  • Perfect Vacation!

"It was exactly the perfect vacation, the home is in the hills with million dollar villas all around it. The one across the street we were told was once owned by Rod Stewart. The property is very well kept and very lush. The view is exactly as the picture shows. Both homes were very clean. We ate out on the balcony for dinner a couple of times. (AWESOME) The full time gardener was around but never in the way and the maid was so sweet. She was even doing laundry for a couple of the guys and they didn't even ask her too. Thank you. And thank you for ALWAYS getting back to us within hours on any questions we had."

  • Calling it Villa Romantica is an understatement

"our enjoyment of Villa Romantica started months before we arrived. Karen McGrath, the owner and property manager, answered every question and provided extremely helpful information about the villa specifically and Puerto Vallarta in general. When we arrived everything was as described. In fact it was better than described. From the heated pool to the King size master bedroom the place was all anyone could ask for. We've been using villas around the Carribean for over 20 years and this was far and away our best experience. Although there was just my wife and I this villa would be perfect for 2 couples. The bedrooms are on different floors allowing for privacy and the villa is so large you don't have to be in each other's way if you chose not to. Many cozy sitting areas inside and out. The hot tub was a great touch but you do have to plan ahead as it takes a few hours to come up to temperature and the timer goes off every 1/2 hour. (Great when that's your biggest problem). The heated pool is glorious. The thoughtful touches that Karen provides, very appreciated. The kitchen, very well equipped. We had a question when we arrived and Karen answered within minutes. You're 7kms - 4 miles from downtown (the southern end of the Malecon) and access to dozens of restaurants. The view, the birds, the floral bonanza, all amazing. We had a car and I drove down every morning and walked the Malecon end to end (5kms - 3mile round trip). I cannot thank Karen enough for her help and for sharing her beautiful home. We will be back for years to come - so stay away from my dates."

  • Absolutely stunning!

"This place is perfect for a relaxing getaway.. Everything was perfect from the time we were picked up at the airport till we left. The condo is 2 bedroom that is impeccably decorated. There is AC throughout the views are spectacular. It is a short walk to the main area or a 5 dollar cab ride. We had them do some shopping for us in advance that made the trip even nicer. The maid service was perfect.. We have said at his other properties before and have never been disappointed.."

  • Great views and true Mexican architecture, but........

"We just returned from our stay at Villa Dos Angeles. Our family has been to PV many times but this was our first experience staying in a non-resort setting. While we had a GREAT vacation, there are a couple of things you should know prior to choosing this home. 1). The villa is located on the top of a hill. If you don't walk well, have knee problems, etc., don't choose this villa. If you walk in and out, there are a ton of stairs and cobblestone hills to go up. It is easier to climb up the steps from the bottom instead of going all of the way to the top and then down. 2). This Villa is not sealed up. If you don't like bugs, don't rent it. There are no-see-ums (vicious, biting almost invisible) all over the villa and the four of us were eaten up in our sleep. While we have encountered these before, mainly on the beach, we were not accustomed to having to wear bug repellent to bed at night! After waking up covered in red, itchy welts, we noticed that these bugs are everywhere. On the walls, the floors, the furniture, you name it. If you have small children, be aware that these bites are horrible and take weeks to go away. 3). There is a huge binder in the Villa that gives restaurant tips, etc. Some of it doesn't look to have been updated for quite sometime. One of the things that was sort of a bummer was that we were told that the beach at Garza Blanca had a poolside restaurant/bar that you could access while enjoying the beach. We grabbed towels, boogie boards and our wallet, only to find that the poolside restaurant is not available to anyone not staying at the resort. You can't even get a bottle of water! We did go back to the beach, however, hauling a cooler and everything else made it quite the production. Better to take a cab to town and enjoy one of the "beach clubs" at a local restaurant. We really enjoyed the freedom that staying in the Villa provided. We truly enjoyed trying many of the local restaurants and the ability to cook for ourselves as well."
