  • Nice condo, lots of space, great air conditioning!

"Absolutely awesome property manager, Francesca went out of her way to make sure we were taken care of... Great communication and quick response to questions. The condo itself was spacious and clean and the air conditioning was a lifesaver as it was crazy hot outside. Location is a bit outside of town and taking taxi's everywhere got a kinda pricey ($7 us each way to town) and there is NOTHING within walking distance... If I had rented a car this place would have been absolutely perfect, but was still great. Nice to have a full kitchen and some home cooked food :) And a few more positives: tons of towels and extra bedding, water dispenser in kitchen with 5 gal jug of drinking water (serious plus in Mexico) ice cube trays in freezer! Complimentary bottle of wine, wifi, TV, Only negatives: (and they were so minor I didn't factor them into my rating) the water stopped working for a couple hours (but as soon as I called the maintenance they had it fixed in no time, so my fault for not calling sooner) I couldn't find any pan/cookie sheet in the kitchen that I could use in the oven so I had to improvise and cook everything on the stovetop.... But overall nice place, great vacation :)"

  • Amazing

"Our 2nd vacation to Playa this year, it won't be our last. We celebrated New Years there. The condo was super roomy, clean and the location is perfect. The Master has a leather pull out sectional sofa w/chaise as well as King bed that I slept better on than our memory foam mattress at home! The view out the Master bedroom and livingroom/greatroom is ocean front, we saw many amazing sunrises including New Years day which is a tradition, there were hundreds of onlookers watching the sunrise from the beach. The 2nd bedroom has 2 queen beds as well as a sitting area w/sink and vanity in the room and is connected to a bathroom with shower and toilet PLUS a 2nd vanity outside the bathroom and yet another bedroom with a queen bed & vanity w/sink! So there a 2 bathrooms but, 4 vanity's with sinks so everyone can get ready without being on top of each other. Great floor plan. The kitchen is very well equipped and one of the few units in the complex with an oven. There is also a washer/dryer combo. This was the only thing I was not fond of. It is a washer and dryer all in one and it took forever for our towels to dry. The pool area has a swim up bar that serves breakfast (very affordable $4.00 for an omelet) as well as snacks like french fries and fruit plates. The owner Elva, bar tenders, staff, concierge (Maru) and housekeepers go above and beyond to make sure your happy. The pool area was never crowded and we always had lounge chairs. They also offer chairs and umbrellas and beach volleyball on the beach at no additional charge. Walking distance to 5th street and the ferry to Cozumel as well as Senior Frogs on the beach. No need to rent a car. Take advantage of a transfer from the Cancun airport (Maru can arrange this), it is much less expensive and less stressful. We did an excursion to Tulum and Akumal for snorkeling. I enjoyed the Tulum tour and with a guide there were no long lines to wait in... it was a 45 minute tour. Not too long. Akumal was ok. Perfect for our 2 daughters that are novices when it comes to snorkling. We saw turtles but the beach was super crowded, the coral was almost dead from all the tourists (sad) and it is beach entry. You are no longer allowed to wear fins due to the delicate nature of the coral & turtles. If you want a better snorkel trip find one that takes you by boat to a reef that is alive and teaming with fish. Eat at Alux pronounced (Aloosh). $4.00 taxi ride to a underground Cenote restaurant!"

  • Clean, contemporary, comfortable! Close to everything. Cost affordable.

"We were a party of 3 who chose Mamitas 33 because we wanted to be on the north end of Playa near the great beaches of Mamitas and Coco but also close to 5th Avenue and all the great restaurants. We were so happy with our choice! The condo is beautiful, quiet, and has literally everything you need for a great vacation! The beds are great and we felt very safe and secure (we always do in Playa) in the courtyard style complex. Just off 5th but a world away. We can't wait to return when the jacuzzi on the rooftop is ready to go! We are planning a family reunion and think that this would be an awesome place to stay - just the right size. Thanks Mimosa for a good time relaxing and playing."
