  • Perfect Vacation

"Where do I start?... Pros: Booking Process – Easy and convenient. Working with Judson was an absolute pleasure and we really appreciate the savings and service we received by booking through Exotic. The Grounds – El Dorado Royale is a beautiful resort. The grounds are very well maintained with numerous pools, trails, beach, tennis court, gym, outdoor and indoor restaurants, etc. We enjoyed a lot of walks admiring the perfect weather and stunning views. In the afternoon, we would usually either swim or relax by a pool. The pools were clean, calm and there was certainly no shortage of them. The layout of the resort is very well designed. Despite the grand size of the property, even popular areas were never too loud or crowded. The Staff - Amazing. Everyone went above and beyond to make us feel welcome. We felt pampered the entire time. The Food - Wow! I can honestly say that I’ve never had a Caesar salad as fresh and delicious as in Jo Jo’s. And Santa Fe Grill, I am positive would impress even Top Chef critics. Even after already eating gourmet meals all week long, we were astonished by the dinner at Santa Fe Grill. It was our last dinner at the resort and a perfect grand finale to our trip! Impressive! Cons: Going Back Home – After a full week back home, we are still struggling to adjust back to reality. Being so spoiled at El Dorado, we forgot how to cook, clean dishes, pay bills, etc. Have to re-learn it all over again. And deal with the pain of seeing $$ and $$$ figures on restaurant menus for items that do not compare in either quality or taste to the food and drinks we had at El Dorado. I think I am ready to go back. :)"

  • Perfect!

"My husband and I stayed in 209 for a week. Location, location, location! Literally steps to the pool and just a few more to the beach. The views from the patio are stunning. Best shopping and restaurants a few more steps away. The condo is quite functional. Its clean and well appointed for a beach condo with all the required amenities like beach towels, blender, new cookware, washer/dryer and WIFI! We'll definitely be back to this unit! We've been coming to Villas Marlin for almost 20 years. This has been one of our favorite condos. For the newbies-Fish Fratanga is one of the best kept secrets on the island. Order the coconut shrimp, shrimp mignon or the grilled fish. You can't go wrong at Lima, LaHabituela Sunset, or Hacienda Sisal. All within a 5 minute walk. The Tequila Grill at Kulkulcan is a great place for breakfast. If you want to venture a little further, our favorite restaurant is Lacondo Paulo in old Cancun where Italy meets Caribbean culinary skills. Not to be overlooked is the guacamole at the poolside snack bar. My husband and I travel a LOT for work and pleasure. Villas Marlin, and now condo 209, is my favorite place ever!"

  • FABULOUS COZUMEL VILLA

"This was a family vacation consisting of 5 couples and 3 young men. The set up was perfect for everyone. Of particular note is the cook and her staff. They were always on time, friendly and the food was delicious. The meal plan is highly recommended by this group. The villa's floorplan is ideal for a multi-family retreat and the lower floor was perfect for the 3 young men, giving the couples privacy. The ensuite bedrooms are great. The outdoor entertaining deck and pool area, along with the private beach area were perfect, with the exception of the slippery tile floors on the patio and mid-floor area. We used the towels to make a safe transition from the pool deck to the covered patio and indoors. Having both outside and inside stairs to the upper level was also a plus. That way you didn't have spend much time on the slippery floor to get to your room. A few recommendations would be: place 3 bath towels in the bathrooms, add some hooks to the baths or bedrooms for suits and towels to dry. Some overhead fans on the outside patio would be a big plus. Warn guests that on days the cruise ships are in port, it gets very busy in front of the villa. Water temperatures in the baths were erratic. Overall, this villa far exceeded our expectations and worked perfectly for this group. We are actually considering booking it again in a few years."
