  • Absolutely perfect and beautiful place, location! Breathtaking views and gorgeous condo!

"There is not one single thing about this place that i can criticize. Its simply perfect. The pictures dont even do it justice. The condo is beautiful, clean and has everything you may need. Everyone involved are very responsive, friendly and do everything possible to make your stay perfect. The view from the balcony is a million $ view. Stunning! We stayed for 7 days and even on the last day every time i looked out...i said WOW out loud. No exageration. Its close to great food and to nightlife. As you walk out the gate if you turn right walk a few 100 feet and on the fence you will see an iguana that we named Fred lol. Fred welcomed us every single day. Keep walking for about 5 minutes and behind the big Hard Rock guitar is a lil booth that you can exchange dollars to pesos ( we got 19 pesos per $1) and you will save alot of money by paying for stuff in pesos. Walk to the crosswalk next to congo bar (not cocobongo) and theres a lil walkway with restaurants and shopping. About halfway theres Camineros Tacos...BEST place for food and drinks and very reasonably priced and great great service. We ate there many times. Ask for Antonio..he was awesome. The place across called beef fajitas was also good and so was the hour taco place. The place just past camineros which is pescadillas tacos is way way overpriced and waiter will add their own tips tp the check without telling you (our waiter gave himself a nice $10 tip without telling us). The food was good but the service was just ok and they were expensive and sneaky. Coming out of the condo if you turn left...a few minutes walk theres a couple convenience stores and a awesome lil place the Surfin Burrito. Very delicious and reasonably priced. I you plan on doing any excursions ChoiseTours right across from Camineros was good and prices were decent. If you want snorkeling go to Aquaworld..which is just a short bus ride away. They were awesome. Try to avoid using taxis, they will rip you off every chance they get. But if you use them make sure to settle on price before getting in the taxi. We used the buses all the time. Use only bus R-1 and R-2 (its only 10.5 pesos per ride) and they run every few minutes. Dont get on one that does not have R1 or R2 cos they are kinda shady. For airport shuttle we used BDTravel (Best Day Shuttles). Great service! Again the condo is perfect, the view amazing and Jenna and her crew absolutely wonderful. The people in Cancun so welcoming."

  • Charming Penthouse in Peaceful Area - Part 3

"Road Trips: Go to Chichen Itza if you want to see an amazing example of Mayan ruins…. leave at 6:30 a.m. and arrive by 9:00 cancun time… but alas, 8 Piste time! (They are on central time and Cancun area is Eastern time zone.) Recommend getting there at this time because it was incredible to have the park almost to ourselves… and before the hoards arrived, the hot sun blared and the vendors came out in full force. We did this right… thanks to Jaime’s advice. Then, go to Valladolid on your way home. Stop for lunch at Cenote Zaci…. an amazing Yucatan lunch overlooking cenote…. and they let you go to cenote via the restaurant for no charge. Beautiful!! Perfect for a refreshing swim after a hot morning! Loved everything about it. ALSO… You must go to Isla Mujeres. Charming little island. Easy to access via the Puerto Juarez Ultramar ferry. Go early to mid-morning so the lines aren’t long to park for ferry. If you aren’t parking, it is probably a bit easier. Buy tickets and catch a ferry that depart every 30 minutes. We chose to taxi to Garrafon de Castilla hotel for $5 total. Paid about $3 US for beach club access… chairs, facilities, umbrellas, etc. Amazing snorkeling right off the beach. We brought our own gear, but you can rent if you need to do so. The open-air restaurant there was amazing. Great food, reasonable prices, friendly staff. And… feed the iguanas your left-over tortillas. We caught another taxi to Playa Norte for sunset…. beautiful. Looked like it was busy but cleared out when we were setting up. Right across street is a downtown area… we had an incredible dinner at Stingray… great service… the best of the trip… and the steak tacos were incredible. Ferry back to mainland around 10 p.m. Our THIRD road trip was to Akumal Beach to swim with sea turtles and manta rays. We arrived around 9, parked, rented a locker at Lol-Ha bar and headed out to swim with the turtles. You must swim quite a ways from shore…. so life jackets are definitely recommended. You don’t need a guide. We saw turtles everywhere. A little choppy that day… but so fun. Lunch by the beach at Lol-Ha was nice. It was the most “americanized” of the places we dined. Of course, we weren’t in “hotel zone”… so that wasn’t surprising. Overall: We will return. Loved it. Jaime thought of everything… even a cooler for us and fresh jugs of water! Oh… and the sweet maid, Jaunita… she was like the Mexican grandma I never had."
