  • Perfect vacation stay

"The house is even nicer in person than in the photos. The two biggest selling points for us were the location and the pool. The pool is long enough for lap swimming but each unit has quite a bit of privacy. It is a just a few blocks from the Zocalo - central but quiet. Also close to many of the restaurants we had planned to visit. Mary Jane, the owner, is a good resource for things to do. We especially enjoyed the Mercado on Sunday which was just down the street. It is a true neighborhood market and it was fun to see local people doing their weekly marketing. There is a supermarket about a block away for groceries which would be nice if you were traveling with kids or doing a longer stay."

  • A little piece of heaven!

"This is the second time in this area, and we spent six months in this house. Thank you so much for agreeing to rent to us long term. The owners take great pride in the house and it shows. It is not just a house but a home. It was a delight to be there. This property is very well maintained and equipped. All the amenities were there, in good shape and of good quality. The beds and all furniture were very comfortable. The kitchen is a good size and having a pantry was wonderful. It was so nice to have the space to store our groceries. It was a pleasure to have air conditioning, and most especially, good air conditioners, not just window shakers. Having a washing machine was so convenient. The owners were very good about addressing any problems we encountered. The house is situated on a cliff overlooking the ocean. We never got tired of the view. The migratory path of the whales runs right in front of the house and it was awesome to see them, their babies and the Dolphins so close and personal. The housekeeper, Manuela, was a great asset. She speaks English and was invaluable to us in many ways. Mariano is the gatekeeper/security/maintenance person. He takes his job seriously, and we always felt completely safe. He took over pool duties the end of January, and always had the pool pristine for our use. It was lovely! Puerto Angel is a little fishing village, quiet and peaceful. The local people are what brought us back to the area a second time. They are honest, humble, hard working. Playa Panteon was a lovely place to swim and snorkel. All the beaches/villages in the area are lovely and each had their own flavour. Zipolite was a great place for the sunset and people watching. It also sports some good restaurants. San Augustinillo was our favorite place for swimming. Mazunte had a great vibe and some good shopping. We walked everywhere we could, and used local transportation (collectivo trucks and cabs, regular cabs, and busses for greater distances) and never had a problem. Again, our thanks to the owners for allowing us to share their home. It was truly a joy to be there."

  • Breathtaking Bayfront View!

"This was a beautiful house & with 10,000 sq ft. it had many different areas to relax. Our stay was for one week and our group consisted of two couples. The infinity pool was one of our favorite places to relax....there are fabulous views of the water. The sunrise and sunsets were gorgeous every day. The owner, Monte, was very easy to work with and answered all questions quickly. Monte was delightful to vist with and is available as much or as little as you want him to be. The home is well taken care of and is in a gated community. It is located a short distance to great restuarants & shopping ($2 cab ride) or more shopping and restuarants in La Cruecita ($4 cab ride). Vienna restaurant was a short cab ride and the food and service was wonderful. We had breakfast and lunch at the house and went out for dinner in the evening. Spent one day at a spa in La Crucecita (there are many options) and we loved the steam, mud bath and one hour massage. We were well taken care of for 2+ hours, & was very reasonably priced at US$35.00. Would definitely book again!"

  • Amazing Views and Convenient Location

"My husband and I really enjoyed our time at Casa Emily. Anthony was very helpful with our arrangements, even when we had to change our reservation dates months after booking. He also helped arrange our transportation back to the airport at the end of our stay. We enjoyed being in a quieter residential area, but still within walking distance to downtown (just wear good walking shoes because those hills on the way back are steep!). The views from the apartment & rooftop palapa are incredible. We spent some very relaxing afternoons sipping cocktails on the roof where the breeze and shade were refreshing. We also had unobstructed views of an incredible thunder & lightning storm from the safety of the apartment. We were thankful that we had earplugs on a few weekend nights, but I imagine that would be the case anywhere in the city. We did find closing down all of the doors in the bedroom helped with noise as well. Overall, the apartment was very comfortable and we definitely hope to return again soon!"
