  • Breathtaking Bayfront View!

"This was a beautiful house & with 10,000 sq ft. it had many different areas to relax. Our stay was for one week and our group consisted of two couples. The infinity pool was one of our favorite places to relax....there are fabulous views of the water. The sunrise and sunsets were gorgeous every day. The owner, Monte, was very easy to work with and answered all questions quickly. Monte was delightful to vist with and is available as much or as little as you want him to be. The home is well taken care of and is in a gated community. It is located a short distance to great restuarants & shopping ($2 cab ride) or more shopping and restuarants in La Cruecita ($4 cab ride). Vienna restaurant was a short cab ride and the food and service was wonderful. We had breakfast and lunch at the house and went out for dinner in the evening. Spent one day at a spa in La Crucecita (there are many options) and we loved the steam, mud bath and one hour massage. We were well taken care of for 2+ hours, & was very reasonably priced at US$35.00. Would definitely book again!"

  • Fun in the Sun

"My wife and I Just arrived home after 18 days at Villa Sol y mar and loved it but was sad to have to leave. Wayne and Marcy are wonderful hosts, they have great knowledge about Huatulco, they suggested many places to eat in town and things to see and do. They truly do treat you like one of their family! The villa gives you a spectacular ocean view along with great everyday sunsets wether you are in your room, on your balcony or in or beside the infinity pool. A very relaxing place if you choose to stay at the villa or be adventurous and walk to nearby private secluded beaches or cab it. The villa is located in an upscale residential neighbourhood. The open air seating and awesome infinity pool is all you need for that relaxation time. No need to ever get up early and race down to put a towel on a chair like AI's. The availability to eat in and cook your own meals on the BBQ or stove ads a nice touch if you choose to stay put wether it's lunch time or supper. Cabs are five minutes away and are reasonably priced to town. Pedro & Elsa maintain the grounds and rooms and have a continental style breakfast ready every morning at 8:00 and be careful her waffles are very addicting lol!!. Sitting around the huge table eating and sharing stories and getting to know your fellow guests ads that extra touch to the Villa. Being able to also experience in town and eat at the many restauruants and experience the Mexican way is something you will never get staying in an All inclusive, the locals are friendly, and just nice people and a very safe city. Villa Sol y Mar is the perfect place to stay if you want to get away from the All Inclusive stays. The rooms and grounds are absolutely spotless and well maintained. We would highly recommend this place to stay and being there after seeing the pictures is truly paradise, look forward to a return visit Tom & Lisa Wpg, Mb Canada"

  • Wish we'd stayed longer

"What a wonderful vacation! The house is beautifully decorated but also feels laid back enough so we didn't feel bad walking around wet or sandy. I was there with my two kids (10 and 13) so that was important. We mostly relaxed by the pool after going into town the first day with the caretaker and his wife to buy groceries and some pool toys. He drove us and she picked out the food that we would need for the week. Having never been to Mexico my kids and I had a blast seeing the local market where we got fresh fish and fruits and vegetables (we also bought a hammock to bring home, some clothes and other knick knacks). The caretaker also found us a great surf teacher in town who my kids took lessons from for two of the days we were there. The surf teacher was Rene at Central Surf. He and his EIGHT brothers (God bless his mother) have owned and operated their shop since the beginning of the surf surge in Puerto Escondido. The cook made amazing fresh meals for us everyday so I didn't have to lift a finger. I was really free to enjoy our surroundings and relax. One afternoon when we were walking down the beach my kids and I found two sets of turtle tracks that led to two nests. Unfortunately the tide had washed most of the eggs around the beach but it was an amazing thing to see. People with kids who love to swim in the ocean should be warned though that the currents are risky on this beach. I didn't let my kids do anything other than body surf right at the shore. The owner of the house had warned me of this so we were prepared. Oh and the wifi connection is great! So when we needed a little break from all the sun, sand and pool we would all go into our rooms or take separate couches in the living room and watch a little streaming tv. :) I hope we will be able to make this trip again next year!"

  • Casa Milan

"This was our first time to Huatulco. We are two friends and opted for this accommodation which allowed us our own personal bedroom and ensuite. The road, Punta Santa Cruz, which leads to your destination is beautifully lined with cacti, exotic flowers and exotic birds sitting atop mango trees. When we arrived at Sueno Real we were in awe of the beauty of the condo complex both from the road and upon entering. The whole complex with its varied levels and gardening is exceptional complemented by its golden sand colour. Casa Milan is beautiful and is well described in the earlier reviews. The views from the two terraces are breathtaking. The first terrace takes in the pool and Santa Cruz Playa with the marina and town. The top terrace, which is large and beautifully decorated with large clay pots of flowers and cactus, teases your eyes out to the Pacific and gives you the feeling that you are alone - a million dollar view. Our one disappointment - we were there for only one week."
