Perfect basecamp for a week in PDC

          5 of 5
You realize that what's different about this beautiful home is that it is not a "condo for lease" but someone's home that you are "borrowing" for a week :) The decor, the furnishings, the stocked kitchen, everything says "Home away from Home". It's beautiful location - proximity to the beach and to 5th Avenue - is bar none!! We walked all over PDC and sampled many of the local restaurants (El Fogon, Brochettas, Chez Celine and Kaxapa Factory are highly recommended). While the beach near home was crowded for the time of year, we enjoyed our beach day near 48th St behind The Reef. We visited Akumal (Yal Ku Lagoon followed by La Buena Vida were awesome suggestions, Scott), Tulum, Coba and the Choo Ha Cenote, Cozumel, Sian Ka'an and Muyil. Guides at Sian Ka'an and Cozumel brought the places to life for us!! Scott's thoughtful gift basket helped us knock back some hunger pangs after a day of travel. The prompt responses to queries, the dining suggestions, the clear instructions and Scott's communication made it very easy for us to settle in and make the most of our vacation. Our favorite relaxation spot was the rooftop deck. We also enjoyed conversations with the "snow birds" who spend their winter in Playa Del Carmen. Thank you Scott for sharing your home with us. It was a wonderful break from Chicago and we look forward to visit again!!
