  • This is a beautiful property that takes you away from everything

"We arrived at the property mid July 2016 and we were pleasantly surprised to have owners Collene and Nora waiting for us. They showed us the property and even showed us around town. We were there for 10 days and every day was relaxing and memorable. The property is very private except for the construction that was occurring next door. We were surprised while walking on the beach with the Adults Only nude resort that was down the beach. People are totally nude and relaxed. (FYI if you have kids with you) The house keeper did come in three times during our stay as well as the pool guy. The property is very welled maintained and comfortable. There are plenty of fans that makes the heat very bearable. The upstairs balcony is excellent for relaxing on the hammock. The two refrigerators are excellent to stock food, refreshments and leftovers. The kitchen is very well stocked and comfortable. The town is a about 15 to 20 minutes walking and less if you rent bicycles. This was a perfect getaway for two. I also recommend the Colibis Spa. The 2 1/2 hour treatment was amazing. I highly recommend it. Be careful when driving because the signage is limited and there are no access entrances to the highway. Once again thanks to Collene and Nora for the wonderful memories. You have created a home not just a house."

  • The magical unit at Casita Blanca

"For the last six winters I have found heaven and haven in a one bedroom unit in the most perfectly sized condo complex in puerto morelos. Casita Blanca is a small community of 18 units, a group of owners and renters who seem to have found a lovely balance of neighbourliness and privacy in a quiet beachfront setting, all beautifully maintained by Cesar who tends the pool and gardens. The unit I rent, which is about to be completely renovated, can sleep 5 with two twin beds and a king in the bedroom and a futon ( or pullout couch) in the living room. It is located within 20 feet of the pool deck ( nice for quiet late evening dips) and has the best view of the sea from ground level that the complex affords. This means early morning snapshots of the sunrise from the living room, beach and pool lounging in seconds from the sliding glass door, and unloading groceries from the Wednesday market without climbing stairs (not to mention a brand new kitchen in a few weeks ). Of course there are the 15 minute slow walks to town for dinner, slower saunters back on the beach watching stars and planets, snorkelling at the Ojo down the beach, the the unico bar next door, flamenco on Saturday nights, the dancing at Serena, the music everywhere, and the Layla guest house lectures on local history and creative writing classes. That is the magic of P.M. well into the spring and summer. But this lovely unit holds its own magic for anyone who chooses to turn the key in the door when they arrive!"

  • Perfect vacation for 3 couples!

"Absolutely beautiful home located right on the beach, it was perfect for the three couples. We had rental cars, so we ventured to Akumel and Isla Mujeres during our stay. Personally I could stay by the pool or on the beach the entire week. There was plenty to do in the little town square. Bikes are provided to take the short ride into town, which we did and tried a new restaurant each night. Habaneros is a favorite. If you scuba dive, there is a Padi shop just up the beach called Wet Set. I have used them to dive several times and never been disappointed. There is so much to do and see, that we never once turned on the TV. There is plenty of room in the kitchen for gatherings and coffee in the mornings. It is just so perfect it is hard to describe, so you must experience it for yourself!"

  • Best Vacation Ever!

"Last month my college girlfriends and I gathered for a long in the making reunion. We were all so excited we could have slept on the beach (although it’s been around 40 years since we did that!). Fortunately we were spared the camping adventure and ended up at Casa South Breeze in Puerto Morelos Mexico. Wow, we’re coming up in the world! I was totally blown away by the place. First of all I was impressed with the arched front door floating in the iron scroll work flanked by beautiful vines of bougainvillea. This opens to a brick patio landscaped with tropical plants and a seating area to relax in under the plants. This area leads to another impressive door lit by a huge Mexican iron chandelier. I stepped into a Mexican villa decorated with tile floors, comfortable furniture; looking out to the pool and 180 degree ocean view. The kitchen is large with a stunning tile mosaic of fish as a focal point. Eight people could easily fit here all working at the same time. This kitchen has access to a screened-in outside working kitchen for grilling. The porch also has a table for outside dining; and always the magnificent view of the pool and ocean. There is a master bedroom on the first floor with a Mexican tile bath, and a private screened-in porch with chairs and hammock; again with the pool and ocean view. The rest of the bedrooms (3) are on the second floor and 2 have private baths. What I love about this place is the house has many architectural angles in the back, allowing each of the upstairs rooms to have their own balcony and 180 degree view of the pool and ocean. Every room has beautiful windows that open for a great cross ventilation of ocean breeze. I have enjoyed the cooling colors in the house, the art work and the exquisite ironwork throughout. Even the kitchen sink is angled for the best view of the ocean. I have truly enjoyed every minute of my time here. You will feel at peace and enjoy all the beauty Mexico and Casa South Breeze has to offer."
