  • Authentic Oaxacan Neighborhood

"Perfect, affordable home for a short or long stay in a world class Mexican city. The apartment is charmingly decorated with all essential services, Internet, cable TV, well stocked kitchen, three bathroom/showers, patio/garden and secure parking. No need for a car as Casa del Barrio is within easy walking distance of "downtown," Zocalo, museums, health clinics, neighborhood restaurants and anything you want to do locally. Ricardo is gracious host, helpful with suggestions, answering questions in English and/or Spanish. He made my stay especially memorable by becoming a running partner, showing me various routes around the city and even registering me for a half-marathon. I will be back!"

  • Great condo!

"We spent a week here in January. The condo was well equipped, clean and very comfortable. There are plenty of windows which allow for a nice cross breeze and eliminate the need for air conditioning. The tv had plenty of English speaking channels. The pool was clean and the grounds were well kept. These condos are about 10 minutes from Puerto Escondido and just up a hill from the farming village of Bajos de Chila. We had a rental car so getting into town was never an issue for us, but the location might be a bit inconvenient if you don't have your own transportation. We really enjoyed our week here, including the early morning braying donkeys and crowing roosters from the nearby farms. We would definitely come back!!"

  • Paradise

"Our stay at Casa Inspiración was amazing. The property is tastefully decorated, and very well designed. Each bungalow has its own bathroom, and they are all facing the ocean. However, the best part of Casa Inspiración is the staff of five people that constantly make sure you feel at home. The cooking was superb—both for Mexican and International dishes—and the drinks were well prepared. Make sure you ask them to make you tamales and ceviche, and pair them with one of their fantastic margaritas. If you are looking for a house to hang out with your friends or family, but that still has the service level (and space) of a hotel, this is the perfect place for you."

  • Breathtaking Bayfront View!

"This was a beautiful house & with 10,000 sq ft. it had many different areas to relax. Our stay was for one week and our group consisted of two couples. The infinity pool was one of our favorite places to relax....there are fabulous views of the water. The sunrise and sunsets were gorgeous every day. The owner, Monte, was very easy to work with and answered all questions quickly. Monte was delightful to vist with and is available as much or as little as you want him to be. The home is well taken care of and is in a gated community. It is located a short distance to great restuarants & shopping ($2 cab ride) or more shopping and restuarants in La Cruecita ($4 cab ride). Vienna restaurant was a short cab ride and the food and service was wonderful. We had breakfast and lunch at the house and went out for dinner in the evening. Spent one day at a spa in La Crucecita (there are many options) and we loved the steam, mud bath and one hour massage. We were well taken care of for 2+ hours, & was very reasonably priced at US$35.00. Would definitely book again!"
