  • Fantastic location

"So happy to rent from the Hunters again. This was our 4th or 5th stay and this location is by far the best. Easy snorkeling right out front, just steps away. The condo is beautifully decorated and the beds slept better than ours at home. Perfect location for a relaxing vacation. Restaurants, shopping and bars all very close. Water sports next door. Thanks again to Bob and Diana."

  • AWESOME!

"What an amazing stay me and my wife had here. My wife is from Mexico but had never been to Cozumel like me. We met up with her brother and her mom who as well never been to Cozumel but are residence of Mexico! For me it was the 3rd time to Mexico and the first onto this beautiful island! The snorkeling WAS AWESOME and just feet from the condo! The people around the complex are very nice and pleasant. I would say that Hippie Bob was right, even though this is still a very small island, you should rent a car! The locals in town were very friendly and helpful with directions! I only had one request if I had to make it for this place, beds, the bed me and my wife slept on was very hard but then again we did not spend that much time in the condo. To much to see! But yes, change out the beds and the Place is perfect! Thank you so much Hippie Bob & Diane for making this trip memorable!"

  • Beautiful location. Feels like home away from home

"I almost hate giving my rave review of how wonderful this condo is and how easy the owner is to deal with :) . I would be so disappointed if the next time I want to book it all my dates were booked because this is such an awesome place.. especially for the price. The first communications with Diane about dates available were easy and I quickly felt like I was chatting with an old friend. She sent us a Fedex package filled with info on the island, the condo and tons of goodies to boot! Once we arrived in Cozumel, the condo was ready and waiting and we were wowed! Everything we needed was there! The snorkeling out front is some of the best we've ever experienced. The pool in the complex was where we hung out in the heat of the day and it was so relaxing. 5 days was not enough!! The A/C was nice and cool too! Something some guests in the complex had issues with in other units. The washer and dryer was fantastic. Beds were comfy which is a real treat in Mexico. I'm already looking forward to planning our next trip to Coz and I'll keep my fingers crossed Cantamar 202 is free for our dates! Thanks again, Diane! We had a ball."

  • A great place to stay in a safe and authentic neighbourhood

"We visited Cozumel in March 2016 and stayed at the Islamar vacation rental location for a week. This location is a great place to stay. Cozumel is dominated by the Cruise Ship industry and Islamar is far enough removed from the crowded areas to give guests an authentic experience of the community apart from the tourist crush. At the same time, if you want to partake of the touristy stuff, it's a 20 to 30 minute walk to the oceanfront and the downtown core. And if you don't feel like walking, there's always taxis coming and going and it only costs a couple dollars to get there. The apartments are spacious and clean, and the grounds provide a nice quiet spot to enjoy the sun and pool. The neighbourhood has everything you could possibly need, grocery stores, a bakery, restaurants and bars that are popular with the people who live here. A great perk for guests who stay at Islamar is access to the PalMar beach club. Beaches aren't a big draw in Cozumel, but the snorkelling and diving are great, even snorkelling from shore. So while there are a number of access locations to the water, there are very few places that offer a sandy spot to sit with beach chairs and umbrellas. And the few that do exist are pretty crowded. That's where the PalMar beach club really shines. It's located about 6 or 7 km from the apartment, a nice and easy bike ride away and there's all the amenities you could want. Beverages and snacks across the road from the sandy beach front where tables, chairs and loungers are available, and then you can have a leisurely swim and snorkel right there. We've been snorkelling in several locations in the Caribbean, but nothing even comes close to this. I doubt you'd have a better experience on a boat excursion out to deeper waters. Sherri is a wonderful hostess, and her staff are extremely friendly and helpful. They were available to answer questions and help, yet we felt completely free and comfortable and never felt crowded or surveilled. They even helped arrange bike and car rentals for us. There were several services provided that exceeded anything we experienced at other rentals, namely cleaning every second day, our sheets were changed 3 times over the course of the week and there was always an abundance of towels available. A small suggestion that might be a great addition to the comforts would be to have a small supply of kitchen linens (a couple dish clothes and towels), some dishwashing liquid and a bit of plastic wrap."
