  • Fiesta. Siesta. Tequila. Repeat.

"12 of us girls stayed at Casa Pena del mar for Memorial Day weekend and it was nothing short of perfect! Elena took care of anything you could possibly need. She coordinated cab rides to go downtown, booked people to come to the house to do massages and even made a last minute alcohol run when the reserve got low ;) The house could not have been better. Each room had ample space and an incredible view. There were 12 of us but we could have even had a couple more join comfortable. The food was delicious. We were spoiled with all of the fresh, home cooked food and some of the best guacamole I've had. No need to lift a finger to clean, somehow all the messes we made magically disappeared. It truly was one of the most fun and relaxing trips any of us have been on. Highly recommend!!!"

  • Villa Gaeta

"We celebrated our 50th Wedding Anniversary with family and friends at Villa Gaeta in May 2016. It was the perfect setting. The Villa is beautiful and very well maintained. The staff was incredible and met our every need. The view from the villa is perfect. We spend every day in the pool and enjoying the view. Our renewal ceremony was poolside and was beautiful. Doria made us several delicious meals and Tony and Lalo were very helpful. We highly recommend Villa Gaeta for anyone looking for a unique experience in Puerto Vallarta. The rooms are beautiful and very clean and the open air downstairs living area is perfect for partying and enjoying the sun. The location is great with the town easily accessible. Thank you so much Mary for all your help and making us feel very special. We hope to be back soon."

  • Relaxing vacation

"Myself, my husband & another couple stayed for a week. We appreciated the suites so both couples could enjoy ample space and some privacy. When we arrived, the kitchen faucet was broke. Tavo was working on it; it was repaired by Sunday. Other than that, the property was great and in proper working order. Tavo and Claudia checked in on us almost daily. They were very nice and welcoming. We appreciated the beach towels, beach chairs and umbrella provided. We would typically sit on the beach until 2 and then hit the pool. The beach is very nice and swimmable. We felt safe at the property and in Puerto Vallarta. We spent most of our time in the Romantic Zone and took taxis. We made friends with a couple of taxi drivers. They gave us their cards and we were able to call them directly when we needed a ride. Claudia cooked for us one night. She prepared shrimp fajitas, rice, salsa, beans and flan. It was all very delicious!! We planned it on a night we had a daytime excursion; it was nice to come home and have dinner ready. The only excursion we took was to Boca de Tomatlan to catch a water taxi. Tavo set it up for us. The water taxi took us to a place to hike (or you can rent a horse) to a waterfall. There is a restaurant at the waterfall. After touring the coastline and seeing fish and lots of jellyfish, we visited another beach and ate. Beware of raicilla, a moonshine-like alcohol. It tastes good and can sneak up on you! We ate dinner at La Palapa, Vista Grill (make a reservation for a table at sunset; I thought it was the best food), Mariscos Cuetos Seafood (ate here twice because it was so good), Hacienda San Angel (the food was good, but pricey; make a reservation; great view), and La Piazzetta. Our favorite breakfast spot was Cafe de Olla. We ate at The Pancake House; it was good. We visited Andales a couple of nights for drinks after dinner and that was a lot of fun. It seems like an American bar in Mexico. Tavo and the taxi drivers were helpful in picking a place to eat and the property owner (Mary) emailed me a list of places ahead of time. Mary was very helpful and responsive to my questions prior to the trip. She also called to check on us after we arrived. I highly recommend this property. Although it is a bit out of town, which we liked, it is very peaceful and relaxing. It is easy to catch a taxi to go into town if you want more action. Thank you Mary, Tavo & Claudia for helping us have a wonderful vacation!"
