  • Wonderful Vacation

"Hola Nelida and Ralph, We returned home last night from our wonderful vacation. Thank you both for everything. The house was perfect! Socorro and Raindy were awesome cooks and so attentive to all of us including the children. They taught the children how to make tortillas and the food they prepared for us was so delicious. They made our trip so special. Every morning we were all in the pool and in the afternoons we went to the Beach Club beach. The house is Perfect for a family. I am so glad I found you on VRBO! Thank you, thank you for all your help and guidance. We are looking forward to visiting again! Best wishes, Ann"

  • Excellent Customer Service

"OK, full disclosure up front! We visited Villa La Estancia in March 2016 but Melba and Tom's unit was not available so Melba arranged a very similar unit for us on the fifth floor. A bit of background on unit numbers at this resort. Rooms all have a four digit number, then an A or a B. The first digit represents the building number (1,2,3), the second the floor number and the last two the actual unit number. In general, for buildings 1 and 3 which are the ones that run perpendicular to the ocean along the sides of the resort, the lower the unit number, the closer to the ocean. There are a few maps on Google images that show the layout and this is important. Building 1 gets the afternoon and evening sun and view of the sunset. Building 3 gets the morning sun. Units closer to the beach are generally better, particularly for view and sun. So the ideal units are generally 1-5 in buildings 1 and 3 and maybe the units on the higher floors in building 2. Most units (except penthouses) are either 2+1 or 1+1. A 2+1 has two bedrooms in the main unit, then another bedroom immediately beside it. There is a gate common to both the A and B units but it is not secure enough to leave the doors between them open if you are not around. Both the A and B units have a hotel style card lock door that you need to keep closed at night for security. If you have kids and want them in a separate bedroom, getting one of the 'real' 2 bedroom units is important. The 1+1 would likely not make most parents comfortable! If your kids are older, then no problem. You also share the balcony so can go between rooms that way. Our unit was a 2+1 and we had our two older kids (18,23) so we used all three bedrooms. The units are well appointed. We opted not to go for the all inclusive meal plan as it was fairly expensive. There are so many restaurants to visit in the area that it would be a shame to spend all of your time just at the resort. We went to the Mega store (15 minute walk, cheap taxi back) for groceries on day 1 to stock up and did most breakfasts in our unit, then either ate lunch at the resort, at Flamingos next door (part of the same chain so you have full access) or in Bucerias (15-20 min walk or $8US cab). There are four bathrooms and four showers in a 2+1 so plenty of space. Beds are comfortable, water is safe. Out of space so look for our review in Trip Advisor under Oakvillites"

  • Wonderful Week at Ocean Terrace

"From the prompt and professional responses from owner Dorice, to the awesome views, great beach and beautiful condo our week in Nuevo Vallarta was wonderful. The condo is equipped with everything you could possibly need - full kitchen, beach toys, coolers, board games, lots of beach towels, etc. etc. Staff is very helpful (Lorenzo and Guillermo at the front gate) and the location is convenient to many restaurants and activities. Poolside service from the neighboring restaurant was also a nice surprise. Within walking distance of several N.V. top rated restaurants like Fajita Republic and El Dinamita or a short cab ride to Mega, Walmart or Chedraui for groceries. We hope to be back and many thanks to the Trasolini family for sharing your home with us."

  • Amazing! Everything we had hoped for!

"My husband, our 15 month old daughter, and two of our friends and their 21 month old son, recently stayed in Nuevo Vallarta at the Ocean Terrace. We visited for a week and were sad to have had to return home! Before our arrival, I communicated often with the condo owner, and he was a pleasure to work with. He even provided a suggestion of a service that we could rent pack n plays to be delivered for our children to sleep- which was a huge relief! If you have small children and this could be of help to you too, check out Baby Vallarta. They have just about everything you could imagine, including diapers (we also had these delivered!), and their customer service was great. The condo itself was exactly as the description and photos showed. It was clean, well maintained, had WiFi, and everything you'd need to make a nice meal at home. The balcony was amazing and provided lots of people watching and relaxing! Having traveled with small children, we had hoped that the nearest store that was within walking distance had been a little closer. It was about a 15-20 minute walk. It was definitely manageable, but we had hoped it was a bit closer as kids make things more complicated. That being said, there were multiple store options available that would have been just a short cab ride away. In terms of restaurants, there were several within walking distance, and we made sure to try each of them. At the recommendation of the condo owner, we went to Fajita Republic (twice!) and loved it. Dynamite, right next door to Fajita Republic, was fantastic too. Right beneath the condo, the onsite restaurant, offered Italian food. Honestly, we had hoped for authentic Mexican food, but it was delicious nonetheless. And, there were 2for1 margaritas during happy hour! :) Ultimately, we would recommend the Ocean Terrace condo to anyone and everyone we know! It was a beautiful place, with incredible infinity pools, and was literally just steps from the ocean. Michael and Doreen, the owners, were so kind and gracious to have let us use their condo for our first family vacation. We are excited to plan our next vacation and will definitely be making a trip back to the Ocean Terrace!"
