"We stayed at Villa Koi August 6th to the 14th of August. You can assume by the pictures that is going to be a great place. There is no way that you can prepare for what you actually receive. The house is exquisite, each room is a stand alone master suite, far enough from each one as not to hear anything but the water crashing on the beach. We brought 10 family members that ranged in age from 6mos. to 65 yrs. There was plenty to do in Punta Mita without ever having to go to Puerto Vallarta. The real question would be why would you ever go out to eat? Our adult children went out one night for an anniversary dinner and said it was very good but not near as good as Lucy's cooking. No one ever went out again for dinner. Ron and Marriete have built an oasis that is like paradise. There just is no way to adequately describe how wonderful Villa Koi is. Now the real surprise of the property. Javier, Lucy, Marcos, and Eli. You will never need for anything not groceries or drinks or great breakfasts, lunches and dinner. We are already looking at dates for 2017 that we can return. Thanks to all that made the getaway such an unimaginable experience."

  • Paradise

"We just spent 8 days in Casa Litibu for a family beach vacation. First of all Bonnie, the owner is really nice to work with and so patient and really prompt in answering questions. Casa Litibú is wonderfully situated in a lush garden with beautiful flowers and tropical plants on a green hill overlooking the beach and sea. Where should I start to tell what we loved most. To begin with, there's so much space in and around the house, we were 7, but there was always a quiet spot if someone wanted some privacy. It was so nice to change from one terrace to another during the day and get better and better views as one moved up a level. Being on the top terrace and looking over the sea and mountains made us feel in paradise. Likewise, opening the room door to the balcony after waking up and just hear the sound of the see and the birds singing, while looking at the beautiful surroundings had the same affect. We had Ricardo and Jessica prepare dinner for us the first two days which felt so luxurious, since they also prepared the table and washed the dishes. Both are very nice and helpful. Even so, the kitchen is so well equipped that we felt invited to cook ourselves. It was really fun to go out and buy our food, even though it was almost a day trip. But buying a super fresh piece of tuna in the beautiful marina and fish market of La Cruz de Huanacaxtle is really worth it. Besides that we spent the first 5 days or so just in and around the house, swimming in the sea, cooling off in the pool, and relaxing. The beach is so close by and we could see our children play on the beach from the terrace. It was very hot, so having the pool, sea and airconditioning in the bedrooms was absolutely a must. The last days we wanted some action and Ricardo was very helpful to get us a discount. There is a lot to do in the area, canopy, horseriding, ATV riding, fishing, surfing, other beaches to explore, etc. We had rented a car, but even if you wouldn't have, Ricardo told us that the companies that organise all these activities can pick you up. We were so happy and relaxed in casa Litibu that we didn't want to leave. If you want to feel in paradise, secluded from overrun places, this is the house for you. We would definitely love to come back."

  • Paradise on the beach

"This is the best place my husband and I have ever stayed. It is unusual to be able to stay in a place that feels so secluded yet is only minutes away from excellent restaurants and shopping and recreational activities, and with access to Puerto Vallarta. The house is a great base for exploring the area; however, it is so comfortable we did not want to leave. We loved being right on the ocean and having the beach in the back yard, falling to sleep to the soothing rhythm of the waves, seeing the green fields across the street.. I loved that there were fields of green across the road and that there was a nearby bluff with another fabulous view. Photos do not do it justice. Philip and Susan have created a lovely retreat filled with folk art and Mexican art and many thoughtful touches. Just one example is that one side of the pool is shaded in the morning, which made it possible to spend more time in the water. Another is the many beautiful windows framing postcard views. With upstairs porches on two sides and a patio overlooking the ocean, there are many outdoor "rooms." Susan and Philip are knowledgeable about the area and we appreciated their excellent suggestions for places to eat and shop and things to do in the area. I would recommend this property for several couples, one or more families traveling with their children, multiple generations, a group of women. We will definitely be back."
