  • Best... Vacation... Ever!!!

"This was my first time to Los Chonchos and Casa Blanca. Let me summarize- It was perfect. Best, most relaxing vacation I've ever been on. Easy to arrange, better than expected. I will be here again soon! We booked through Homeaway.com - super simple, everything was made clear on the listing, and through the booking process. Once we confirmed the booking, Debbie provided everything we needed to prepare for our trip- even going above and beyond to help secure an amazing taxi driver and special water taxi ride to help with our poorly timed plane arrival. We had all of Debbie's contact details for emergencies and were well prepared for our trip prior to departure. Jesus, the taxi driver, was Awesome- super friendly, and helpful. Our water taxi ride was pleasant and provided Beautiful views. Getting off the boat, on the beach, wasn't exactly difficult, but it took strength and coordination. There was a crew to help us bring up our luggage. (we packed WAYY too much, even though Debbie warned not to; we will do better next time!) The palapa is FANTASTIC... let me say that one more time for effect... FANTASTIC!! The view is breathtaking- There aren't words enough to describe it. This place is so close to the ocean you can feel the waves crashing against the rocks. Probably the most romantic and mesmerizing view I've personally experienced. The place itself is rustic, but well maintained. The kitchen had everything we needed, plus a good fridge and hot propane burners. We had more than enough power for our needs (2 smartphones) and we had phone/text signal from the balcony (AT&T & T-Mobile) There are paths to 10 or more other palapas near Casa Blanca- I think Casa Blanca might have the best view though... Paths to a city (we didn't visit this trip) and paths to a beautiful/secluded beach. Hours and hours with no other people! Actually, we only saw 1 couple at meal times, and a few workers... and a few other couples when we arrived and left- other than that, we were alone. Meal time... You won't regret it. The cook at the main palapa was Amazing. The food was so fresh, and so delicious. They deliver too!!! Bring pesos... the meals aren't huge, but they are filling- always nap worthy! A part of me wants to say bad things because I want this place to be my secret garden, but honestly- I have told many friends about Casa Blanca, and will be booking for another trip before this year is over... I really can't recommend Casa Blanca enough. Book it before I do!!"

  • Stay in the Lap of Luxury

"This is our second time staying at Casa Caleta and we will definitely be back again. The location is perfect. Just a short cab ride into downtown, or if you want, you can walk the coastline in. The house boasts sizable rooms with gorgeous views of the pool/beach and tons of privacy. Most of our time was spent in the beautiful infinity pool and hot tub that overlook the semiprivate beach below. The staff is amazing. Jonathan the chef was insane. I'm a huge foodie and wanted to try a couple restaurants around town; no need. He provided some of the best food we've ever had, and this is coming from people that have traveled the world. Hands down awesome food. Paco is the mixologist and once again killed it with his concoctions. Don't drink alcohol? Don't worry, he will create non-alcoholic drinks that are unbelievable creative and yummy too. The pair of Jonathan and Paco truly made this visit to Casa Caleta an experience to never forget. I have to also give a shout out to Ana and Roberto as they not only kept the house and grounds looking great, they went out of their way to arrange a romantic suite for a newly engaged couple in our group (flower petals on the bed, and towels folded into kissing swans). The staff here truly made this experience unforgettable and is definitely one of the main reasons we will be coming back"

  • THE VIEW IS 5 STARS

"As others have mentioned the view in this condo is quite spectacular and we enjoyed it day and night. The older building is relatively small, but has been very well maintained. The unit is supplied with good linens and is tastefully decorated. The well equipped kitchen is tight but David has made the most of the space available supplying high end pots, cutlery, glasses and dishes. We loved that the living room window opened wide and offered lovely breezes to flow through keeping us cool. The ensuite bathroom has been recently upgraded and the water pressure was good with plenty of hot water. High quality quiet overhead fans throughout the suite made sleeping comfortable in the bedroom. The 156 stairs to the condo from the lane are within the locked gates of the property and shared with the neighbouring complex. They are lit and we did not hesitate to take them day and night. They weren't our favourite thing, however, afforded a 5 minute access to Old Town and we were in better shape for them. David is the best host you could hope for. He sends you a very helpful info sheet on the condo with the keys. He responded promptly to our questions prior to our trip and when we were at the condo. There were a couple of minor issues we brought to his attention just for his information and he had someone at our door within a couple of hours to repair, very impressive. Thank you David for a memorable stay."

  • Short vacation near the PV Marina

"The property was great for the two of us. Condo was clean and the overall facility was beautiful. Great view. Walking distance to several of our favorite marina restaurants and buses and taxis provided access to restaurants and entertainment outside the marina area. The gym was well maintained and provided proper equipment. Easy bus access to central downtown (boardwalk) and old downtown (Olas Altas). Not a hotel or time share which we appreciated as a change to our usual visits. Good market nearby and bank for exchange. Fabulous garden and swimming pool -- took advantage of the pool every afternoon. Must have been 20 gardeners working the property. The property manager (Fernando) was very professional and helpful providing customer service. Security was well trained and guards made us feel very welcome. We're energetic 70 year olds that are willing to move around for our entertainment -- our kids and grandkids might prefer more activity on the property. The area around the shower floor could take some minor repair but was clean if not shiny new."
