  • Fantastic Villa

"My sister and I and our husbands vacationed here for 2 weeks. I cannot say enough for this lovely Villa. We have never stayed in a rental that was stocked with every essential including beach towels and toys for the pool. The furnishings were beautiful and we will definitely go back again. The location is fantastic and walking on the beach every morning was the highlight. Jane"

  • Amazing Resort and great VRBO service by Adam

"Adam was an excellent VRBO host and everything came together perfectly. Once you get past the ridiculous check-in process, everything at the resort is fabulous. The wait at check-in is all about getting you on a Timeshare tour; and since we didn't want to do the timeshare tour, we ended up waiting for three hours to get our room. (Frustrating after nine hours of travel.) Now that I know that no one gets a room before 5pm, I wish we had just done the Timeshare tour - at least it would have given us a chance to get a room with an ocean view. That's the only negative thing I have to say about this resort, and once you've checked in, you won't hear about timeshares ever again. I recommend you go speak to the Concierge when you arrive. They have meal-plan tickets for sale and beach party tickets that you won't hear about unless you visit with them. Ask them lots of questions and find out let them tell you all about the resort. If you are from Canada, just bring Peso's - there is no reason to exchange to USD and then Pesos. Everyone at the resort is hard-working and the place is run like a Swiss watch. It's quite amazing, beautiful, impeccably clean and well maintained. The food prices are typical of what you would pay at an American resort hotel - it's not cheap, but it's not ridiculously expensive either. We bought a breakfast / dinner meal plan book (one book for the two of us) and that lasted us for the week. We walked to Cafe Del Lago for a late breakfast / early lunch using our breakfast meal plan tickets / then we used the meal-plan dinner tickets for the fabulous restaurants at dinner. We also bought the party package dinner tickets for a beach party dinner on Monday and Thursday evenings, with free open bar. They were well worth the price paid - good food, great entertainment and waitered service for the open bar. You can also walk along the beach to the Marina and take a water taxi to other areas in Nayarit for a nice change in scenery and a some shopping in a mall. Vidanta's Grand Mayan is a great resort. I loved it and would highly recommend it to any discerning traveler that is hoping for a 4 1/2 or 5-star experience."

  • This condo is wonderful! Well maintained and plenty of room for our family.

"There is a walk to the beach but not far, the pools at the place are wonderful but not enough chairs. Manual who tends the bar makes everyone feel welcome and he does a great job on the Tuesday happy hour and Thursday dinners!"

  • Not enough STARS for the 4 bedroom Residence..not there long enough!

"Don't know where to start. Exceptional and decadent, comes to mind. Staying in the residence is the premiums experienced of any suite at The Grand Mayan resorts. Access to every pool , which we took advantage of however this room includes your own on the roof of this gorgeous building. Our elevator opened directly to our suite. And the suite is absolutely without equal. We have been to many hotels, Four Seasons and the like and this is top. There is nothing negative at all that could be said. Pictures do not do this property justice. The attention to detail and the grounds will impress anyone. Vidanta group are superstars. And with a little research you discover one of top 10 places to work in Mexico (you can tell staff enjoy their job), with philanthropy for underprivileged children and environmental awards. Service is amazing. That goes for the entire property and the staff are incredible. The beach was large and boogie boarding and surf instruction for our kids was very well attended. We saw a baby turtle release as again being a beach of origin for the turtles vidanta has kept the environment as part of the experience with biologists and staff educating those interested. Food fabulous. David was in incredible to work with and next year we hope for two weeks! Shows on site were fun and going out to Puerto Vallarta was easy even for 9 of us."
