  • Great location and the best beach in Playa

  • Beautiful, quiet, best condo complex in Playa,

"This condo is great! It is very accurately described. Owners are very helpful if you have an issues (which you probably won't) and their contact in playa is great! Having the house keeper a couple times is great, making it a little easier for your stay (especially with kids). The snack/pool bar is permanently closed so the staff tell us, this was disappointing but not the end of the world, just would be nice to have drinks and snacks at the pool. We would highly recommend this condo to friends and family and will definitely stay here again. This spot in Playa is really the best. Beach is quiet and there is always chairs and umbrellas, ocean is great for kids and swimming for all, pool always feels like you have it to yourself, plenty of chairs and cabanas and is super clean. We also hired a private chef for one night which was amazing! I would highly highly recommend Rocio and her company http://privatechefplaya.com/ Thank you for renting out your beautiful condo. Majessa and family"

  • Clean, Comfortable, Quiet, missing a few basics

"My family of 5 stayed at this property between Christmas and New Year's. It is not part of the Mareazul Condos, but rather the Nick Price Residences. Both are contained on the Grand Coral Resort property, along with a Beach Club and a 5 star hotel. This condo is a 15-20 minute walk to the beach, but the Mareazul condos and the hotel are directly on the beach. Great walking and bike paths throughout the whole complex, but this unit does not offer bikes, which is too bad. There was a beautiful pool, never busy, directly in back of this condo and also the club house for the golf course. All the basics are available, with the exception of beach towels, a hair dryer and a clothes dryer. Those items WERE advertised in the condo's description so, although it may not seem a big deal, we did not pack them and were disappointed to find out differently. Especially the towels. We ended up using the bath towels for BOTH the beach and bathing, only to find out there was no clothes dryer. Hanging them outside to dry didn't work with the humidity :-( We made do, but not having some of those advertised basic items was a huge inconvenience. We were not able to connect with the rental rep until the end of our stay, although emails regarding the missing items were sent. WiFi is VERY sketchy at this condo, which was fine by me but not so much for my teenagers, especially in the evening. Drive into Playa del Carmen was a short 10 minutes. We also drove to Tulum and Xel Ha eco park, which were no more than 40 minutes. We ate at the Beach Club twice for lunch and the food was good--pizza, burgers, fish, salads. Margaritas were wonderful. If you sit on the chairs at the Beach Club, they want you to spend at least US $10 per person. The beach is beautiful- powder white sand, clear water. A few days there were waves, but nothing too intense. Overall, we did enjoy our stay at this condo, but would have appreciated knowing its proximity to the beach and also that it had no clothes dryer. A welcome packet left in the condo with info about the area, where various amenities are, where to dispose of garbage, Beach Club information, restaurant info, etc would be a great idea. We had to feel our way through all of it. I also think if the owner made bikes available to renters, it would be a wonderful plus!"

  • Great property / enjoyed our stay very much

"First and foremost, we enjoyed the property greatly and we don't say that lightly. Pics are accurate. The unit is very spacious and the ground floor patio is amazing and actually much better than higher level balconies. You feel like the beautiful surrounding grounds are all yours. A pleasant surprise is that the overall complex, despite its many buildings and units, felt uncrowded. Not sure if all units aren't sold yet or not actively rented, but it felt like there were very few people there. The walk to the beach through the beautiful grounds and enormous pool was not very far. The beach was very beautiful and private and like at high end hotels, there's somebody there to set up the lounge chairs and umbrellas for you (please tip there - poor guy sits there all day!). The nearby beach club had good food. The unit was very clean in general though not 10 out of 10 for someone who is admittedly a clean freak. The hall bath was clearly missed in prior cleaning - the toilet had not been cleaned (and it was actually pretty dirty) - a disappointment for such a nice property but I'm sure an oversight and more of an exception. The sheets were clean and pretty nice but the bed cover in our room had some small stains - again, not a turnoff for most but I noticed when checking out the sheets up close. The property managers - Dan and Javier - are super nice and very responsive. I had an issue with the wifi (which ended up working) and there was no traditional coffee machine (only one of those with special pods but no pods!), and both Dan and Javier met me at the property, delivered a brand new traditional coffee machine, and showed how to work the wifi. They were sincerely trying to make make our stay very positive. My wife and I have both stayed at many VRBO type properties and one thing we would recommend for Dan and Javier is to provide a "welcome packet" inside the property. For example, there is a very well stocked closet with extra soap, shampoo, etc and everything else (a rarity for VRBO) but it took us a full day to find. The wifi worked but it took Dan showing us in person that it's far better when the little receiver is outside on the patio. A lot of these details and FAQ questions can be answered in advance if a comprehensive packet is prepared like we've seen elsewhere (with maps, other tips, etc). That being said, Dan and Javier are very attentive and will undoubtedly answer any questions - thanks guys! Awesome place"
