  • Casa Chula is amazing!

"My husband and I visited his parents in Lo De Marcos and had the pleasure of staying at Casa Chula. Carlos and Jodi the owners were wonderful, and made sure we were well taken care of. Casa Chula is very warm and has a great home feel. The pool is an added bonus! It was nice to be so close to town and the beach. The little town is filled with good people and amazing food. We have planned our trip for next year and can't wait to be back in Lo de Marcos and enjoy Casa Chula again!"

  • Private, amazing pool, amazing view. Very relaxing.

"We recently stayed at Casa Los Loros for 7 nights and had an amazing time. We were two adult couples from Vancouver, Canada and a spare from Miami, Fl. Firstly, I find it a bit odd that other reviewers keep moaning about the stairs. It's not THAT bad at all. In fact, I remember distinctly laughing about it with the posse. It's a big beautiful hacienda overlooking the jungle & ocean. There will be stairs. You will be fine. The road (Nanzal) to the place however... Wowza. Really steep and winding. It's definitely not good for very unfit types or the elderly or folks with mobility issues. Actually who am I kidding? It‘s GREAT for unfit types or taco whores like myself. But seriously, the walk from the house to town/beach is so beautiful that we actually enjoyed it a lot. When returning we would walk sometimes for excercise and get taxis more often. Aida, as per other reviews, was so great. A warm soul. She has a sweet little boy named Marcos Jr. and a dog named Bobby. We downloaded the pro version of an amazing translation app called iTranslate Pro and could converse with them over WiFi in almost real time. (BTW, said app is Star Trek level cool and helped around town as well). She made us an amazing traditional dinner one night and we insisted that she and her son join us. The pool was a bloody life saver. Sayulita is very hot & humid and we used it often. Coming from the Pacific North West we‘re not used to that kind of heat and it took a few days to acclimate. The pool is a perfect size and depth for all types of people. Oddly, the ocean feels even warmer. The pool is refreshing. We would definitely stay at Casa Los Loros again. We would definitely visit Sayulita again too... Actually if we had the pesos we would most definitely buy a place there. Sayulita is paradise! Randy, as per other reviews was a great digital liaison and we at no point felt left in the dark. You may see the odd critter in the house... This is normal for this part of the world. You‘re in THEIR jungle after all. We miss Sayulita so much. Back to work on Monday. :-( (Save me!) Pro tip: There is a restaurant in town called Yeikame (Yelp it). We loved it so much that we ate there for breakfast like six times. BEST huevos rancheros ever ever ever. Lunch & dinner great too. If you can't goto Bucerias for banking we found a solid ATM outside of Su Casa bar. Also outside the liquor store across from Choco Banana. The other ATMs in town are super sketchy."

  • Fantastic Proprty and Hosts!

"We spent 2 1/2 wonderful weeks at Sunset Casa in the Aztec Suite. Dan and Robi were great hosts and we quickly became good friends with them. Their knowledge of the area proved invaluable and the small town of La Penita is charming. There are enough good restaurants and a great selection of fresh produce and fish if you choose to cook in. We did not rent a car and don't see the need for one as local transportation to neighboring villages is very reasonable. We would come back here in a heartbeat! Oh, and Milo, Dan and Robi's Schnauzer is absolutely adorable. Thanks again Dan and Robi. We hope that our paths will cross in the not too distant future."

  • A fantastic home in Sayulita.

"Hi Seth, We are actually in Oaxaca, We really appreciated your house in Sayulita. The view is fantastic on the ocean but also because of many birds in the canope. We hope that this bosque will survive. The service from Nancy was great, She always take care of our demands very quickly . Few points that could be improve. Some new pans of good quality to cook with, A nice basket to put the fruits and a nice pot to make flowers arrangements. These are details that make a plus. We also appreciated the communication I had with you Seth. Thanks again. Pierre Seguin"
