  • 5+ stars! We like an "uncommon" experience as well as luxury, and we found both at Casa Golondrinas.

"My husband and I spent 11 days here over Christmas and had various family members join us at various points - our 2 college-aged kids and their significant other; my brother, sister-in-law and their adult daughter and her husband. We absolutely loved our stay! We travel often and are pretty picky about accommodations. We like an "uncommon" experience as well as luxury, and we found both at Casa G. We have stayed at the Four Seasons Punta Mita many times, and we love the area because it is safe, secluded, peaceful and away from the hustle and bustle of Puerto Vallarta. So when we decided to take an extended vacation with 8+ family members, I looked to VRBO for a private home in the same area. First, Susan & Phil are simply delightful and were wonderful from the time I reached out for the reservation until we drove off on our way home. When we arrived they welcomed us into their home like we were family, and were available throughout our stay by text or call. We had a minor problem one morning when the coffee pot wouldn't work and Phil came over within minutes. The house feels like an airy Mexican hacienda with bright colors, arched windows with gorgeous views and plenty of room for 8 of us to spend time together or find a quiet spot for yourself. It was well appointed and had everything we needed. The house was meticulously cleaned every day by Sylvia. We aren't sight see-ers or tour type of people, which is why we are picky about accommodations since we spend the majority of our time at our chosen location. We love to be in our bathing suits all day, relaxing and swimming. A quick shower and then dinner in or out in the tiny town of Mita. But Casa G would be a great base for exploring surrounding areas too. The patio, pool and jacuzzi is where we spent our time. We loved sitting on the patio watching the pelican and frigate birds glide by. We were lucky enough to see whales in the distance, We all loved interacting with Tico the bird, she was very entertaining and didn't bother us one bit. The weather this time of year was perfect, it was never hot and we didn't need to use the bedroom air conditioners, we slept with the windows open and enjoyed the breeze and the sounds of the ocean. Heavenly! We had Octavio and his chefs cook for us 3 nights and it was very, very good. Best of all they clean up too! I highly recommend their services. We loved Casa G so much I was already trying to figure out when we can go back before we even left!"

  • Perfect for our family

"We thoroughly enjoyed our stay....condo was beautiful and had everything you could possibly need including surf boards/boogie boards/ snorkeling gear etc. Our kids especially enjoyed the enormous pool with an incredible view. Being able to walk to dinner every night was a treat....we enjoyed all our meals out but especially loved Si Senior and the Blue Shrimp....Taco y Papas for casual was awesome....We took surf lessons / excursion to the Mariettas islands through Ascion .....they were fantastic...we actually became friends with Alex (surf instructor) and had dinner with he and his Finnish girlfriend on our final night. Everything to do with our accommodations was made easy by Ana & Scott. We intend to return."

  • Another lovely stay at Hacienda de Mita (Punta de Mita)

"We were lucky enough to spend nearly three weeks in Hacienda de Mita and enjoyed every minute of it. The condo was great with all amenities, as well as concierge assistance on hand if required. It was very useful to have a golf cart to get around and access to the various facilities dependant on the club membership. We particularly like the location of HDM as we can walk to the local restaurants in El Anclote and surf from the beach in front. Our young children enjoy all the facilities, the area and always make many friends during their stay in Punta Mita. We had a great time and definitely plan to come back."

  • Gwest

"I booked the house immediately after talking to the owners. They are so nice and accommodating, everything they described about the house, staff, location was perfect! The home is a playground for a family wishing to relax by the pool or exploring the beach, or playing in the private spacious meticously manicured grounds. We we greatest upon arrival with cool towels, delicious guacamole and chips and a fridge stocked with beer, snacks and everything we could expect. Needless to say we were very impressed. Belén the concierge is a gen and works her magic for every reservation, surfboard delivery, beach club recommendations you name it she knows it and gets it done with a smile! Salina the House chef /cook prepared the best breakfasts and lunches 8 hungry surfing buddies could imagine. She was our MVP! He surf spot El Faro is down the private trail below the house and the point is a 4 min walk. The rooms are huge, private and very well appointed! We are definitely going back next fall!"
