  • Life is Better in Flip Flops!

"Extraordinary view from every angle and the perfect home base from which to explore the Riviera Maya. A quiet setting steps from the water, a short walk into the fishing village of Puerto Morelos, and easy access to the major highway. The description and pictures of the Palma Real condo are true and accurate; our family of four adults thoroughly enjoyed our stay there."

  • Amazing views!!!!

"We would definitely stay here again. Akumal bay is quiet and serene with two restaurants close by. Our favorite was the Buena Vida just a minute walk - great atmosphere. The one to the north was maybe a 4 minute walk along the beach and the food was delicious. We thought that we were staying in the bottom unit, but they put us in the top and said we could move down in a day or two. Once upstairs we fell in love with the view and a little more private feeling......we stayed upstairs and would stay upstairs again....we loved the view. The staff was super friendly. The bay was a little rocky at shoreline, but we did not have any water shoes just swim fins and did just fine.....swimming was great. If you have sensitive feet maybe bring swim shoes, but not needed. Bikes for rent out back - fun to bike around area - easy bike to Yal Ku lagoon and into town - Akumal Bay - lots of turtles in Akumal Bay....more people. Overall we loved the place and location. We will be back!!!"

  • Lovely house in a peaceful location

"First off, the house is quite lovely. It's at the end of a quiet street next to other luxury houses. We were there of Christmas and most of the other houses seemed unoccupied. The beach was right in front of the house and largely empty (we saw 1-2 other people per day). The 4 bedrooms in the main house are amazing and all of the public areas were grand and delightful. The two bedrooms in the 'basement' are dark and a little depressing. The kitchen was wonderful to cook in. It could fit pretty much all of us (11 family members from three generations). The pots and pans and utensils were lacking (the owners must not cook), but there were plenty of plates and cups and stuff. The power went out a couple of times and we had a friendly mouse, but other than that the place was perfect for our needs. We loved the ruins in Coba, the Akumal Monkey Sanctuary, Sac Actun, the Xel-Ha amusement park, Hartwood (in Tulum) and the beach in Tulum. Carlos (the manager) was AWESOME. Friendly, clear english, helpful, responsive, etc. We talked to him or texted every few days with an issue and he always resolved them immediately. Super lucky. There was also another Carlos who tended to the garden, a housekeeper and a security guard all of whom were friendly and competent, but since we didn't share a language there wasn't much communication there."
