  • Great house, great location

"We loved our stay at Villa Valhalla. The house was large and comfortable. Six master suites, all with ocean views allowed everyone the same stay. The pool was perfect. We cooked in the kitchen as well as having two meals catered in by Chef Daveed. His meals were fantastic and authentic. Akumal is away from the crowds of Playa del Carman, but we didn't want for anything."

  • 4 Couples + 10 Days@ Casa Pajaros= 1 Incredible Vacation

"Our stay @ Casa Pajaros began with a brief meeting with Pam the owner and Roberto the manager. They showed us the house gave us all the pertinent info. and instructions and then left us to get settled in and start enjoying the place. The meeting was very informal which made us all feel very comfortable! The house is just as beautiful as the pictures in the ad show. Truly Casa Pajaros is just a small resort! All the details of a vacation home have been addressed here, as everything you would need for an extended stay is provided. Puerto Morelos is very relaxed and slow paced. There are plenty of options for dining out or groceries so you can eat in and enjoy this gorgeous property. Thanks again to Pam and Roberto and also to Adrian, we hope to be able to visit again soon!"

  • Gorgeous views & Tastefully decorated!

"Ellen's place is exactly as pictured and described! Since it is a little South of town, we rented a car at the airport and made a pit stop at Mega (similar to a super Walmart) just for some cereal, fruit and snacks. Everything was clean, FULLY STOCKED (you truly just need your clothes, everything else is there!!), felt completely and totally safe and not to mention the stunning views as soon as you walk in the front door! Residencias Reef dock is an excellent place for any snorkeling/scuba diving your heart desires; the companies will pick you up directly from the dock and bring you back. I suggest snorkeling in El Cielo; take a day trip to Chichen Itza (who doesn't want to see one of the 7 wonders of the world?), and simply relaxing on the beach or at one of the two pools. As far as restaurants go, try Casa Denis; Guidos; or Panchos Backyard. For drinks, this is a MUSTTTTT!!! Travel past the southern lighthouse (Punta Sur) and you'll end up on the Eastern side of the island. Pass Reggae's just a bit and you'll see a little hut-style place right on the water that says "25 Hour Bar - Welcome to Miami". Stop the car!! Relax in an ocean side hammock and enjoy a Coco-Loco coconut beverage or the absolute BEST mojito of your life!!! (Trust me on this, I searched the island upside down for the best mojito, this place takes the cake!!) I only wish we would have went earlier in the week to have made several trips back for more!! Back to the condo, Ellen was very nice to work with and her place is exactly what you need and want in a romantic getaway with your significant other! Oh, and those sheets!! Ellen isn't kidding when she said that Cariloha Bamboo sheets are the best sheets on Earth. We loved them so much, we went to Cariloha downtown and purchased a set for us to take home! WELL WORTH THE PRICE!! We intend to travel the world to many other continents and countries, but if we ever find ourselves on the beautiful island of Cozumel again, Ellen's condo at Residencias Reef is where we will be staying for sure."

  • Perfect for the kind of Mexico trip we wanted

"We had a really great trip, and our decision to stay at your place in Chemuyil made for a much more authentic Mexican experience than most families get. It also saved us money that we were able to spend on fun experiences in the area. It’s pretty hard to pull off and afford a good international vacation with 5 kids, but your house made it all work. The location on the park, across the street from the grocery store, and just down the way from Leo’s and La Palapa was great. It was fun seeing the Quinceneara festivities one evening, sitting on some guy's front patio watching him make delicious fresh breakfast empanadas for us, and just walking around town seeing how the locals live. And then, being so close to Xcacel Beach, Xel-ha, Tulum (you should add Pollo Bronco to your recommendations list!), Akumal, and Coba was perfect. The house itself was a great setup for us. Having so many rooms to spread out in was very nice, and the 3rd and 4th floor decks were a cool extra touch. As Ryan notes several times, this is not a pristine, sanitized resort kind of a trip. It's a lot closer to real Mexico, but still manageable for gringos with limited Spanish. Barking dogs, roosters, geckos in the house, some trash in the streets...but for just over $100 bucks a night, and so close to so much great stuff? I'd highly recommend it to a family looking for culture and adventure."
