  • We had a good time

"We had a good time at Carolina house, the house looks just like the pictures, kitchen is well equiped, it was clean and the surrounding was quiet. I would rent it again. I would recommend it for someone who speaks spanish and who has a car. I never found a way to walk down the trail to go to the beach..."

  • Villa Mananitas- Paradise

"My family just returned from Playa Las Tortugas, and our 7 night stay at Villa Mananitas. We had an absolutely spectacular time, from the 100 ft walk to the beach, to the warm Pacific waters, to the gorgeous villa, to the stunning pool, it was all perfect. The staff (with a special "thank you" to Pascual and Chela) was there for our every need. We had 3 dinners and 3 breakfasts cooked for us and they were all delicious. The landscaping was flawless, and our gardener tended to the pool and grounds every morning. You could never leave the villa and have the time of your life, but the beach is fantastic. We had a great time doing the following- wading across to have lunch at Platanitos, a half-day of fishing out of Platanitos, an afternoon kayak session in the estuary, and a 2 hr horseback ride along the empty beach. We will be back. One note- the 3rd bedroom is separate from the main house, so not ideally suited for a young child to sleep in alone. But nicely appointed with a private restroom and shower."

  • Had a fabulous time

"We loved our stay at Villa Pacifica, the view, beach, surfing the waves and staff were amazing too. Opt to have the house chef, she was a great cook and very accommodating."

  • Perfect couples retreat

"Susana and her staff (Juan Pedro, Chabela, etc.) put on the most lovely B&B retreat imaginable. Casa Pacifica is the northernmost residence in Chacala and overlooks the jungle, ocean, at Chacallila Bay. Quiet and outstanding breakfasts at the rooftop restaurant, along with spacious and well appointed suites. As it is at the Northern end of the community bring your walking shoes as it is pleasant 10 minute walk to the beach and beachside restaurants. As Chacala is out-of-the-way, prices for meals etc. are very very reasonable. Sunsets at a beach restaurant can't be beat. It is almost a 2 hr ride from the airport in PVR, lovely scenery along the way and you can either take a cab (don't pay more than about 1,600 pesos for the trip before tip) or you can take the air conditioned Pacifico bus from the PVR bus terminal (take a cab from airport to the terminal) to Las Varas and then 150 peso cab ride into Chacala. A little longer due to stops along the way, at less than half the price of a cab but a very nice "slice of mexican life" taking the bus. Muy Bien!!"
