  • Perfect week away for large family. Property with wonderful amenities. Owner is great to deal with

"We just returned from a fabulous week at this wonderful property in Nuevo Vallarta. We were a group of 13 in the 4 bdrm unit, ages ranged from 15-69. My sister and I have booked many time shares over the years and we really like the amenities of this property. It is pretty close to the airport which makes for a less hectic travel day. We have been to this resort 3 times but this was the first time at the Luxxe Residence club. The unit was breathtaking. I had actually considered renting a second 2 bedroom unit because I didn't want to be crowded; I'm so glad I didn't. By the time my kids all confirmed they were able to join us the 2 bedrooms were gone. The unit is so spacious that we never felt crowded. It is definitely as nice or better than the pictures displayed. We spent many evenings on the extra large patio with the entire group having a good time. We had dinner at the Azur, Ameca Social Club, Quinto & Tramonto. We enjoyed all of them. Ameca was in our building, so we enjoyed it 3 times over the week. Everyone loved their meals, and there was so much too choose from, we all wanted to go back. The staff treat you really well.We went to the Walmart for some supplies on the first day (beverages, snacks and breakfast items), anything else we needed we purchased from the local shop at the Plaza which is very well stocked. The crepes and the smoothies at the Plaza were regularly enjoyed by our group. Jason the owner was so pleasant to deal with. He is always so responsive. I've already sent him a note to inquiry about a future booking. We cant wait till our next visit."

  • Great family vacation in a beautiful Residence unit!!

"When I first came across this listing for the Grande Luxxe Residence it looked to good to be true. It turned out to be exactly what the owner described. The unit itself is extremely large and looks just like the pictures depict. I rented it thinking there would be eight of us. The unit would easily fit eight very comfortably. The living area inside is very large and the outdoor patios are even larger. We spent a lot of time in the morning and late afternoon hanging out on the front patio playing cards, reading, and just hanging out. The view is beautiful. It was also very peaceful. There was very little outside noise. As described there are a lot of pools. We ended up only using two of them. The one on the roof of the building that is only for the Residence and the Grand Bliss beach pool. Both were exceptional. My family played both golf courses. They are very nice. The Norman course is newer and the nicer of the two. Each foursome gets the use of a caddy which is very helpful. Also the golf course clubhouse is attached to the Residence. This is great since the resort is huge. There are two tennis courts that are also close to the Residence and in very good shape. Lastly my wife and I had custom massages. We both thought the masseuses did a marvelous job. The food overall is pretty good. You have the option to make meals in the unit but we didn't use it. That being said the kitchen set up is very nice and would be easy to cook in. We were very pleased with the breakfasts and lunches we had. The only slightly weak part of the food experience were the dinners. However this is somewhat expected. I travel a lot and eat out pretty regularly at higher end restaurants. We had 5 dinners on site. One night we tried the french restaurant. As I expected it does not reach the quality of a good french restaurant in the states. However the italian/steak house was pretty good. We all had italian so can't review the beef. One night we wanted to watch a couple college football games. We went to La Cantina. If you have kids you have to eat outside which we did. The food was very good and we were able to watch our games. Overall we were happy with the food. The bottom line is this unit/resort is well worth the money. The service everywhere was great. And last but not least the owner was exceptional to work with."

  • Wow... just breathtaking!

"My family stayed in this suite last year. We were lucky, we knew the owner, who had not yet decided to advertise on VRBO. I was really swept away. First of all, we were met personally at the Puerto Vallarta Airport, and escorted to The Residence, the exclusive tower that houses the Four Bedroom Suites , and nothing else. After checking in and getting our Platinum level bracelets, up we went in a private elevator that opened right into our suite. The first thing I saw was the view straight through the living/dining room, which was of the entire Grand Luxxe Residence Club and the bay beyond. Talk about a WOW view. I walked right through the living room area and out onto the terrace, and realized that it ran the entire length of the suite, with sitting areas, outdoor dining possibilities, and a small private pool. It was stunning, such a lovely place to relax and have coffee in the morning! The suite itself is spectacular, I’m told close to 7,000 square feet! An open living/dining /kitchen area which can easily accommodate 10-12 people, a bar, washer/dryer, and 4 exquisite bedroom suites, each with en-suite bath. And all 4 bedrooms have terraces. The #1 Master shares the huge terrace facing the bay, and the other 3 bedrooms, face the opposite direction, which is a pretty interesting view. My favorite feature of The Residence Tower was the spectacular roof-top swimming pool. Views not only across the entire resort, but also of Puerto Vallarta across the bay. I could have stayed in the roof-top hot tub the entire visit. The small, high-end, market in La Plaza is only a short walk or golf cart ride away, we got all our food needs, including spectacular pastries and ready made dishes, there. The Resort is very large, 2,500 acres, but it did not feel that way. It is traversed by wooden pedestrian walkways that take you anywhere you want to go, or there are frequent golf cart style shuttles. The ocean was warm, the beach huge! And the pools! Each more spectacular than the next. We were told the resort was almost fully booked, yet it never felt crowded. We dined out every night, and with the exchange rate where it was, very inexpensive. We didn’t play golf but talked with members who do who said both courses are great fun to play. They were also just starting to build a new par 3 course, so maybe we can try that when we return, which I am already planning to do! Bottom line, this was a super visit at an outstanding resort."
