"We loved our stay in Villa 8 the week of Christmas. Where do I begin? The view that almost assaults you as you walk into the living room soothed and enthralled the entire week. Patio w/4 loungers and a table was a nice extension of living room. The space...so important w/an extended family that ranged from 2 to 65...helped to allow for plenty of togetherness and yet privacy. It was nice that there were sand toys for kids. They enjoyed the pools as well as ocean. Skip the hotel buffet...food mediocre at best. Although we slept in the penthouse, we didn't use upstairs kitchen AT ALL so can't comment on frig and we never tried to bake in oven in lower kitchen. Blender works great for margaritas and toaster oven also deployed as well as stove top. Erika is fab and very accommodating. Watch the steps inside...they can be tricky. Highly recommended! We went to Xcaret...overpriced theme park, but in our case, a better option than an archeological site when you have small children. Really, we didn't want to leave our location at Villa 8!"
