  • Exceeds Expectations

"My family has been going to PM for 10 years and we have stayed in some great places, including one right on the beach, but this place beats them all. Not only does the rooftop patio have a killer ocean view, it also comes with a palapa, a grill and jetted POOL. Actually more of an oversized tub than a pool, you won't be swimming laps, but on a hot day you'll be glad it's up there. The recent expansion was also a nice surprise (this is the third time we've stayed in this unit), it tripled the living space and kitchen upgrade is fantastic. We'll be back."

  • Great Time In Puerto Morelos

"Our vacation began in Playa Del Carmen with 6 of our friends the week before we came to Palma Real. They all still work and could only get away for a week and we wanted to stay longer but somewhere new to us. Having never been to Puerto Morelos and not knowing if we would like the area I booked the condo for 2 weeks. Big mistake!! I should have taken it for a month! Puerto Morelos is now my new favorite place! The condo was comfortable and had everything we needed. Didn't take long to settle into a daily routine. We met friendly people around the pool, both owners and vacationers, that gave us tips on where to eat and what to check out. Most afternoons everyone gathered around the pool for beverages and chat time. The first walk into town going around the port was interesting to say the least but we never felt threatened. We went into town almost every evening for dinner because we wanted to try all the small "hole in the wall" eateries we saw! The food was so good and very reasonable, so why cook! We only had 1 dinner that was just ok. If it was just the 2 of us we took a taxi back, if we went with people we met at the condo, we walked back together. Just bring a little flashlight or use your phone flashlight, cause the road behind the port is bumpy! Sometimes we went into town twice a day, if we went for breakfast or to the little market for grocery items. The taxis are plentiful but negotiate the price before getting in. It's different every time! After running around on numerous excursions in PDC the week before, it was nice to just chill by the pool and go for beach walks. The only downside in the condo location is that you can't walk the beach north to town. We did walk south past the Caribbean Reef condos and El-Cid all inclusive to the marina. In front of those places the beaches are raked and nice. Where there are open areas or where nothing is built there is sargassum grass that's washed ashore along with assorted plastic bottles and junk. At Palma Real, Gustavo keeps the beach nice. The owner of the condo, Eric, was a pleasure to work with and promptly answered any email questions I had. The property management, Mayan Riviera Properties, was just as responsive to any problems at the condo. We stopped at their office while in town one morning and reported a couple small things that needed to be fixed and they were there that afternoon to make repairs! We enjoyed our stay and look forward to coming back to PM and Palma Real!"

  • Fantastic accommodation and unbeatable view

"If you are looking for a peaceful relaxing vacation then this is the place for you. The property is really well maintained. This unit is on the third floor and looks out over palm trees to the ocean. The view and sound of the waves is unbeatable. The condo is quite a walk from town if you are carrying groceries. There are no restaurants nearby so if you aren't cooking then you will need to go into town everyday. There is a wide variety of restaurants in town and we enjoyed our meals out. We walked back to the condo most nights after dinner. If you plan on doing the same then bring a flashlight. Taxis are plentiful and cost around 50 pesos. The kitchen is well equipped with microwave, stove, fridge, and oven. There are lots of dishes, glassware, and pots so you are able to make your own meals. There is even a small charcoal BBQ on the balcony. We snorkelled from the beach and saw some small schools of fish. The water was a bit murky from the sand being stirred up by the waves. Our best experience snorkelling was from the public beach in town. Frank and Sherry (the owners) were great to deal with and responded quickly when we didn't have water. The small staff on site were available and easy to work with when we needed water and when the wifi went down. Overall we would highly recommend this VRBO. Chris and Laurianne"

  • Life is Better in Flip Flops!

"Extraordinary view from every angle and the perfect home base from which to explore the Riviera Maya. A quiet setting steps from the water, a short walk into the fishing village of Puerto Morelos, and easy access to the major highway. The description and pictures of the Palma Real condo are true and accurate; our family of four adults thoroughly enjoyed our stay there."
