  • Casa Schwartz Was Perfect!

"From initial inquiry to reservation and arrival/departure, Casa Schwartz delivered. I stayed in the this wonderful Playa del Carmen condo in August 2016 for a week with my wife and two teenage daughters and we had an excellent stay. Tracey, the owner and Volker/Noel the onsite manager and staff make it super easy to arrive and settle in. I had some trouble using Pay Pal and Tracey was very patient and helpful. The condo is located ideally on the quiet side of 5th Avenue close to Italian cafes (largest colony of Italians in all of Mexico is in PDC) and a wonderful Mexican chain café called Cacao Café... not to mention amazing Italian places everywhere. If Italian is not your thing, no worries, you can eat ANY kind of food in PDC for ANY kind of budget {guartanteed} ... though I suggest you explore the local taquerias which are amazing if you are a meat eater! You are close enough to supermarkets to walk or just take a $35 peso taxi ($2 dollars) to the Super Aki or Mega Super where you can load up on anything you might want to cook in the well stocked condo kitchen. You are close to miles and miles of beaches within a few blocks and can walk anywhere at any time because this little town is very mellow and super tourist friendly ... the place DESTROYS the "Mexico is Dangerous" myth propagated by the media. The condo is on the first floor and in a very accessible, safe and secure modern building. It has a screened-in back porch facing a nice well maintained pool to cool off. You want value, ease of use and comfort? ... stay at Casa Schwartz. Quintana Roo State and the Mexican Riviera are at your doorstep! Oh, you also have access to parking if you rent a car ...if not, just use the multiple modes of public transport available in this wonderful country (from taxis to Collectivo Mini buses [great bargain] to ADO air-conditioned deluxe buses with movies) Whether you want quaint Mexico or developed strip mall Americanized amenities this condo is close to all of it but in the comforts of a place you can call cozy home when visiting PDC. • Perfect

"This property, Casa del Sol-Altavista was amazing. The location was good for walking or driving. We had 10 adults and a 1 year old. The common rooms, kitchen, dining, family, pool table was open and large. Everything we needed was at the property. Plenty of privacy in the bedrooms and all had bathrooms. All was clean and secure. I really recommend this if you have a large group! Only accommodation we had to do was to block the stairs to keep the baby away from them. If I end up back in playa del Carmen, I will look to Erin for rental opportunities, she met us when we arrived and explained everything to u . BEAUTIFUL HOUSE!"

  • Excellent choice for our couples vacation!

"The condo was beautifully decorated, comfortable and clean. The kitchen was well stocked and was easy to buy a few groceries and eat in some during our stay. We loved being just steps away from the pool, beach, and 5th avenue. It's only a block away from all the main strip of restaurants and shops but tucked away quietly from the noise and people. We always felt safe and appreciated the 24 hour security. The condo is setup great also for girls trips or families! I would highly recommend and can't wait to go back again!!"

  • This is a great place for a family stay. Near the beach, near the resorts.

"We came to Playa del Carmen for our son's wedding in a nearby all-inclusive resort. Our party consisted of my wife and I, our two daughters' families (with three children under age 3) and another son. Resorts and children really don't mix so this place worked out well. Ulla, the property manager was great at giving us advise on logistics (she arranged for private transportation from airport for 5 different trips). Gladys, the housekeeper, also is a chef and cooked three dinners for us (she supplies the groceries, cooks and cleans up). The kitchen is well equipped. A dozen other nice properties surround a shared pool and tennis court. The beach is a couple blocks away via a locked gated approach and the resort row starts a block away. Taxis can be hailed on the street outside the front door for shopping sprees at nearby Walmart or Mexican markets. This place is better than the property description. Fans and A/C in each room. We had 10 for dinner one night. Great patio for breakfast, coffee or afternoon beer. Property contains a pavilion that one could entertain 100 people.Floors are tile and stairs and upper common area are open so rain will cause slipperiness."
