  • Amazing home!

"This house is every thing it promises, and it is as amazing as other reviewers have described. The pictures and descriptions are accurate and speak for themselves. I will comment on how accommodating, professional, and helpful the owners and staff were in the process of booking the reservation and during our stay. For instance, after arriving, our group of 14 friends rented 4 golf carts to get around San Pancho (I highly recommend this choice, and San Pancho Rentals was great to work with). Due the power needs of charging 4 carts simultaneously, we kept tripping the breaker box. Not only did the staff keep helping us fix this issue, they came out the next day and installed an entirely new electrical outlet to allow us to charge our carts. We had a slight issue with an A/C unit in a bedroom, and they were there 10 minutes later to fix it. I can't say enough wonderful things about how professional, quick, and helpful everyone was during our stay. Our group plans to book this house again, we have told everyone how wonderful our stay was, and I highly, highly recommend this property to any interested parties. If you book this house, be sure to take time to read the wonderful books the owners compiled about the process and philosophy behind building this house; it increases your appreciation for its beauty. The documents the owners sent after booking were also extremely helpful. My non-property related tip would be to book Diva Tours to pick you up from the PV airport, ask them to stop by Mega (a huge grocery store), stock up on all your supplies and food, head to the house, and begin your vacation! The entire experience was amazing, and I genuinely hope to return to this property for more wonderful reunions with friends!"

  • Ocean views we still dream about!

"The views from Casa Ladera are simply breathtaking. Every morning we sip our coffee on the upper veranda listening to the birds and the waves; every evening we are treated to a spectacular sunset while sitting in the plunge pool. The quiet & private location allows for pleasant walks along the uncrowded beach into town or out into the jungle for a cool morning workout. All of the comforts of home are to be found - wonderful beds with a/c and full bathrooms; fully stocked kitchen and a gas grill to cook as often as we wanted; wifi to keep us connected to the real world; multiple choices of places to sit back and relax. The owners have thought of every detail to make Casa Ladera our own shangri-la! San Pancho itself is such a special place to visit. It is tranquil and not overly touristy like neighboring Sayulita yet still offers an amazing variety of dining choices. You can sit in a beachfront restaurant and sip a cold drink watching the surfers without being pressured to go on a time-share tour like in Puerto Vallarta. We have stayed at Casa Ladera a handful of times over the years and it continues to exceed our expectations with each visit. The owners are easy to contact, quick to respond to any questions and have a vast knowledge of the area - from restaurant suggestions to where to find freshly caught fish to bring back and grill. We highly recommend Casa Ladera and are already planning our next visit!"

  • Amazing Family/Friends Retreat

"We had a group of 14 adults and 2 children for a week at Villa Violeta and were nothing short of impressed with our experience! The staff are incredible: Yesika is a very gracious and friendly host. The staff are friendly, professional, and were ready to help with any request we had. The meals were fresh, homemade, and delicious-as if we were eating at a fancy restaurant every day! They paid close attention to a shellfish allergy in our group. We especially enjoyed the ceviche, guacamole, salsa, tacos, coconut shrimp, fried bananas, and tres leches cake. We enjoyed fresh fruit & fresh squeezed juice with breakfast and lunch, and had a variety of entrees for dinner. We chose to bring some of our own alcohol with us but what we didn't bring, they provided within a few hours of our request. The pool and beach offered great gathering and play spaces for the entire group & we had a bonfire on the beach on our last night which was a perfect ending to a great trip. Like other reviews mention, you do need to be prepared to be well removed from town and patient with the WiFi access because the connection didn't always work, which was great for us! If you are looking for a week to truly connect with your group, disconnect from the internet, and simply relax, this is a great location for you! Yesika arranged for massages and our massage therapist was incredible! There is nothing quite as relaxing as a massage outside with the sound of the waves crashing the in the background! They work with a very professional transportation service to help you get to your excursions but honestly, we didn't go too many places because they provided everything we needed. Some our our group went fishing and were picked up right at the beach on site! Our group was a little uncertain with how much groceries would be at the end of the week, but please do not worry too much about that...the bill for all three of our meals was significantly cheaper than if we had gone out for every meal or took a shuttle in to San Pancho/Sayulita for groceries multiple times during our trip. The quoted average of $25-$50/per person per day is very accurate. The rooms are all unique and open air. They do provide fans but the nights can be a bit warm depending on the season. Not every room is completely private (some share ceilings or spaces) but if your group is comfortable with that, you will not be disappointed with the rest of your experience. We all had an incredible time of relaxation!!"

  • Comfort and ease

"In town casual comfort here suited our group of four adults and a toddler. San Pancho is charming, pretty, friendly, and laid back. Although we rented a car (from Gecko in Bucerias--highly recommend) one would not need one here. This property is walkable to terrific restaurants and nice shops (Hotel Cielo Rojo breakfasts were divine, beachfront La Perla is a great place to park oneself on a lazy day, and we loved rustic Tacos de Amor just down the block, etc--we use TripAdvisor for restaurant reviews and they are spot on). The house is also well equipped with a full kitchen, plenty of beach towels and linens, excellent air conditioning for those really hot days, and a nice pool to cool off in with a box full of plastic toys for the little ones. Excellent owner communications, house manager Eduardo was available when we needed him and housekeeper Marlena kept the place clean and tidy. We loved it and would return in a heartbeat."
