  • There's a reason we keep returning

"I think this is the 4th time that we've rented this particular unit. We rented once directly through Terry before RentalsYourWay/Caribbean Beach Properties managed it, and 3 times since. We like this particular unit because it is in the Reef building and just one unit in from the beach, plus the view! It is ecorated in a cool Mayan theme, has all the amenities you need for a vacation rental,, and the beds are comfortable. We'd obviously come back here again for a 5th time. The location is great too."

  • Fabulous

"Casa Milagro has everything we could possibly ask for. The house and property are immaculate and the architecture and décor are simply outstanding. We enjoyed every minute of our stay - the peace, relaxation and fun . We had breakfast every morning on the rooftop patio and spend every evening on the cabana sharing our favourite moments of the day. We were there with our daughter, husband and their 2 boys and everyone enjoyed everything Casa Milagro, Playacar and Playa Del Carmen had to offer. The nearby snorkeling and visit to the ruins were a hit as well. The beach is a couple of minutes away and absolutely amazing. It goes on forever! We are all animal lovers and it was exciting to have the cats visiting and the agouti around all day long. We have already recommended Casa Milagro to several people. We just cannot say enough about this place, the owner, house and groundskeepers, taxi drivers and of course Chef Lynn - do not miss this experience!!"

  • We could LIVE here!

"This condo is spotless, and though it's only a studio it has all the amenities. I'd forgotten my hair dryer, but found one in the bathroom. If you can't find it, just call the manager, who graciously answers questions and gives advice. Since this was our first stay in Playa del Carmen we had no expectations or ideas of the best things to do, and restaurants to choose. The condo has a binder from the owners with helpful ideas, there are some great maps available, and a book with notes from previous guests. We loved strolling Fifth Avenue (with its persuasive hawkers at nearly every shop and kiosk) with its many shops, stopping for coffee or gelato, and picking up fruit, pastry, and drinks at the mini-mart and bakery on Fifth Avenue near the condo. There are too many restaurants to recommend, but one of the condo's maps has helpful reviews of restaurants. Our favorites include El Fogon, Lido on the beach (where we sat for hours in lounge chairs enjoying a few cold beers while watching the water activities), La Cueva de Chango (garden setting), Chez Celine, and a little place that looks like it just opened called The White Bar that offered a Taco and Beer early evening special. We had no bad experiences with any restaurants so you can't really go wrong. We took the ferry to Cozumel for a day and had a four hour tour with a taxi driver who showed us some highlights along the coast. We also spent a day traveling to Tulum and Coba to explore the Mayan ruins. We'd highly recommend both of these for a day trip. We stopped at Akumel Beach but it was too late in the day to snorkel in pursuit of turtles, but several people we met said it was their best outing of their trips. The weather, by local standards, was cold (mid-70's) but the water was warm and we only had one evening of light rain. Overall, if you have decided to visit Playa - and you should! - this is a perfect place for a couple who isn't looking for room service."

  • Romantic, Family Friendly, This Place Has It All

"We traveled to Playa del Carmen as a family of six, grandparents in our sixties, children in their thirties and grandchildren seven and three. Gillian's beautiful condo accommodated us all perfectly. The condo is visually stunning, three large bedrooms, one on the first floor and two on the second and three full bathrooms. The layout meant that we could be together and still have privacy when we wanted a little alone time. The kitchen had everything we needed and although we loved going out to sample the wonderful food we also enjoyed shopping at the Mega, a short cab ride away, and making our own feasts. The dining room fit us all easily and there were plenty of dishes. There was a blender so we could make frozen drinks which we then took out to the amazing patio that faces a private, bird watchers paradise. Each day we identified new birds and our grandchildren also loved watching for the coatis, small furry animals, that passed through several times a day. The pool was clean and large enough to swim in or just to lay on a tube and soak up the sun. A short walk from the condo brought us to a white sand beach that was perfect for walking, sitting or splashing in the waves. The condo came with beach chairs, umbrella and cooler - everything we could want to enjoy the spectacular view. It was also a short walk into Playa which we did frequently. Gillian was so helpful in answering all our questions before we left and Chris, the condo manager, was helpful while we were in Mexico. Playa itself was a lovely place to visit. It felt very safe, it was easy to get around both on foot and using taxis - we never felt the need for a car. The food was excellent from the cheap and tasty tacos directly across the street from the Mega grocery store to the more upscale options along 5th Avenue, a pedestrian shopping and eating area closed to vehicles for many, many blocks. We've been to a number of places in Mexico but this was our first time in Playa. We will be back."
