  • Perfect with one loud exception

"Our stay here was just about perfect. The condo was well outfitted, had great views and accommodated our party of 5 (could have been 6) easily and comfortably. The location is perfect for easy beach accessibility and great access to downtown and the restaurant row of 5th Ave. Why 4 stars rather than 5? The beach club two doors to the north, starting mid way through our visit, was playing the most repeative annoying electronica "music" at stadium volumes from noon to about 9 or 10 at night. Loud does not describe it; it was soul crushing, wave silencing, chest compression of bass combined with piercing screeching treble. On Thursday night the Army and Federal police seemed to shut them down. About 20 cops plus 30 or 40 Army regulars showed up and seemed to close off the street and yes shut down the beach club. The quiet was exquisite. To my disappointment the b each club seemed to be getting ready to reopen on Friday about mid-day when we departed. It is my hope that the other land owners and hotel owners can band together to get local/federal government officials to put an end to this. So I have to voice caution about this property until the noise issue is solved."

  • Convenient location close to 5th Ave, clean, excellent complex and pool with parking garage

"My family of 5 spend one week at this lovely condo and really enjoyed it. Stephane was easy to work with during booking and Marie the onsite manager was super helpful and friendly. It is a short walk to the 5th ave and many restaurants. We especially enjoyed Cueva Del Chango just off 5th and also PapaCharly Pasta Factory is a short walk in the other direction from the condo (great lunch specials - impressive presentation and flavors for the price). There is a little hand-made Empanada place on the way to Papa Charly that was really good as well. The pool was refreshing - a bit cool in the morning, but perfect in the afternoon. My son and I used it almost every day and the pool-side hammocks were very comfy as well. The condo it self is very clean and in good shape. The kitchen is small with no dish washer, but we didn't do a lot of cooking so it wasn't a problem. Nice big square dining table (maybe a bit too big, actually), and the balcony overlooking the pool is a nice place to sip coffee/tea or have a light breakfast. The ACs in the rooms worked well, but I think the one in the living room wasn't so great. My son was a bit hot sleeping in the living room with the air mattress but luckily the fan worked well. The beds in the bedrooms are very comfy and were king sized. Didn't use the TV much (but it seem to work), but we did enjoy playing the puzzle game Zoologic that they had at the condo. We rented a car so it was great to have a parking garage right under the condo. The unit is on the 2nd floor so very convenient to just walk up two floors from the garage (or the elevator when dealing with luggages or groceries). I had heard warnings about renting cars in Mexico, but we had a relatively smooth experience. I reserved upfront with America Car Rental and avoided needing haggle on the insurance at the airport, but it wasn't cheap - $400 for 7 days. The car we got was in ok shape, but make sure to take photos of any dents. We drove to Chichen Itza (hired the official English-speaking guide for ~$50US that added to the experience), the Ik-Kil Cenote (fun to float - an hour is about right) , Xplor (zipline into the water was great), Xcaret (lots of fun water activities and animals/birds/butterfly, but a long day), Joya the Cirque du Soleil show (kids loved it), and Akumal Bay (must do swim with Turtles!). For a large family a car was definitely worth it. I would highly recommend this place for anyone looking for a condo in PDC!"

  • relaxing getaway

"This is the perfect location for a relaxing getaway in Mexico. The location is fantastic. The beach, restaurants, and shops are all within a few blocks walking distance. I also appreciated that the unit was extremely quiet and squeaky clean thanks to the housekeeper. I hope we can make this an annual trip!"
