  • Perfect setup for two people.

"Brad was overly helpful when I got sick even offering to drive me to the hospital. He was ever present and quickly addressed any issues that came up. It was an easy walk to the beach and to town. Road noise was very loud as the room is adjacent to a busy road. If you want complete quiet you won't get that here. Saying this we did get sensitized to the road noise after a few days and it was tolerable."

  • No better view!

"This property was somewhat far from town (I thought), mainly because of the steepness of it's location. On the way to the property I thought to myself, "this seems pretty far from everything, but after a couple of days, it was a perfect walk into town. The property was gorgeous and looked exactly like the pictures. The weather was warm and I knew A/C was needed, but not really. There was a water cooler A/C in the main room but it wasn't needed as the ocean breeze cooled it off when you opened the French doors in both the living area and main bedroom. As I opened the French Doors, I could feel this huge burst of fresh air come through, but what was totally amazing was the view to the bay. I had never seen anything like it. This is when I knew it was all worth it. By the way, I stayed 16 days and enjoyed every minute of it. It was like my own home complete, with pool, beautiful recreation room, laundry room area, etc. I would definitely recommend this place for anyone, short term or long term. After a couple of days, I started to walk to town each morning, which became fun to do actually. I felt like one of the locals there, which is a good thing. Derrick Dallas, TX."

  • Gorgeous, roomy what views!

"Five of us stayed here for a week. Two couples shared two bedrooms and the fifth person had the third bedroom. It was roomy, secure, well-equipped, and gorgeous. We especially loved the 2 showers with views of the shore, water, and Los Arcos. All the restaurants in the area were very good. Tony's and Le Klif were especially wonderful. We took a day trip to the Botanical Gardens and to the town of El Tuito, where I particularly enjoyed tasting and purchasing some raicilla. A wonderful time was had by all!"

  • Perfect for us....away from the hubbub

"Stayed twenty two nights and loved it!!! We shared the roomy condo with our four grown children part of the time and then another couple joined us for the remainder of the time. By the end we felt like we owned the place. It had come to feel like home. The condo is fully stocked with all the things you might expect and then some. The view is outstanding. The ocean front windows span the entire length of the condo. The décor is Old Mexico style which we loved. We were so impressed with the Playas Gemelas grounds and personnel. The common areas are kept up meticulously, the pools and beach are just beautiful. We had only a couple vendors approach us on the beach and were happy to give one of them our business. We enjoyed sipping six fresh coconuts after watching him cut the top off and put a straw in. After we were done consuming the delicious juice he offered to slice the coconut open and carve out the coconut meat and put it in a ziplock for us. We used it in the smoothies that we made most mornings. We loved how quiet the other tenants were. Everyone seemed very respectful and considerate. The majority of the guests were seniors but we saw some younger families, too. You will hear the surf from the condo ... but that added to the experience for me. If you are a very light sleeper I would recommend bringing ear plugs along. From our balcony we could see many whales. We were lucky enough to see many of them breeching, which was just thrilling. The setting for Playas Gemelas reminded us so much of Kaanapali, Maui. With the beautiful vegetation, rocky outcroppings bordering the property and mountains behind. We highly recommend The Palapa restaurant just a short walk on the beach south of the condo. They have live music Monday and Friday evenings which was lovely. The dining highlight for us was Ocean Grill, though. We loved it so much we went on three different occasions. We took the bus 15 min south to a quaint/old fishing village called Boca de Tomatlan. There you board a small skiff that takes you to the restaurant only accessible by water or hiking. Prices are very reasonable and the food is delicious. Best margarita I've had. Make sure to book early (online) as there is limited seating and the reservation choices are 11, 1 and 3 oclock. Last but not least...Cheryl Lee was awesome to deal with. I appreciated how quick she was to respond to my many queries. I'm a bit anal about planning and details. We will be back."
