  • Relaxing and comfortable

"We love Chacalla and stayed previously at the Mar de Jade but wanted to cook some meals this time. Jill's villa was beautiful with great views and I loved both of her suites upstairs. Both are filled with amazing art and colour. Ours had a kitchen so we did not need to use the shared main kitchen. The bed is the best in Mexico! It is quiet and the rooftop terrace was especially lovely in the early am for birds and evenings for star gazing. You will hear the Chacalacas!! Jill is very friendly and helpful and give us some good pointers. We hiked to a waterfall a few km s away and that was beautiful and refreshing. Best to take a 4x4 though! Also went to marina and hired a boat for whale watching and not only did we see mom and calf up close but many others. Then headed to a private beach with caves for a swim. Spectacular day! Best breakfast was at Casa Pacifico hands down. Not to be missed. The beach was always there beckoning and we swam daily. I made many friends with Mexican families as they are so friendly and warm. A great time! Thx to all who helped make our stay special, Liz and Rob"

  • Sweet Spot

"Casa Iguana is comfortable, clean, and charming. It was a great place for our family of 4 to stay. The caretaker, Laysha, was so friendly and helpful. The kitchen has what you need to make your own meals and there are plenty of towels and other amenities. The neighborhood around the casa is a little bit rough, with a few barking dogs and chickens to remind you that you are in Mexico... it is noisy with the sounds of roosters and other animals, but that affects every place in Sayulita. Bring earplugs. I suggest renting a golf cart, as its easier to zip around town in."

  • Beautiful in every way.

"We spent 11 days in "el nido de Tortuga". We found everything to be lovely. The location is beautiful - a comfortable 15 minute walk along the beach or by road to town, sublimely quiet and surrounded by tropical gardens and trees. We bird watched from our deck and slept at night to the sound of the nearby surf. The accommodation was wonderful- clean and well maintained with the most comfortable beds I have ever slept in away from home. The owners were in residence and were generous, helpful and readily available, as were the staff. We were in need of quiet, comfort and sunshine and we experienced all three in spades."

  • Amazing. Simply amazing.

"This home is the definition of luxury. Every detail has been thought of. • Umbrella and beach chairs • Beach towels • All the kitchen utensils and appliances you could need • Comfortable furniture • And, much more   And all this is just the practical stuff. We were in the lap of luxury. Comfortable beds, pool side chaise lounges I could sit in to read for the entire afternoon without getting stiff. Not to mention, a hammock where I enjoyed an afternoon siesta.   We came with our two children, 21 and 17 years old. They shared a room while my wife and I and shared the other. Perfectly comfortable. The bedrooms have screen doors so you can sleep to the sound of the Pacific Ocean. If it’s too warm, you can close the glass doors and set the air conditioning.   The bathrooms are spacious. The showers in both rooms are huge, with river rocks on the floor to massage your feet. The kitchen was amazing as you can look out at the ocean or birds as you prepare and eat your meal.   On top of all that, you get concierge service. We arrived to the home after 8:00 pm at night and our grocery list was purchased, delivered and put away. When we woke up the next morning we cooked omelets in the morning air.   The concierge service booked a whale-watching and snorkeling trip for us. The captain and first mate were kind and thoughtful to our needs. It was an A+ experience, we saw a humpback whale leap out of the water in front of us. Imagine an animal the size of a freight train locomotive leaping from the water. Amazing.   Dining in San Pancho was a joy. We’ve never had so many meals with terrific service. Every where we went the service was impeccable. We felt welcome and pampered throughout. Plus the food was amazing and inexpensive! It’s about 30%-40% the cost of comparable experiences in the USA.   Sallie has thought of every detail, emailing us directions along with tips on driving in Mexico for the first time. Everything was as simple as it could have been. The residents of San Pancho are a joy to share the road with, patient and kind. They aren’t in any hurry, very different than what you deal with when you are a visitor in a city in the states.   My son said it was more enjoyable than going on a cruise. It’s like getting to stay in paradise rather than having to pile back on a ship to sleep in a cramped room with stale air. I’m so happy we came. I am sure we will be back. Hopefully soon. Thank you, Sallie."
