  • Stay in the Lap of Luxury

"This is our second time staying at Casa Caleta and we will definitely be back again. The location is perfect. Just a short cab ride into downtown, or if you want, you can walk the coastline in. The house boasts sizable rooms with gorgeous views of the pool/beach and tons of privacy. Most of our time was spent in the beautiful infinity pool and hot tub that overlook the semiprivate beach below. The staff is amazing. Jonathan the chef was insane. I'm a huge foodie and wanted to try a couple restaurants around town; no need. He provided some of the best food we've ever had, and this is coming from people that have traveled the world. Hands down awesome food. Paco is the mixologist and once again killed it with his concoctions. Don't drink alcohol? Don't worry, he will create non-alcoholic drinks that are unbelievable creative and yummy too. The pair of Jonathan and Paco truly made this visit to Casa Caleta an experience to never forget. I have to also give a shout out to Ana and Roberto as they not only kept the house and grounds looking great, they went out of their way to arrange a romantic suite for a newly engaged couple in our group (flower petals on the bed, and towels folded into kissing swans). The staff here truly made this experience unforgettable and is definitely one of the main reasons we will be coming back"

  • Lovely Condo

"Great views and good location. Comfortable condo which had a well- equipped kitchen. Grill on site was perfect for us and pool nicely heated for kids to play."

  • El Paso -Houston Family

"For Christmas we gave our parents, children and husbands this as a gift. Ages ranged from 30 to 86. We had an absolutely fabulous time. The staff is wonderful and we couldn't have asked for anything more. The sunsets and daily viewing from every room can't even be bought, it is truly priceless. I even saw a whale one morning while gazing out the balcony. The steps are a challenge but putting the elderly grandparents closest to the main dining area was just perfect."

  • New Favorite!

"If you are up for a little adventure arriving and departing from Los Chonchos, then this is an amazing place to stay. On days when the water is too rough for the water taxi to make a beach landing, you will have to go to the little village of Chimo, about a 40 min. hike away, or you can hire a mule to carry your things if it is too much to hike with. Met lots of nice folks at Los Chonchos, and La Palapa Tranquila is a beautiful space, with amazing views and everything you need! We enjoyed the hike to Chimo (tiny fishing village), and relaxing on the spacious deck of the palapa was always the perfect end to the day! We only had one meal at the "restaurant" but it was wonderful! (Plan ahead if you want to eat there, they need at least a day's notice to be ready for you). Next time, we hope the water is calm enough to take the sea kayak out. The beaches are beautiful and never crowded - there are only about 24 palapas total at Los Chonchos, so never too many folks around. If you want a relaxing, peaceful getaway where you can truly practice the art of doing nothing (but with plenty to do if you choose), this is the perfect spot! Chuck and Yvonne were always very responsive and gave fast replies to any inquiries."
