  • Little Bit of Heaven

"I traveled with my daughter, son-n-law, 2 year old grandson and 6 year old granddaughter could not wait to return to Puerto Vallarta Mexico. The last two years we stayed at the most incredible condo on the beach. This 2,000 sq ft. condo with its breathtaking view is perfect in every way for our family of 5. The Great-room is enormous and joins the dining room and gourmet kitchen. The bedrooms are on opposite sides of the condo. Everything was supplied to cook to our hearts content, but the marvelous Mexican restaurants were once again calling our names. We ate breakfast, lunch and dinner out. Where else can you get shrimp & Mahi Mahi on a stick and sit with your toes in the sand? We tried every restaurant our host suggested and searched out a few on our own! I’m convinced there is not a bad restaurant in all of Old Town and where else can you feed a family for 5 under $25 and have a “to go” bag? Shopping, entertainment and restaurants are all within walking distance (even with two little kids). If you do take a taxi it’s only $3 or $4. Having small children with us it was nice to have the security gate at the street & poolside. The pool has a very shallow area which was great for small children. This place has everything you could possibly need and much more: filtered water/ice system, washer, dryer, stove, refrigerator, dishwasher, fully equipped kitchen, wine cooler, 2 safes, 2 master bedrooms and baths, coffeemaker, tons of towels, landline phone, private heated pool, unlimited free outgoing calls to Canada, USA and many European countries, over 200 channels of cable, huge wrap around balcony, high speed Internet, incredible panoramic view of Bandera Bay from the 4th floor, immaculate building, elevator, dolphins watching from the balcony, immediate access to the beach through a locked gate and NO bugs. Daiquiri Dicks and the Blue Shrimp restaurants just steps away, bank ATM in the building, coffee shop on the ground floor, immediate access to the Malecon walk way. We felt so secure that we left the front door wide open and let the ocean air flow throughout the condo. It’s July and we experienced no rain during the day and a constant breeze from the ocean. Two sides of the condo are sliding glass doors, which has fabulous cross ventilation. At night we enjoyed sitting on the balcony and watching the stunning sunsets. One of the reasons we felt so comfortable because our host always gives us such useful information about shopping, restaurant"

  • Beautiful, clean, well located.

"Overall our experience in Puerto Vallarta was made more enjoyable from our stay at Ken's. Our coming and going were well accommodated, the entire place was incredibly clean and well stocked (with dishes, a clean water system, and towels - no shampoo and not many pantry staples), and we loved the location near so many restaurants, a few blocks from the beach, and in the "real" part of the city, rather than resort-centered. There's also a friendly front-desk security man (Hi Oscar!) which helps the building feel super safe. The roof top pool is just as beautiful as the pictures show. My only complaint is that the bed was overly firm (for us - we prefer something in the middle of the bed spectrum), so my fiance' and I both woke up a bit sore neck/back every morning."

  • Nice Place at the Marina

"The condo is well appointed and conveniently located within a short walking distance to shops, restaurants and the Marina. The condo was unexpectedly large for being a one bedroom. My wife, my two kids and myself fit there nicely and didn't feel crowded. The terrace was spacious. Loved to have my meals there. There was a grill there that we wanted to use but it had no gas although we were told that it had. Internet was spotty and was barely good enough for smart phones but not the laptop, images wouldn't download and lagged considerably. There were two TVs, there is a satellite box which we thought it worked but, after looking at closely, it was not connected. The TVs were smart TVs so if you have a NETFLIX account you could watch some movies there. I don't believe it had cable although my 10 year old boy was able to watch some Nickelodeon shows but in Spanish if it did, I couldn't find CNN. Getting hot water was tricking on the first day, ended up taking a cold shower, it wasn't until later that I was able to figure out that you must let the water run for awhile for the water to come hot but, once it did, it came scalding hot so be careful. There are some pots and pans but they had no lids and plenty of kitchen utensils. The only bedroom had plenty of closet space, shelves and a dresser with another TV on top. The king sized bed was a tad bit too hard for my taste but bearable. There is a washer and a dryer which was a hit to have available and worked perfectly make sure that you get your own laundry detergent, the same for dish washing liquid or dishwasher detergent if you plan to use the dish washing machine. There were plenty of towels and beach towels which we used although we also brought our own. I was not able to get the ceiling fan in the bedroom to work for me. Ditto on Deb's review regarding the grounds but the pool was murky and needed better filtering. Overall, it was a good experience with minor annoyances like poor internet access, the non working fan in the bedroom (or me now knowing hot to turn it on), no lids for the pots and pans, and not being able to figure out whether it had cable TV or not. However, the pluses outweighed the negatives. I will rent again if it was available next December but it is not."

  • All the comforts of home & more!

"My family and I spent a week at the Grand Venetian. Wow!!! The condo has all of the comforts of home: comfy bed, full bathrooms, full kitchen, dining room and the most spectacular view from the terrace. We started our mornings over coffee on the terrace looking at the beach and hearing the ocean. Marcos the property manager was friendly and provided tips for local dining. Mr. Colker has paid attention to every detail in his condo. Plus, he answered every question and provided a PDF document with lots of information. I've used VRBO in the past and Mr. Colker's condo is by far the best! The Grand Venetian has several large pools, pergolas, billiards room and gym. Simply, the BEST! Do yourself a favor and experience this wonderful condo. Your family will love you for it."
