  • Great home, location, owners and staff

"We stayed at Villa Nicte for 5 days May 3rd thru 7th 2016. I've been visiting Puerto Vallarta since 1972 and have now found my new place to stay each time. Located just 2 blocks from the Malecon and resting oceanfront right on the beach this 3 story villa with a bedroom and on suite on each floor leaves plenty of space for privacy when you want it. The living room is comfortable with a view of the ocean and the view from the kitchen sink is the same. The private dipping pool is larger than what I anticipated from having seen the pictures. There are restaurants within a 2-3 minute walk and the large supermarket is only 2 blocks away. I thought I might have a hard time sleeping anticipating a thumping bass sound from the nightlife, but all I heard was the waves breaking on the beach. Marta arrives each day to clean and share her upbeat personality. She cooked a birthday meal for my friend by buying a 6.5lb red snapper at the market to go along with salad, veggies, etc.. She is a treasure. She speaks English well but allowed me to practice my Spanish most often. The owners John and Mark take away any anxiety one might have in setting up the rental, including having someone waiting at the airport to take you to their villa. My opinion is you can't find a better location in Puerto Vallarta as you won't need to take a bus or cab unless you're going on an activity. Thanks John and Mark for your hospitality and taking care of all the little things that make such a big difference in enjoying a vacation. Bob McVey"

  • Spacious condo

"My husband and I stayed in this beautifully furnished condo for two months. We loved it. The weather was perfect as well. It is so close to everything in the old town you do not need a car. It was cleaned every week by Betty who was very good."

  • Perfect Villa in Sunny Mexico!

"A friend group of 5 moms and their 5 high school senior daughters spend 5 nights at this amazing home in January 2016. Everything was perfecto - from the impeccably furnished three-story house, to the delicious and freshly prepared meals, to the made-to-order drinks all day/night long, to the beautiful landscaping and beach, and most of all - to the outstanding staff that made our stay wonderful. We will definitely return, and our daughters are planning many reunions at Playasola."

  • Great location, great value!

"What a wonderful property for so many different reasons! Among the highlights..... 1) Layout - the condo is on the second floor of a 6 floor building. It is spacious, nicely decorated, and has the amenities that make a good vacation great (e.g., washer / dryer, full kitchen, water-cooler size jug of drinking water, etc.). There are lots of beach towels provided, so one less bulky thing to pack or buy. The TV is small and does have cable, although it's mostly Mexican cable channels. The wireless Internet works well, but note that the range is limited and works best in the living room / dining room / kitchen areas. There are also two wired phones provided for free calls - one for calls within Mexico, and a Vonage phone for calls to the US. Both were of great use to us when making extended calls to airlines to change travel arrangements. 2) Location - the condo building is accessible via a wide alley off a somewhat busy street. It is completely safe, and being off the main street means far less traffic noise. There is a security gate to access the stairwell, so random people cannot get into the building easily. Los Muertos beach is less than a 5-minute walk away. There are 3 small convenience stores on 3 successive street corners walking North on the main street - any of them will have what you are looking for (although I recommend the Oxxo on the 3rd corner). There are numerous restaurants along the beach and elsewhere in the Romantic Zone. The Rio Cuale shopping area is a 5 minute taxi ride or 15 minute walk at a normal pace. 3) Other Benefits - on the roof of the building, there is a small but nice pool along with several lounge chairs. There are good views of the bay, and it's a great place to get some sun without the sand. There is also a bar (unstocked) with bar stools, and a bathroom. Take a look around in the condo, especially in the cabinets, etc., before buying anything...the pantry in the kitchen has lots of sunscreen and some basic medial items, as well as some games (Uno, Chess, Backgammon, etc.). In the bathrooms, you will find shower gel and shampoo, hand soap, etc. Lastly, but certainly not least, the building manager Guillermo (Memo for short) is available 24x7 for any issues or questions. He is one of the nicest people around, and takes the time to make sure everything is right. His wife is also the housekeeper and does a fabulous job. In short, you will have a hard time finding a better value for your money!"
