have encountered these before, mainly on the beach, we were not accustomed to having to wear bug repellent to bed at night! After waking up covered in red, itchy welts, we noticed that these bugs are everywhere. On the walls, the floors, the furniture, you name it. If you have small children, be aware that these bites are horrible and take weeks to go away. 3). There is a huge binder in the Villa that gives restaurant tips, etc. Some of it doesn't look to have been updated for quite sometime. One of the things that was sort of a bummer was that we were told that the beach at Garza Blanca had a poolside restaurant/bar that you could access while enjoying the beach. We grabbed towels, boogie boards and our wallet, only to find that the poolside restaurant is not available to anyone not staying at the resort. You can't even get a bottle of water! We did go back to the beach, however, hauling a cooler and everything else made it quite the production. Better to take a cab to town and enjoy one of the "beach clubs" at a local restaurant. We really enjoyed the freedom that staying in the Villa provided. We truly enjoyed trying many of the local restaurants and the ability to cook for ourselves as well."
