  • Excellent location with great view while still just above the center of town & close to the beach

"The location of and views from the house are excellent. It is only a block or so above the zocalo and two more short blocks from the beach (5 min walk); yet it is high enough to have a great view over town and up the coast and to feel removed from the hustle and bustle of town. The pool next to the house is a smaller pool meant for cooling off on hotter days. The big pool is down one and a half levels and is great for swimming and kid's play. The house is an older, comfortable place with an open kitchen and living area and adjoining terraces that easily accommodated our extended family group for meals and just hanging out. On the main level within the house the only way to the master bedroom is through the second bedroom and the shared bathroom. Each room, however, has an outside door to a covered terrace so the solution is to use the terrace as the hall. The third bedroom is a separate unit below and behind the main house with a partially separated kitchenette and eating/living area and bath. It is not fancy, but with a double bed, bunk beds and a couch, it can sleep a crowd. There are lots of stone steps down to the big pool and further down to the street requiring some vigilance with kids. Casa Vista Alegre was a great place for our extended family of grandma and grandpa, uncle, mom and dad and three grandkids. It was easy for everyone to come and go to town and the beach and to hang out at the pool or around the house."

  • Another AMAZING Experience!

"We stayed here last year, which is why we returned! A great location - awesome people - beautiful surroundings - walking distance to everything :) We may have to purchase our own place soon. LOVED our rental. The owner is very accommodating and very easy to communicate with. THANK YOU!"

  • It is better to have and not want than to want and not have.

"The Reservationist contacted me before my arrival to assure me my taxi would be waiting. The driver offered me beverages and made sure the air conditioning in the taxi was suitable for me. Arriving to the Hotel I was shown to my room and the Receptionist stayed to make sure everything was suitable to my needs. The accommodations were spacious. The furnishings included several beds, a divan, couches, chairs, dining table and bed stands. Fresh drinking water, a T.V. in each room, a working air conditioner in each room with ceiling fans and free wi-fi. Hot water in the shower and in addition: pool towels, bathing towels, kitchen with cooking pans and plates, toiletries and an in room safe box. The rooms were bright and sunny, dark curtains were available to darken the bed room if needed. The refrigerator was clean and roomy with a huge bag of ice in case I needed iced water. The electric stove and gas range were beautiful. And I used them often as I was on a budget, but I found the local eateries to be very affordable and delicious. The hotel was located right on the beach and recreation amenities included two pools one of which was on the roof!, surfing boards, Stand Up boards, boat tours, fishing and much more. The breakfast kiosk on the roof served up fresh fruit smoothies, homemade buttermilk waffles, omlets, fresh coffee from a coffee press which they brought to your table. Or I could have espresso drinks or cappuccino. I loved sitting on the deck chair or lounging on the beach in the evening and watching the locals come to the beach with their children. I loved seeing and hearing these children laughing and playing in the sea. Local snorkel fisherman dove for lobster and octopus or clams and urchins. The town is quiet and laid back the locals are helpful and respectful. Horacio, Rodrigo, Daniel and Marcos (Boat owner?), Miguel, Maritza, Gilberto and Antonio. To the staff, thank you!"

  • Superb in Every Respect

"My wife and I thoroughly enjoyed our two month stay in this spacious and comfortable condo with a great view of the Yacht Club and Paradise Village Marina. The amenities provided by the owner and the condo association only added to the attractiveness of this two bedroom condo. The property and the grounds are beautifully maintained, the pool is delightful and there is no hesitation by the management to assist the occupants in their enjoyment of the facility and nearby attractions. The adjacent shopping mall is filled with specialty stores and restaurant opportunities as well as a full service grocery store with well stocked shelves. Transportation to nearby attractions or into Puerto Vallarta by taxi or bus is readily available in front of the mall. All in all this is a suberb condo in a superb location. Highly recommended!"
