  • Wonderful Condo

"Our family of 5 had a wonderful stay over Christmas 2015. Milo, the owner, was attentive, easily accessible and a pleasure to deal with. The condo itself is clean and spacious and tastefully decorated with comfortable beds - it had everything our family needed. The building is full of wonderful people - owners, long and short-term renters - all friendly, helpful and many are Canadian :) The pool is lovely and warm and the beautiful beach is a short walk away. The building is very secure and the security guards are extremely friendly and helpful. We walked to the centre of town nightly - a pleasant 20-minute walk with the kids - and enjoyed many of the fabulous restaurants and quaint market that Bucerias has to offer. All in all our vacation in Bucerias was exceptional! We would definitely rent this condo again without hesitation and look forward to the day we are able to return to Moona condominiums and Bucerias."

"It was our first visit to PV, Bucerias and this Condo, and I speak Spanish fluently. We did not have a car. Tried to write a long review to cover all areas of our visit (hot and stormy July weather). Location Location of the house was good for us, it is secluded, quiet, little bit tricky to find (depends on taxi driver's experience). It is 5 blocks from the Town Centre, easy/charming walk. Amenities There are small market stores around (1-3 blocks) for small daily purchases (easiest if you speak Spanish), larger purchases require going to Mega supermarket (taxi or bus commute). Very good fish monger 4 blocks away. Many restaurants/bars located a couple blocks away. Place Very comfortable King Size beds (did not try futons), seating area and bathrooms (plenty of towels, nice). It has a well appointed kitchen, newer appliances but rest of utensils showing its age (I like cooking, cooked everyday). The place can get hot, it has great cross ventilation but it depends on how much wind you get. There are plenty of fans but A/C (only in Living room) is not enough to cool down the house. No A/C in bedrooms and back bedroom is hottest of all. For us was OK. Pool/Beach/Palapa Fantastic pool, beach, palapas, chairs, outdoor shower. It is so comfortable to choose to stay in the sun, sand or shade as you need it. Biggest selling point! Host Great and fast communication with host, they sincerely care about your stay. Satellite TV did not work during our stay and they tried to fix it as much as they could from USA (but, who needs to go to Mexico to watch TV, right?). A special mention to Marta (care taker), she is lovely, caring and helpful. Cooked a traditional Chicken Mole for us, GREAT! Overall Experience Our experience at Casa Fuerte was very good and just what we looked for (great food, pool, beach, quiet & relaxing). I would stay again and recommend to friends no problem. It is a 4 condo building and has shared outdoor amenities (pool, palapas, etc). Super friendly neighbours. The next door Mexican family was delightful and very quiet; the other Mexican owner was nice but threw a party until 4 AM on a Friday night. We worried about thunderstorms before coming but they were another highlight of our trip. Every day was sunny until afternoon and then a nightly, dramatic thunderstorm show to watch while drinking a cold beer, brilliant. Thanks."

  • Better than Great

"Wife and I stayed with our two adult kids and their spouses, two grandkids. When we checked in, everyone had grins so big we didn't need the lights!! Plenty of room for all. Big closets, lots of hangers, drawers. If you fill up the closet - you brought too much. This is a fully equipped 1st class home that real people live in; not just a hotel condo. Spices in the cupboard, dish and laundry soap, beach towels and toys, big washer and dryer and lots more. Books on the shelf, games in the credenza etc. Every kitchen do-dad you can think of. Dishwasher. If you can't find it, you didn't look or ask. There is a binder with lots of hints and maps. Nice big bathrooms with good showers. Both blackout and privacy shades on all windows. The deck doors open way up letting in lots of breeze. The deck is huge. Spent lots of time reading my book watching occasional beach passerby's while I had easy access to the fridge. Really comfy chairs. Good mix of sun and shade. Big umbrellas on roller casters to move them around. Bar-b-qued once on big unit. Great. Watched pelicans diving, frigate birds soaring, local fishermen casting nets, - and even dolphins! 12 steps down to the pool. Theres a shower right there. Lots of deck chairs. Pool is only a few inches deep at each end, slowly sloping to shin deep at a set of stairs going down to about 5 feet deep in the main area. Water temperature very nice and no noticeable chemicals. Kids lived in it. Lots of room. Theres a bathroom on the pool deck. Beach has nice sand, surf size changes with the wind, and just down the beach is an area of good surf breaks. This home couldn't be better located. There are lots of great restaurants located within easy walking distance. We even got take out from Maison Bay located almost next door. Enough little stores for make it yourself snacks or even meals. We did do one shop at Mega, but found enough in the town. Security was around but discreet. The key pad system was very convenient. Nice gym behind the pool deck. (wife ran, I read). Lots of stores to shop in. Not far to bus. Went to Sayulita for a day trip for 18 pesos each by bus. ( cab maybe 250) Cab to airport about 250 All in all this was a first class property. It is a home, and has every little thing like one. Better than great!"

  • Vaquero casita

"A very affordable option with a great location. It is not very far from "The bridge" Joanne and Patrica will even pick you up from the airport and take you to the bank and Mega upon arrival. I stayed in the Vaquero casita on the upper floor. It was very clean. It did not have air conditioning but they do provide fans. Good WIFI also. I loved the pool it was perfect. I recommend this room if night time noise is an issue for you and if you love an upper terrace as we spent a lot of time out there. Joanne has a massage room set up right on the site. I booked one and it was well worth it!"
