  • Beautiful views of the ocean in a private setting

"Martin's condo is everything he says it is. We stayed with another couple for 7 nights. It was my second time there and their first. The views are absolutely stunning and the property is very well kept. Marty and the manager will make sure they can do anything to accommodate your stay and the other employees of La Iguana become your friends. We made most of our meals in the condo so the kitchen is well stocked with cooking utensils. The fresh water was in constant supply which was also nice for our weary friends. Our favorite things to do in Akumal was snorkeling in Yal Kul lagoon (a 5 min walk from the condo), dinner at Del Pescador near Turtle Bay and happy hour at La Buena Vida where you can have drinks and eat while laying in a hammock right on the beach. Just south of Akumal you will find beautiful beaches and wonderful cenotes everywhere you go. Some may question being on the north end of half moon bay but please don't. At La Iguana you aren't far from Akumal but get much more peace and quiet than the resorts and places closer to town will offer. If you are adventurous skip renting a car and just rent bikes for 5 dollars a day and take collectivos to go to tulum. It's faster to ride a bike to town than take a car in my opinion, lol. VEA ATV tours was a major highlight of this vacation so look into it if you like atving through the jungle! Thanks again Marty for a fabulous time!"

  • Such a great location!

"This spacious condo is in a great location in Playa. The bedrooms offered lots of storage and plenty of room to spread out. The enclosed patio was a great spot to keep all of our beach / snorkel gear. The construction next door made it less serene that it might have otherwise been. The kitchen included most anything you might need including a coffee pot, blender and microwave. We did have a few minor issues - the ceiling fan in the guest room shorted out so was not available for use and the washer and dryer - which are shown in the pictures - did not work. Since that was one of the reasons we selected this condo, that was a disappointment. The on site manger was wonderful and very available. Also we found the owner to be responsive to emails. Overall, it is a great spot and we'd certainly enjoy a trip back!"

  • Very Nice, Everything you need is there!

"This property is excellent and has a lot to offer. We had 2 families for a total of 10 people ages from 2-49. Never did we feel cramped. Everyone had their own living space. The pool, hot tub and beach are all at your fingertips. The children definitely used all of them. We did a snorkeling trip, Chichen Itza trip and XPLOR that Angie set up for us. All were great. Snorkeling was amazing, the kids loved XPLOR, Chichen Itza was a long day, but we still enjoyed it. We rented a vehicle to explore a little more on our own. We did cenotes and dolphin beach many times. We had some local mayans prepare a few meals for us and they are were perfect, something for everyone! The town square and grocery store are a short drive away."

  • Best Vacation Ever

"We had a wonderful time. The house accommodated ten of us perfectly (4 adults, 6 kids)-- it is airy and open and well appointed without being fussy or fancy. It is truly beachfront-- no path to walk down, just a lovely front patio area with enough trees for privacy but not so much as to feel removed from the beach, then a little gate that puts you onto one of the loveliest beaches I have ever been on. Fine white sand, no rocks, perfect water entry. Just enough surf for fun safe boogie boarding most days, a couple of days calmer than that. The cook the house owner arranged was amazing. Delicious food, gracious service, made everything so easy. The house is south of the denser areas of Tulum, which was really nice because it was quiet and tranquil on the beach but also quick and easy to stroll up to other places for ice cream, a juice, a yoga class."
