  • Beachfront condo overlooking pool

"This condo was clean and fully furnished. We have stayed at this complex for the past 3 years and found the owners easy to correspond with. We especially enjoyed having HBO (English speaking) and various channels available on the TV. Others in the complex said they didn't have this feature in their condo, it came in real handy for the guys on super bowl sunday! There was plenty of space to spread out and the roof top patio was a great spot to watch the cruise ships, dive boats and the beautiful sunsets. The US telephone line and strong internet service was an added bonus. Quiet complex with great snorkeling right in front of the complex."

  • Best Vacation Ever!

"Last month my college girlfriends and I gathered for a long in the making reunion. We were all so excited we could have slept on the beach (although it’s been around 40 years since we did that!). Fortunately we were spared the camping adventure and ended up at Casa South Breeze in Puerto Morelos Mexico. Wow, we’re coming up in the world! I was totally blown away by the place. First of all I was impressed with the arched front door floating in the iron scroll work flanked by beautiful vines of bougainvillea. This opens to a brick patio landscaped with tropical plants and a seating area to relax in under the plants. This area leads to another impressive door lit by a huge Mexican iron chandelier. I stepped into a Mexican villa decorated with tile floors, comfortable furniture; looking out to the pool and 180 degree ocean view. The kitchen is large with a stunning tile mosaic of fish as a focal point. Eight people could easily fit here all working at the same time. This kitchen has access to a screened-in outside working kitchen for grilling. The porch also has a table for outside dining; and always the magnificent view of the pool and ocean. There is a master bedroom on the first floor with a Mexican tile bath, and a private screened-in porch with chairs and hammock; again with the pool and ocean view. The rest of the bedrooms (3) are on the second floor and 2 have private baths. What I love about this place is the house has many architectural angles in the back, allowing each of the upstairs rooms to have their own balcony and 180 degree view of the pool and ocean. Every room has beautiful windows that open for a great cross ventilation of ocean breeze. I have enjoyed the cooling colors in the house, the art work and the exquisite ironwork throughout. Even the kitchen sink is angled for the best view of the ocean. I have truly enjoyed every minute of my time here. You will feel at peace and enjoy all the beauty Mexico and Casa South Breeze has to offer."

  • Fabulous place to stay

"we spent 7 nights at the condo. it's on the top floor of the building, with a great view of the pool and the beach. although we had neighbors, it is very quite. there was a complimentary cleaning mid way through the stay. the unit is clean and modern. the bedroom is large with a very comfortable bed. there is plenty of clean towels and they gave us clean sheets and towels during the mid week cleaning. the kitchen has all the utensils you need. we have stayed at Residencia Reef condos in the past but not this specific unit. Residencia Reef is a well maintained complex with security gates and security guard. the grounds are maintained and it has a private beach as well as 2 pools and at least 1 hot tub in the common area. each building also has a terrace on its roof, where you can enjoy great sunsets with a glass of wine. highly recommend residencia reef and we plan to stay at this same unit again."

  • Beautiful views of the ocean in a private setting

"Martin's condo is everything he says it is. We stayed with another couple for 7 nights. It was my second time there and their first. The views are absolutely stunning and the property is very well kept. Marty and the manager will make sure they can do anything to accommodate your stay and the other employees of La Iguana become your friends. We made most of our meals in the condo so the kitchen is well stocked with cooking utensils. The fresh water was in constant supply which was also nice for our weary friends. Our favorite things to do in Akumal was snorkeling in Yal Kul lagoon (a 5 min walk from the condo), dinner at Del Pescador near Turtle Bay and happy hour at La Buena Vida where you can have drinks and eat while laying in a hammock right on the beach. Just south of Akumal you will find beautiful beaches and wonderful cenotes everywhere you go. Some may question being on the north end of half moon bay but please don't. At La Iguana you aren't far from Akumal but get much more peace and quiet than the resorts and places closer to town will offer. If you are adventurous skip renting a car and just rent bikes for 5 dollars a day and take collectivos to go to tulum. It's faster to ride a bike to town than take a car in my opinion, lol. VEA ATV tours was a major highlight of this vacation so look into it if you like atving through the jungle! Thanks again Marty for a fabulous time!"
