  • Great Couples Trip!!

"We recently stayed at this location with two other couples (six people total) and it was amazing. The beach is literally ten yards from the infinity pool. Downtown is a short, $5 taxi ride so we were able to buy groceries at the Mega store for all week. Breakfast and Lunch were easily prepared in the kitchen and we had dinner out most nights. Water is filtered so safe to drink and cook with. Bedrooms were very spacious and AC in every room. Two bedrooms overlook the ocean with a balcony. Maid service every other day to clean, wash dishes, do laundry. The property manager was very responsive if we needed anything. We spent a majority of our day relaxing around the pool or snorkeling. A ten minute walk down the beach and you arrive at one of the best snorkeling spots I have ever been. There are a few restaurants/bars within walking distance but most you need to reach by the $5/80 peso ride into town. I would recommend this place for anyone looking for a nice relaxing beach/pool experience with snorkeling adventure thrown in. We can't wait to book another trip to this location!!"

  • A Very Nice Place to Stay with a Family

"This condo was clean and pretty much exactly as presented on VRBO. The location is great, we were pretty surprised by how amazing snorkelling was right off the beach behind our condo. If you're going to be new to Cozumel, the transportation might require a little more planning than if you stay in a resort but we didn't have any material problems getting taxis. The pool is clean and a great temperature. Our kids pretty much hogged it from everyone else. Kitchen is pretty well equipped although we were a little surprised at some things that are apprently not standard in a Mexican kitchen, like a toaster or a kettle. The drinking water that was provided was ample and key since you don't drink tap water anywhere on the island. Maid service was regular and effective. Management was responsive to concerns and questions. I think for the price we paid you can't go wrong with this place, especially with a family. Thanks Bob, Diana and Jordi!"

  • Resort style in the comfort of home

"This house is located in a quiet area with its own beach, pool and dock for water activities. The house is large and allows two small families their own peace a quiet when needed. Comfortable and located a few feet from the beach, pool and the beautiful Caribbean. The staff is fantastic and will help you arrange any fun activities you want. The local chef prepared 4 meals for us and all were delicious and affordable. Located about 15 minutes from town, you can rent a car and have a safe place to park it. Arriving with groceries..no problem, the staff will use a golf cart to bring the bags to the house. Amber, Patty and Rodrigo are fantastic and will make your stay a great vacation!"

  • Family Vacation

"My family stayed here (2 adults and 4 kids ages 9,6,4 and 2) and we had a great relaxing week. The house is exactly as described and really quite spacious. The rental rate is only slightly higher than the neighboring property with 13 units, but you get so much more at casa cielo (more space, private pool etc). A previous reviewer said the water pressure was low, but I didn't feel that it was inadequate at all. The onsite caretaker Lucio was readily available and very friendly. The house is on a property that is shared with another house. Casa Cielo is set back on the property, but from the pool and outdoor sitting area you can still see the ocean. As well it is protected from the ocean winds, which were gusting quite a bit when we were there. The beach was good for the kids. There is a rock wall which holds the sandy area from washing away, and there is an easy entry area for when you want to go in the water. There were small waves while we were there, while the rest of the area was experiencing red flag days. We snorkeled in a few areas but found the snorkeling to be the best right at casa cielo. There is a gentle slope in the underwater terrain, and minimal current. The house is just outside the town of san miguel which makes for quick drives into the city for dinner. There are a few restaurants within walking distance that serve standard mexican fare (tacos, quesadillas etc) and "american standards (burgers, fries etc). Although the owner recommended renting a vehicle, I would suggest that if you are a big family, you should avoid renting a van. In the end we payed double the Expedia rate in canadian for the week. That is the most I have ever paid for a rental. We would not have paid nearly that much in taxis. The island is set up for the cruise ships so a lot of places close at 5pm. In comparison to other places I have traveled in mexico (playa del carmen, akumal, puerto vallarta), I found cozumel to be on the more expensive side."
