  • Amazing Family/Friends Retreat

"We had a group of 14 adults and 2 children for a week at Villa Violeta and were nothing short of impressed with our experience! The staff are incredible: Yesika is a very gracious and friendly host. The staff are friendly, professional, and were ready to help with any request we had. The meals were fresh, homemade, and delicious-as if we were eating at a fancy restaurant every day! They paid close attention to a shellfish allergy in our group. We especially enjoyed the ceviche, guacamole, salsa, tacos, coconut shrimp, fried bananas, and tres leches cake. We enjoyed fresh fruit & fresh squeezed juice with breakfast and lunch, and had a variety of entrees for dinner. We chose to bring some of our own alcohol with us but what we didn't bring, they provided within a few hours of our request. The pool and beach offered great gathering and play spaces for the entire group & we had a bonfire on the beach on our last night which was a perfect ending to a great trip. Like other reviews mention, you do need to be prepared to be well removed from town and patient with the WiFi access because the connection didn't always work, which was great for us! If you are looking for a week to truly connect with your group, disconnect from the internet, and simply relax, this is a great location for you! Yesika arranged for massages and our massage therapist was incredible! There is nothing quite as relaxing as a massage outside with the sound of the waves crashing the in the background! They work with a very professional transportation service to help you get to your excursions but honestly, we didn't go too many places because they provided everything we needed. Some our our group went fishing and were picked up right at the beach on site! Our group was a little uncertain with how much groceries would be at the end of the week, but please do not worry too much about that...the bill for all three of our meals was significantly cheaper than if we had gone out for every meal or took a shuttle in to San Pancho/Sayulita for groceries multiple times during our trip. The quoted average of $25-$50/per person per day is very accurate. The rooms are all unique and open air. They do provide fans but the nights can be a bit warm depending on the season. Not every room is completely private (some share ceilings or spaces) but if your group is comfortable with that, you will not be disappointed with the rest of your experience. We all had an incredible time of relaxation!!"

  • The best relaxing mexican vacation

"I absolutely love San Pancho, Mexico, a small but inviting town on the Pacific with loads of charm and the best restaurants. But it wouldn't be such a relaxing and fun vacation for me if not for Lincoln and Jill, the propeitors of Casita Cielo. Very private but close to the hub of everything. Lincoln's quaint coffee shop with the best coffee around and believe me, being from Seattle, I am very fussy about my coffee, is steps away from the most private and magnificent pool to swim in. And did I mention Jill's homemade pastries to go with at least one cuppa java? I love the privacy that the amazing garden's provide me if I am swimming, reading or making art. Just writing about this makes me want the next 6 months to whiz by and I will be there again in my little secret paradise. Couldn't recommend this more highly."

  • One of a kind experience!

"My husband and I chose Mar al Cielo for our 15 year wedding anniversary. We were looking for something away from the hustle and bustle and secluded. This property went over and beyond our expectations! When you first arrive you are taken back by the beauty of the views and sounds of the crashing waves below. We had made plans to go into town the first day to the market but couldn't pry ourselves away from the property! The house is wonderful. It was very clean and relaxing. Bugs were not a big issue like we were expecting. You have views from the bed pretty much in every direction. We slept every night with the windows open, feeling the breeze and listening to the ocean. We woke to the sunrise and showered watching the birds fly and sing about. We LOVED the outdoor shower and bath and used it regularly and never ran out of hot water. The kitchen had everything we needed when we decided to cook. The palapa was wonderful, I will never forget those views! One night while eating dinner a coatimundi visited the pond for water! We had Carlos make us dinner multiple times and we were never let down, it was wonderful! Raul's wife also made us dinner one night and it was amazing too. Jodi was top notch in every way. She was always there when we had questions and she went above and beyond to make sure we were happy. We called her asking for a ride to some nearby towns (we didn't rent a car) and she got us a personal tour for the day with a stop for lunch! She really made it feel like an all inclusive vacation! We went on the bird tour with Luis and were so happy we did! We highly reccommend it. The private beach is, well, very private! We were able to do some nude sunbathing and swimming without worry. The trail to the private beach on the front of the property can be a little strenuous and steep but it's manageable. You can also go to the beach from the driveway and it's an easier walk. I do recommend you bring some type of water shoes, there are rocks on the beach and in the water. The house and the palapa have wifi, added bonus! If you want to relax, get away from it all, and connect with nature you'll absolutely love this place!"
