  • Wonderful holiday spot

"My husband and I spent two glorious weeks at the Casa Amarilla in beautiful Sayulita. The accommodations were designed with everything in mind. The kitchens were modern, the bathrooms had a lovely shower, the bedroom was large and the king-sized bed was very comfortable. Most importantly the private deck, the shared upper deck and the pool area were well maintained and offered a variety of spaces to relax in. We were also lucky to have been able to spend some time with our hosts, Sheran and Doug, they were very friendly and made us feel welcome. The town of Sayulita is a real gem and the beaches were spectacular. We enjoyed our daily strolls in to town and really felt like we experienced an authentic Mexican holiday. We will definitely try to return to Casa Amarilla."

  • Vacation Heaven

"Just getting into the routine of life again is a chore after returning from a fantastic week in Sayulita. More often than I want to admit I have been caught day dreaming about our trip to Sayulita, remembering how wonderful our stay and accommodations were in Casa Agava (part of Villa Muy Bien). The outdoor living style was exactly what we needed to escape from the winter weather back at home. The crashing sound of the waves, the cool breeze, and the warm air made this stay so enjoyable. The gorgeous flowers that decorated the decks and gardens were well groomed. The dip in the pool was absolutely refreshing. We were so close to everything the bus stop, the market, restaurants and the beach. A golf cart is definitely not required. This property is well maintained and equipped for its guests; it includes a safe for your valuables and a separate key pad entrance into the unit. Kitchen is stocked with everything you may need - most important item the citrus squeezer to make those perfect margaritas. Bill and Kathy were fabulous hosts and went above and beyond to make our stay exceptional. Thank you for sharing a little peace of paradise with us, hope to see you next year."

  • Loved Casa Papa

"I had a positive vibe from Casa Papa from the start, since Charley responded immediately to a call from my wife. I think he was even at a soccer game, it was a Sunday afternoon after all! We were in the house within about 2 hours from calling. It was clean and decorated with the perfect amount of modern amenities and the Mexican charm all travelers desire. The kitchen was fantastic to work in, we actually ate most of our meals at home. However, it's true what the other reviews say - you are a five minute walk from town or beach with restaurants and bars. We spent most mornings at the beach, then retreated to home for lunch and siesta and playing in the pool. We loved being in the neighborhood - the sounds are of families and dogs and chickens and just everyday life. Some nights we enjoyed the sounds of the thunder from far away. I can't think of a better spot at such a reasonable rate. We'll be back for sure, next time hopefully for longer (we were there a week and did not want to leave) and with friends. Thanks to Charley and Jose Luis and his family for all the excellent customer service and care."

  • Outstanding experience

"My husband and I recently had the opportunity to stay almost two full weeks at Casa Angel. It was our first time in Mexico, and our experience with the house and the town of Sayulita was outstanding. The house is as beautiful as it shows in photos. The kitchen is fully equipped with everything you'll need. The water quality is excellent; we drank tap water without issue. The beds are very comfortable; sleeping under a palapa roof is a unique experience; the detail and uniformity of the fronds above are amazing. The swimming pool is heavenly and very well maintained. The views from every room offer a glimpse of the jungle and its creatures; we saw MANY! Bring binoculars; we used ours constantly! The bird-watching is amazing! We saw Elegant Trogons, Chachalacas, a Colima Pygmy Owl, Golden Cheeked woodpeckers, Yellow-Winged Caciques, Magpie Jays, Tanagers, Orioles, several parrots and many more that we didn't identify. Defenders.org has a great PDF "Birds of the Riviera Nayarit" that we referred to often. The many iguanas were fun to watch too! Carmina is a wonderful house keeper, but her true talent is in the food she will make on request; she even gave me a lesson when I asked, in how to make authentic ceviche and a couple of salsas - I told her she needs to offer classes - she is worth her weight in gold; tip her well. Chemo takes great care of the garden and grounds - it is a veritable paradise. Nanzal Hill is better known to us as "Buzz Kill Hill." It is short, but the steepness combined with 86 degree weather and 90% humidity makes it quite a hike back up! But it is part of the adventure.. and your reward for climbing it is that glorious, refreshing swimming pool (and whatever you put in one of the several blenders!) We tried the golf cart rental, but it truly is a short distance, and so decided the expense not worth it. Did I mention the view? You'll not get this jungle experience staying in town. Casa Angel is Romantic, private, beautiful and natural. You would do well to choose this home. Thank you so much to the owners for sharing their piece of paradise with us! We loved it and hope to return."
