"Just stayed here January 22 to February 3rd and had a fantastic time. There was 8 adults and 3 kids under 3 and there was plenty of room for everyone. It is located at the end of town near the lagoon nice and quiet area. Akumal beach was about a 20 minute walk and about 30 mins to the highway. We rented a golf cart for the week for $250 usd and came in handy. I would totally stay here again."

  • A classic beach house

"Casa Del Mar is what I imagined when I think "Mexican beach house." Airy, white, with Mexican flourishes, this place absolutely charmed me. The upstairs balcony off the master bedroom overlooks the sea and is big enough to hang out, play cards, make memories, have a few drinks. Same for the back porch. This house is great for families or a gang of friends -- it practically invites memories. Beds are comfy, loved the pillows. Hot water was never an issue. Strong wifi. Lovely swimming pool. Walking distance to bars and restaurants. Can't wait to return!"

  • Amazing stay at La Bahia in Akumal

"We had just an amazing time stay! Really, I can't say we had anything negative to say about the place or our trip. The place was spacious, and had all the amenities we could possibly ask for. We were even able to watch football on Sunday morning! The weather turned out perfect (although we were a bit concerned about hurricane Matthew's path days before leaving). We maybe had ten minutes of rain the whole trip! The staff at La Bahia were just awesome; they were helpful and available for whatever we needed. We were there with a couple who had been to Akumal and stayed at La Bahia before (they stayed in #3 both times), so it was nice having them to guide us around Akumal and show us all the spots. But really it's an easy place to navigate. We were able to rent bikes right there at La Bahia, and they were a perfect way to get around. The staff was always available to put air in the tires or fix any issues we had, which we did not. We did a lot of the touristy things: snorkeled and spent time at Akumal Bay, Coba, Playa Del Carmen, Tulum Ruins, and Ya Kul. Absolutely loved the restaurant La Buena Vida (just a short bike ride or walk from La Bahia), and spent a lot of time there. We had a number of meals there also, all very good! La Lunita, a short ride/walk the other direction was also very, very good. Ya Kul was a phenomenal snorkeling spot, and it's just a short ride away also. But really, snorkeling in front of La Bahia was as good as any place I've been to, lot of coral, fish, and clear water. Half moon bay is just gorgeous and unmatched at sunrise. We were also able to see plenty of turtles in Akumal bay (a mile or so away), and the beach there is the best I've seen, ever. We have been to both Jamaica and the Dominican (Punta Cana), but I would much rather return to Akumal. It's an amazing little pocket of paradise and much more affordable than a resort!"

  • Visit to Casa Caribe: Thanksgiving 2016

"We loved this location! House is very nice with an open layout, and great oceanfront views. The staff (Christina and Luis) were very nice. We would recommend this property to our friends as a great vacation rental."
