  • Wonderful location out of the Tulum crush but close enough to enjoy

"Casa Sophia was the perfect home to host our group of 9. From the immaculately kept property, large rooms and shared spaces to the amazing roof view and palapa overlooking the ocean on one side and the lagoon on the other - this place is something special. The booking process is easy and the owners get back to you quickly with answers. The staff are great. Gabby the housecleaner cleaned up around us and accommodated our multi schedules. Manuel the amazing grounds and gatekeeper always around when you need him and with a large smile. Didn't even know we had security as he arrives late but was a comforting presence. The pool is great with a really deep end and a shallow side pool to accommodate everyone and the beach is pristine, with empty beautiful beach as far as you can see. There is not much area for laying out on the beach in front of the property - at times with the tide in, the water was lapping at the bottom of the stairs but if you head to the north 5 minutes you will find a wider section of beach. Our group were fishing a lot and there was fishing to be had down the road in the lagoon. Crocodiles too. The road was being graded before we left so missed the smooth access but expect a really bumpy road and you will bottom out in places if you are heavy. Just about 15 minutes to get to the hub of the Tulum Beach road boutiques and restaurants where you can find really good pizza, mexican, italian you name it and the ambience of the town is wonderful. Large grocery stores at the main highway in to stock up on all the essentials with police and hospital close by. Access to all the tours is possible from the main town too but you can drive to the wonderful cenotes, theme water parks and ruins within an hour. Love this end of the world and would recommend to any large group who like to travel together this fantastic house."

  • Outstanding Accomodations- spacious, beautiful decor, extremely well equipped

"Elizabeth was highly available and very helpful with all details of accomodations- where to shop, where to get fresh fish, where to snorkel. She providecd a welcome package with goodies, extra coffee and some wine and beer. All welcomed and unexpected. Great location on beach, beautiful pool with comfy beds. Great restaurants nearby on beach but we chose to buy groceries and utilize the abundantly stocked kitchen. We snorkelled twice a day and loved it. Many we saw were diving as well and got picked up from dock next door. Residencias Reef with Elizabeth and Matt was a great choice. We would choose here again."

  • Caribbean Paradise!

"Andrea and Dick from Mpls stayed there for 10 glorious days in early February. The weather couldn't have been more perfect and the breeze from the Gulf was lovely! The condo is beautiful, exceptionally clean and comfortable. The pictures are accurate. The staff at the condo are very accommodating and we enjoyed talking to them and practicing Spanish. We were so happy to not rent a car as it's not necessary to go into town - our cab ride was 50 pesos (plus tip) and the taxi drivers were all nice. We ate at 12 or more different restaurants in town and all were delicious! We found a few cafes that we really liked and the coffee was great too! The town square was buzzing with vendors and musicians and break dancers which was all very entertaining. If you like to snorkel, we went through Pelicanos. It was $25 US per person which was cheap. 'Charlie Brown' was our guide, he is very experienced and a funny guy. If you want a laid back vacation without the hustle and bustle of Cancun, this is the place. One other aspect that we really enjoyed was there were plenty of local people and tourists from other parts of Mexico enjoying this sweet town as well. We plan to be back in 2018!!!!"

  • Spectacular beachfront home...everything you need for a fabulous Carribean vacation!

"We had a wonderful time at Villa Encantada! The house is spectacular and very well equipped with everything you could possibly need. The staff was very professional and we felt like one big family by the time we left. Isis, our chef, was one of the best parts of our stay. She prepared beautiful, delicious meals for us everyday! Loved her adorable smile and happy disposition. The sunsets are spectacular from every spot on the property. The only thing I would suggest is trimming the trees a bit near the beach as they are starting to block the view a bit. Thank you to Bridget for helping us set up our excursions and getting to and from the villa from Cancun airport. We can't wait to come back!"
