  • We liked it so much we came back 8 months later

"We were there last February and liked it so much that we returned again in November. That fact alone says more than I can say in a review. This is a gem. It's every bit as nice as its pictures. Master bedroom, main living room with kitchen, a nice second bedroom, two baths, all air conditioned with controls in each room, a new modern system. And a balcony that includes a nice shaded patio, with a fan, that we used for every meal. The condo complex is connected to the Hotel Viceroy, so you can use the hotel's special area at the beach, where waiters will serve drinks and meals if you like. Playa de la Ropa is a beautiful beach. It's just a 10-minute taxi ride into the main town of Zihuatenejo, 50-60 pesos this month. What the pictures don't show is that everybody you deal with in this place is friendly, happy to help, and reliable. Fernanda, the housekeeper, is a delightful addition to any vacation, happy to prepare meals and wash clothes and keep the place spotless if you pay her her normal (very reasonable and fair) rates. The people in the main office are accessible and always helpful too. They are happy to bring you the big bottles of water for the kitchen and set aside beach furniture for you at the main beach (for a very reasonable fee). As I write this I debate giving it four stars instead of five, but hey, we returned to the same place, so that seems unfair. The two reasons I might have for making it four, are: For the record, you don't see the beach from the condo unless you stand in the right spot and look straight down the path through the palms. You are about 100 yards away, maximum, with a view of the lush vegetation, the tops of the palms, and the well-paved path down through the garden past the hotel rooms, the hotel gym, the 25-year-old parrot, one of the pools, an outdoor restaurant, to the beach. The wireless bandwidth is only 2-3 Mbps, and the router is by the side table in the master bedroom, so you get wireless effectively only in the master bedroom and the covered patio."

  • Loved every minute of our stay

"Our rental has been a great experience from the first day to the last. We were met by the agent and he took us around patiently? The apartment was very clean and is charming. It is bigger then it looks on the pictures. If you want to experience the Mexican atmosphere, there is no better place to be...Cobble stone streets, roaming musicians, street markets and lots of bars and restaurants with life music. The beach and ocean are a five minute walk away. One feels very secure in the building and the security guards and building personal our extremely friendly and helpful. We spent many afternoons by the beautiful, heated pool, again a very well kept place and clean. The owner went out of his way to answer any questions and kept contact with us by email over a long period of time. To our pleasant surprise the apartment was also cleaned for us during our stay. I would not hesitate to recommend this condo to anybody and we would certainly rent it again on a future visit to Puerto Vallarta."

  • Beautiful property. Well laid out for privacy. Very good staff. Location close to town and beach.

"Unfortunately there was a large festival in town and Monday was a holiday so the beach was full of tents and campers. Also very loud music until late at night Saturday and Sunday. We did not use the beach until the crowds left on Monday. The pool was nice and we had a chef cooking on Sunday so we did not have to deal with the craziness in town. I still like Sayulita but was disappointed with the timing of our visit. Avoid the festival and holiday time if possible. I was looking for a quaint setting which did arrive later in the week but unfortunately effected my friends impression of the area. Gordon's house is very nice"

  • Million dollar view and location

"The view and location was fabulous. The accommodation is small but with a table inside and on the deck it is more than enough for 2 people. The beach and infinity pool are excellent. It is a 25 minute leisurely beach walk to Bucerias which is a small well equipped village full of locals and tourists. Good restaurants and a great artist scene. Next time there I will sign up for the art class in a casual fun atmosphere at a studio gallery. The coffee shops are great. The only negative is that it could have been cleaner. The greasy smear stains on the cupboards was the first thing we noticed. The kitchen was missing a kettle, pots to cook in and the only dishrag we had was dirty and mildewy. It set the tone but a phone call took care of things and soon we forgot all about it once our feet were in the sand and a beer was in our hand. We would stay again for sure, You cannot beat the location."
