  • Relaxing HOME, GREAT food and best beach in the area

"This house lives like a home! The service provided by Mirna and her husband in cooking and cleaning should not be missed! I wanted to bring Mirna home with me. I have never had a vacation where I looked forward to the meals as much as this other than when I went to Italian Cooking School! The value of having the meals at home is incredible. We walked the beach every day and felt that our location was the best actual beach/sand in the bay area. We had Mirna cook a late breakfast and an earlier dinner and snacked at lunch. You can pre-order groceries to be delivered to the house. There is a man- Cesar, who you can arrange to pick you up at the airport and drop you, which I highly recommend. It's not a bad walk on the beach to town if you need to pick up extras at the grocery. The house is well thought out for privacy and sound. Pick up your alcohol needs on the way from the airport and you're set! I will go back to this house in a heartbeat. Bedrooms are spacious and comfortable."

  • The authentic and magical Mexico!

"This was my 4th visit to Hacienda Sac Chich and if I thought it was amazing before, I was blown away by it now. The owners have continued to refine this property, going to any and every length to ensure its authenticity, beauty, and comfort. Their eye for the artistic and dramatic offer a feast for the senses. I tried to snap photos for social media bragging rights, but I could never do it justice. On this particular trip we were 4 couples for a 5-night getaway and it couldn't have been more perfect. Based on the owners recommendation we had an exceptional dinner in nearby Merida, we hired a wonderful massage therapist to come to the hacienda for a few treatments, we visited nearly a cenote a day - each one more wonderful than the next, climbed the Mayan ruins, and were thrilled at our good fortune that there was a festival/rodeo/bullfight right in their little village the weekend of our visit! But mostly, we just enjoyed this magical place with our big decisions each day being which pool to dip in, which location to watch the sunset from, and what kind of margaritas we would serve at happy hour. If you need to escape the stresses of life, turn back time, rejuvenate - this is where you need to be. And just in case you're not able to fully shut off the outside world (full disclosure - that includes me) they do have wifi ; )"

  • Our Stay in Paradise

"We rented Casa Stephanie for two weeks this spring. We have stayed in several of the Residencias Reef condos over the past few years. This one did not disappoint. We would recommend this to anyone looking for a get away. The resort is incredibly well kept, the people friendly and we had a wonderful time."

  • As Good as it Gets in Playa for Location & Property

"Believe all the excellent reviews regarding the beach front location, condo unit, proximity to restaurants, bars and shopping. The owners were great to work with and the reservation process was very easy. Ideal for 2 couples as each bedroom has a king bed along with a large bathroom. We stayed in late May which was very quite which meant there were plenty of available lounge chairs at the pool and beach. The 3 buildings in El Faro are well maintained and the security staff is plentiful and willing to assist you. My wife was concerned about safety prior to the trip but felt very comfortable the entire time as the guards are 24/7 and the area around the buildings seems safe. If you are high maintenance with high service needs you should stay in a full service resort as it would be unfair to criticize the property for something it does not promote itself to be. We were OK with bringing our own drinks to the pool or getting drinks from the beach bar right next door. Rooms are tidied up every other day but new towel are an additional fee. We ate out for all meals as that is what we do on vacation but if you wanted to cook the kitchen is well stocked and there is a grill on the patio. My wife had a massage by the pool, most of us did the trip to the Mayan ruins and the boys did para-sailing right down the beach. We only stayed 4 nights because of work commitments but would recommend at least 5 nights. We have recommended the place to all our friends except 1 couple that normally stay at the Ritz or Four Seasons. We would not look to stay at any other place on our next trip to Playa del Carmen."
