  • Family vacation of a lifetime!!!

"A picture of our trip now resides in a prominent place on my desk at work and in our home that conjures up day dreams and much needed remembrance during everyday life of the most memorable family vacation of our lives. Our family spans three generations and our past traditional family vacation never had the luxury of having full time daily housekeeping, an incredible chef makeing every meal and drink we could possible want and doing all the shopping! Having all these luuxries afforded us the ability to focus on the quality time, talk and adventures that this villa provided us as a family to enjoy. The house keeper was the kindest person you could ask to be able to relate to your grandchildren. And the chef put all the women at ease about not needing to cook or go out with his fabulous dishes and drinks. My favorite was the fresh grilled fish. The private beach area with the hammocks and the lounge chairs, the kayaks and the third floor balcony and well as the six porches provided the most inviting private space for our family to roam behind a fenced and very private area. This feeling of being in paradise fostered some much anticipated and essential one on one conversations that contributed to the shaping of my family’s future. As a true Hacienda located on huge lot KASS unfolded each day new and exciting individual and family living areas like none I have every experienced on vacation. Privacy and safety were right up there with comfort. We felt free to let the children roam like we did when we were children. So they would come back and report on the new things like turtles and birds that they had never seen with welcomed enthusiasm. The great room area is like the most luxurious hotel lobby one has ever been in with authentic antiques , one of a kind Mayan and Greek museum quality art, sculptures and furnishings that invited authentic interactions. We have family laughter in there like I have never experienced. I was so glad to finally be staying someplace that looked like I was staying is at a large luxurious Hacienda of past years and not another rental with most the of same kinds of furnishing and layout that one can experience up and down this beach in most of the rentals. The test of what it meant to my family can be seen in how often the youngest keep asking for when are we going back. They felt comfort in the water because the water was crystal clear, there was none of the seaweed that other beaches have been experiencing, the"

  • Paradise

"Loved my week long stay at Casa Palmeras! The staff was fantastic and the house was even better than the pictures. We saw turtles, manta rays, Barracudas, and a huge school of fish while snorkeling in the bay. Very private and relaxing location. I would definitely stay at Casa Palmeras again."

  • A Must Stay in the Area

"This casa is one of the best I've rented in Tulum, hands down. VERY well maintained, it's spacious & comfortable. Gianni and Sue are pleasant hosts & took care of every detail including providing bottled water, coffee, cookware, linens to a wonderful staff to clean the entire house, clean dishes and the pool area every day! Sue is a fantastic cook, we recommend ordering a few meals ($10USD) & massage for only $20USD! They have menu with all offerings. Things to note: - You will need a car, this house is off the beaten track. - You will need water shoes to walk along the beach outside of the house. While the beach resort area of Tulum has white sandy beaches you can walk on, this area is noted for the coral reefs & rocky shoreline. It is great to have reefs right at our house, so we could just jump in the water & start snorkeling. - The bedrooms all have A/C, but the main common space of the house does not. The morning hours were the hottest in the backyard & house, since it faces the east & the beautiful wall of glass allows the sunlight to come pouring in. As long as you keep the A/C on in the bedrooms and your doors open throughout the day, the common space will cool down fine. - There is a very small bodega a bike ride or short drive down the dirt road where you can get emergency items, but it is limited. It is best to go to the Chedraui supermarket in the town of Tulum, about 10 min drive from the house. It is open until 10pm every night & has everything you will need, including clothing & electronics. - There are three restaurants a few minutes drive back down the dirt road towards the highway. We ate at two & HIGHLY recommend them! !) Blue Sky Hotel has good thin crust pizza and fish. Ask for the milk and butter fish which is not on the menu, but a staff favorite. Erik "the Viking" was a local who had a wonderful personality and great tips for the area & sight seeing that we wished we knew when first arrived; 2) Casa Cenote where you can sit on the beach & eat fresh caught lobster and fish, amazing food and drinks. Daniel was our server & a really easy to talk to guy. It is owned by an ex pat from Texas who does a Texas style BBQ every Sunday at noon if you're in the mood. - Coba vs. Chitzan Itza... Coba is closer (1 hr vs. 1:45 from house, not as manicured and you can still climb to the top.) If you go to Coba, definitely get a tour. You won't know what you're seeing without it & you can learn all about the flora & fauna as well."

  • Exquisite Property On Best Part of Soliman Bay!

"Our amazing 1-week stay at Villa Mar Caribe began in mid November of 2016, and included our large family of 6 adults and 4 children, the kids ranging in age from 2-10 years old. In short, this villa is absolutely perfect for large groups that value relaxation and want to enjoy all of the natural beauty that Soliman Bay has to offer. We did not find a single flaw with this villa, and unanimously agreed that Villa Mar Caribe is the best villa that we have had the privilege of staying in during our 3 separate family trips to Cancun (this being our second stay in Soliman Bay). Specifically, the villa is beautiful inside, with 2 well-appointed first floor kitchens and ample bedrooms spaced out with large comfortable beds and linens. The 2 master suites on the second floor are stunning, with an expansive connecting deck perfect for morning coffee or evening cocktails. The enormous 3rd floor rooftop deck is another perfect gathering spot for the entire group to luxuriate, feel the ocean breeze and watch seabirds dive for their meal just yards ahead. The beach side pool and lounging area are something to behold. The pool is clean and refreshing. The multiple seating areas outside are under beautiful traditional palapa thatched roofs, with plenty of comfortable seating for large groups. There are even 4 hammocks, perfectly strewn along the beach, under separate palapas where you can relax and listen to the sounds of the bay. And speaking of the bay, Villa Mar Caribe is set on literally the most pristine and most desirable part of Soliman Bay, which is really saying something. The sand in front of Villa Mar Caribe is sugar soft and the pristine wide beach gave us plenty of space to play, even holding nightly soccer games with the kids. The water and snorkeling directly behind the villa is some of the best that we encountered in our Cancun stay. We saw turtles in the bay every evening and all we had to do to see colorful fish, rays and eels was walk out into the bath-like water and swim a few dozen yards offshore. The bay is shallow, safe and an amazing place to explore via snorkeling or via one of the 4 ocean kayaks provided by the villa. I am running out of space to describe this amazing villa, but suffice it to say, we have plans to return soon. This is truly a special place. Owner is good to work with and villa staff are very good. Highly recommend the chefs for dinners. Their food was spectacular and their service was beyond reproach."
