  • Condo is even better than pictures show, and owner is Amazing to deal with !!

"From the first phone call, right through to the end of our 3 week stay, Gino was amazing to deal with. So helpful sending lists of different restaurants from budget to high end, favorite breakfast places, etc. so we could research them before going to Ixtapa as this was our first trip there. We arrived to find a beautiful bouquet of flowers with fruit around it, beer in the fridge and wine.....what a thoughtful thing to do....that cold beer was certainly enjoyed when we arrived to the heat of the afternoon. The condo itself is well equipped with everything you would ever need, and then sone. The property of the BVG Marina is spectacular. I have never seen a pool so well layed out and enjoyable to use. There is a smaller Adult pool separate from the huge Infinity pool but in the whole 3 weeks we were there, i think we seen 4 kids, and all very well behaved, so we used the Infinity pool the whole time. The servers in the restaurant / bar are very good. They serve you around the pool as well as in the restaurant and they work very hard. There are cards that you put money on in Administration and that is what you use for drinks and meals. An automatic 10% is added for tips which I think is fantastic. I know most of us tip, but for those that don't, they don't have a choice !! These people work so hard and in my opinion 10% is not enough - we tip more than that at home and these people deserve it, believe me. I always tipped extra because wages are not great and they rely on us appreciating their service and hard work ( my two cents) :) I would not hesitate to go back to Gino's condo...Sunsets are spectacular. Thank you Gino for making my vacation stress free from beginning to end !!"

  • Wonderful Time!!

"Costa Bonita is beautiful!!! This condo is very comfortable. It's on the first floor just a few steps to the pool, beach, restaurant, which by the way food is delicious and very affordable. Gail has everything you need to feel like you are home. All the staff and very nice and helpful. We felt very safe there. One thing I really loved about this place it's that is very CLEAN! No matter where you were from the gate of the entrance to the the bottom of the pool super clean. During the time we went which was end of May everything was very quiet but staff mentioned that during the months of October-February there more things open at Costa Bonita. We were looking for quiet so for us it was perfect. Thank you Gail for sharing your little peace of heaven with us!"

  • Perfect vacation!

"I can't say enough about how beautiful this place is, and how lovely our time spent there was. My family (husband, 3 children, grandparents) stayed here for a week and were very comfortable, with every wish being taken care of by the excellent staff. The views off the bedrooms and main living area are stunning, and there was always a gentle ocean breeze. Sunsets are amazing, enjoy the view from the beautiful infinity pool. The estate also has an amazing private beach, with it's own set of showers and pools, as well as a safe, inlet sand beach. We did a day trip to see a little town near an active volcano, and we also enjoyed the little restaurants around Manzanillo. But I agree with another reviewer, there is really no need to ever leave this beautiful home! We loved every minute and wished we could have stayed longer. Definitely hope to go back."

  • Delightful From Start to Finish

"After nearly a decade of hearing wonderful things about San Miguel we finally took the plunge and reserved Carol's home for a two week stay. We arrived after a long day of travel late in the evening and the night manager was there awaiting us with keys in hand. The pictures really don't do the place justice. It was everything we had hoped for and more: impeccably decorated, clean, quiet, comfortable, and fully accommodating for a couple celebrating our 10th wedding anniversary. We were well taken care of by the staff (Maribel and Ana) and set off each morning down to the Centro to explore, dine, relax, and take many, many photographs. Being situated on a hill above the city center allowed for amazing photos of the sunset as well as daily cardio when we returned. Coming home every evening was so much better than staying in a hotel room! We bought food at the local market and truly felt like we'd found a home away from home. Although there was a neighborhood fiesta during our stay, we were warned well ahead of time by Carol and the on-site manager, Maribel. The good people in San Miguel love a reason to celebrate and they celebrated a full weekend while we were there. There was music and fireworks and children playing from sun up to sun down, but I wouldn't have changed that experience one bit. If you are going to experience what it really feels like to be part of a community while you are vacationing, I can see no better way than to enjoy the festivities with the locals. Otherwise, the house and the complex was whisper quiet during our stay, the songs of hummingbirds notwithstanding. And even upon departure -- when our private livery arrived at 4:30 a.m. to take us to the airport in Leon -- the night manager took our keys and wished us safe travels. Truly a delight from start to finish and an experience we will cherish for a lifetime!"
