  • Amazing Views and Convenient Location

"My husband and I really enjoyed our time at Casa Emily. Anthony was very helpful with our arrangements, even when we had to change our reservation dates months after booking. He also helped arrange our transportation back to the airport at the end of our stay. We enjoyed being in a quieter residential area, but still within walking distance to downtown (just wear good walking shoes because those hills on the way back are steep!). The views from the apartment & rooftop palapa are incredible. We spent some very relaxing afternoons sipping cocktails on the roof where the breeze and shade were refreshing. We also had unobstructed views of an incredible thunder & lightning storm from the safety of the apartment. We were thankful that we had earplugs on a few weekend nights, but I imagine that would be the case anywhere in the city. We did find closing down all of the doors in the bedroom helped with noise as well. Overall, the apartment was very comfortable and we definitely hope to return again soon!"

  • You set the tempo: make it as relaxed as you want.

"Las Palmas, Huatulco is a haven! If you are looking for comfortable livable surroundings, beautiful views to the ocean, the green comfort of palm trees, the vibrancy of bougainvillea, and a great pool, then stay here. This is a small resort, standing on a headland about 10 minutes from town centre by taxi. It is quiet! It is calm! And all the attractions of Huatulco are still very close. For a beach holiday, I like a place that is well appointed but not fussy. I don't want to worry about a bit of sand or a wet bathing suit. Las Palmas meets that criteria. The casitas are well-designed, and thoughtfully equipped and homey. Good beds! And being on the headland, the breeze at night is wonderful. Staff: very friendly, eager to help and as attentive as you require. And most have been at the resort for a number of years. They know their jobs, and how to take care of their guests to make them feel right at home. That's how I feel at Las Palmas: right at home! Thanks to the owners, and staff for making Las Palmas such a welcoming place."

  • Paradise!

"The minute we stepped into this villa we felt we found paradise! The views are breathtaking, on a bluff overlooking Santa Cruz bay, day and night there's so much to take in. The villa is very spacious (each bedroom having a private ensuite), well maintained, equipped with everything you need, clean and very private. The on-site property management staff and caretakers were exceptional right from when we checked in to check out - delivered water to our villa, assisted arranging taxi's, cleaned the pool and grounds, suggestions for restaurants/tours, etc. We often wanted to spend our days at the villa taking in the views, watching activity below, and enjoying the outside terrace and private pool to cool off during the hot days and into the evening. The villa is walking distance to Santa Cruz or a short taxi ride away from many amenities. Cruise ships ported in the bay which added to the spectacular views! Would definitely recommend this property getaway to couples and families and hope to visit again."

  • Beautiful, well equipped house in village north of Oaxaca

"We stayed in the house for almost one month, from February 9 to March 9, 2016, and we did enjoy the time there. The house well situated, surrounded by Mexican village life, with three tiendas in walking distance, where you can buy most of your needs. The house itself is beautiful with terraces on the front and rear, in a large garden; a paradise for birders. The house is full of local art and very colourful, with two bedrooms, and a sleeping porch, where we sat most of the later evenings. Catalina come once a week to clean and help with other things, and gardeners also appear on some days. The house is somewhat difficult to find, but with the help of the property managers, Carl and Celina, it should not be a problem. Our daughter with her two year old stayed for two weeks, and Celina helped out to find a crib for the child. The house is peaceful, but there are Mexican village sounds, which usually stop around 10:00pm or so. The nights are cool in February, down to 10-12 C in early morning, so you will sleep very well. It will warm up very fast and by early afternoon easily reach 30 C, and by early evening still around 22 C, so you can have dinner on the terrace outside. The kitchen is very well equipped, with basically everything you might require. A large superstore, along a Costco concept, Bodega Aurora is halfway between San Pablo de Etla and Oaxaca If you stay only for a few days or a week, and will mainly visit Oaxaca and places nearby we recommend to go by taxi, around 200 pesos one way to Oaxaca. Public transport by motor taxi, tuktuk and local bus will be adventurous, but time consuming. If you stay longer, as we did, I strongly advise to rent a car; we found Hertz at the airport very reasonable, and they actually mention to you that the third party liability is included in the rental. Most other rentals, especially the ones in town include it ( and excessively) in their price resulting in a very expensive rental. Mexicans drive very defensively, are polite and use common sense rather than following strict rules. If you follow the same routine, check all sides of the car, and beware of the speed bumps (topes) you will enjoy driving in Oaxaca. In Oaxaca city there are a number of public parking sites, clearly indicated by E(staciamento), are fairly quiet and charge only 15 to 20 pesos/hour. Oaxaca is at 1600m ,consequently you need some adaption if you arrive from sea level, and the sun can be very hard. We recommend this rental very much"
